Roasted Prime Rib French Dip*
thinly sliced prime rib, au jus
Up scale atmosphere. Love the ambience! Great service! Appetizer selection is limited and the bulk of my party is not a fan of the cornbread. However, entree selections are good!
Went for early dinner for Father's Day. Food was overall pretty good. I wouldn't say mesmerizing, but it was very tasty.
- Horseradish crusted filet mignon + applebaked bacon wrap was good, but Dad said he'd order without all of the crust/bacon next time in order to fully enjoy the meat.
- asparagus and broccoli (sides) were decent, but the best side was the roasted mushroom caps. That was probably the best dish of the whole meal.
- Spit Roasted Chicken was yummy; skin was crispy while meat was tender and juicy. Great, but honestly not super different from a Costco Rotisserie Chicken?
- Ordered chocolate cake and cheesecakae for dessert. They were good, not insanely amazing nor disgusting. It's what one would expect.
However, the service was what made the meal good to "meh." He had clearly not been trained long (or at all), as he was unintentionally rude, unaware, and honestly just terrible at his job. Did he bring the food? Yeah. Did he ignore us for periods of time for way too long, and then whenever he did show up, interrupt something my dad was saying EVERY single time, instead of waiting 2 seconds to allow the speaker to finish? Yes.
Did he, when bringing drinks out, place our drinks directly on top of our paper menus, causing the condensation to ruin the menu? Yes. Did he offer to replace them? No. Did he even take trash or menus away at any point? No lol.
At the end, when giving us our food for takeout, did he place the bag neatly to the side? No. Did he place the bag oddly right in between the speakers to interrupt them and also cause a view block? Yes.
He got frustrated when I asked him some questions about the menu, and even tapped my menu to make a point while grimacing.
Are any of these things alone terrible? No. But this is supposed to be a classy establishment, and this service was what I'd expect from an IHOP on a bad day lol.
I know the industry is hurting to hire right now, but that dude needs to go. He's going to hurt your business.
The bartenders, Sam and Brian are two of the best. Excellent service and food keep us coming back.
The prime rib french dip is one of the best in the D.C. Metro area.
Great food and service. Perfect for Father's Day dinner with family.
The crab cakes are not made with lump meat. May want to try another selection. The salmon on plank taste frozen not fresh. Berry-cherry mojito taste like syrup. I was not pleased as I was pre Covid.
We frequent Wildfire, but this was our first post COVID-19 visit. Its always a noiser than I would like, but the food and service is always excellent.
I took my husband to Wildfire for Fathers Day, as its one of our go to special occasion places. It was fine. We had to ask for water, which is fine, but service was a little slow all around. The shrimp cocktail was skimpy for $15 and there was no presentation to it, just a few shrimp laid out on a plate with some cocktail sauce. The food and wine was acceptable. The cherry pie with whipped cream was wonderful. It was busy so slow service was understandable.
As usual food and service were great. Prices went up after COVID
We took my Dad here for a Father’s Day lunch and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!
Went for a sunday brunch on fathers day and they were serving the dinner service menu. No breakfast options, nothing special or unique about thr experience. Very disappointing, a big let down
Food is always excellent and well prepared. The cornbread they put on the table is delicious. Could make a whole meal with that and a few sides! The portions are generous and the service excellent
Good from start to finish.
We had a lovely and enjoyable time, as always. The chopped salad was delicious. Next was the very moist and yummy cornbread. Not one complaint about our meals - cooked to perfection. Our waited, Luis was very nice and professional. He’s one of our favorite waiters there. Only disappointed was that the rice wasn’t being offered at this time. However, we ended up with a very delicious dessert for our daughter’s 26th birthday. Another very wonderful time at this restaurant! Of course, we will join them again!
Get the chopped mixed salad. You won’t be disappointed.
Great service and got food quickly
Luis made excellent wine recommendations and was a perfect host. Thanks you!
Came here with my boss and the meal and service were fantastic. So many different selections on the menu and half off bottle wines on Wednesdays! For appetizers, we ordered the goat cheese dip and Caesar salad to share. The “small” salad was entree sized! For the main,l course, I ordered the bone in rib eye and my boss had the cedar salmon with sides of mash potatoes and mushrooms. The food was extremely delicious and generous. The key lime pie was amazing as well.
The experience was not bad but I expected more. Value of price to quality is questionable.
It was our first time visiting Wildfire and it did not disappoint! I was looking for a restaurant for a small reunion with friends I hadn’t seen in about 25 years. I was looking for a place that was quiet with good ambiance, food and service for a leisurely lunch. It checked off all these boxes!
Service was excellent and the staff was attentive and accurate
Another outstanding meal and experience at Wildfire! This place never disappoints!
Food was very average, wife’s food was cold. Broccoli basically uncooked.
Delicious food and wonderful service. I love the mushrooms and the lamb.
We were a party of six; I had been there before and recommended it. It was a great experience for all of us. The service was excellent. Food was very good and the atmosphere was nice. We all thought the prices were really reasonable for this area and for the quality of the meals.
I had the price fixe lunch. Caesar salad, salmon, and key lime pie for dessert about $25. I had a side of french fries and my friend had the mashed potatoes. The french fries were limp/tasteless, but everything else was good.
Crab cakes and creamed spinach were delicious. We had a great time. Mango tini was awesome
The restaurant was fabulous as it appeared. The ambiance for a date night depended upon where you were seated. We didn’t mind the noise from other patrons because the choice was given to us to where we wished to be seated.
The waiter was excellent. He listened and catered to our every request without missing a beat. Once we told him about a food allergy he was ecstatic we told him ahead of rime and he made mention they are very cautious and become over protective with someone who has food allergies.
Drinks were made to perfection! Kudos to the bartender!
I had the Queen Cut Prime Rib. Perfectly cooked and seasoned!
My wife had the mixed salad with Salmon.
The only downfall of the whole evening was that the Salmon was not cooked thoroughly in the beginning. Our waiter was made aware of it and quickly got it handled and the manager came back with a perfectly cooked Salmon.
The Coup de grace was the “Triple Layer Chocolate Cake”!
We purchased two for us to take home to finish out our date night and we both agree the cake ended our night perfectly 😉
Went for graduation. Excellent service. Hamburger was the best food served & was a good value. My halibut was expensive & dry. Chicken and shrimp dishes were about average. They made it special by bringing out a dessert with a candle! Nice surprise!! It made our son smile & made it celebratory.
Excellent for our large group
Everything was wonderful
Went there on my anniversary. Wanted to have the Sat night special. They were out of it at 7 PM. Someone is not properly ordering or else it is a bait and switch to get people in. They also add a 5% surcharge to the bill to offset the effects of COVID. Yet the restaurant was full to capacity.
Our server, "411 Tatiana" was outstanding! She was friendly courteous and respectful of our dining privacy.
We have been to Wildfire multiple times. It is a go-to when we have a big event to celebrate (graduations, etc). The food has always been great and the staff pleasant and attentive without hovering.
Our server, Peter, was excellent! His attention to detail was impressive.
We went as a large group to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. They did a wonderful job making her feel special
Great. Luis the server was great. Too expensive to go often though.
The Door Count cherry pie is phenomenal! Recommend getting a whole pie to take home when in season.
A great time was had by all ... we were at Wildfire to celebrate my child's graduation from high school at his request because of the reliability of the food's quality, great service, easy parking, and atmosphere. He was not disappointed.
Wildfire was interesting, the food was good but not “absolutely amazing you must try this!!!” It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a slightly upscale joint. Above decent for in an above “outback” atmosphere with slightly higher than “Longhorn” prices! One of those,(we tried something different and it was pretty dope) places! The key lime is delicious and shareable and everything else is as you’d expect. I did notice the black people seated closer to the mall entrance side and given a more “urban” server, and whites inside with elderly white severs..... could’ve been a coincidence, but idk!
