Very good service and accommodating staff allowed for modification of some dishes. I had the scallops on a bed of spinach...delicious !
Excellent location and views. The food is delicious. I have not had a meal that I did not like when eating there.
This was our first time and the experience was wonderful. I appreciated that you could get a reservation for even just two so we were able to walk right in and sit down at the noon hour. You could tell that Andrew, our server, enjoys his job and he was very attentive. I had the scallops and they were delicious and my friend had the fish and chips and she stated the fish melted in her mouth. We also indulged in the chocolate cake and it is to die for. We will definitely be going to Wildfin again
Great food, beautiful views, and our server Michael was the best!
The food was fantastic! All the seafood was amazing. Some of the best we ever had (we were a party of 4). The servers were very nice but could have checked in with us a little more often (and it wasn't that busy). The atmosphere is superb. Can't wait for the summer to sit outside along the river. Thank you Vancouver! So great we don't have to cross the bridge into Portland and deal with that bridge traffic.
Best seafood we have had in a while. The seafood chowder was delicious!
Your food has gone downhill the service is excellent thougH. We are willing to pay a pretty penny for really good food and the last two times that we have on there we were very disappointed so we will not be going back unfortunately
Excellent food and excellent service from Emily. Great value.
Excellent menu, featuring nicely prepared seafood. Servers were top notch and knowledgeable . A very enjoyable (if a little loud) dining experience.
we waited over ten minutes even though i made a reservation and it wasn't busy inside. our drinks took over half an hour to get to us and we didn't get a chance to order until we had been there for at least forty minutes. we sat next to the kitchen so we watched my order sit on the counter for over ten minutes and told the waiter to make me a fresh order. it took us an hour and a half to order and eat. have been here before during dinner rush and had a great experience. brunch experience was disappointing to say the least.
My ribeye had no seasoning on it and was over cooked. I could have got a better quality steak at a breakfast chain.
The seafood was good though
Wonderful as always !
I dine here every time I am in Vancouver. Excellent food with prompt, friendly service.
We have been here several times. It has been very good each time. This time there were a couple of things that could have been improved. First, our waitress wiped her hands all over my husband’s wine glass while she was bringing it to him?? Her fingerprints were all over the “clean” wine glass. Not sure what that was about. I always order the ahi salad which I usually love. This time it was swimming in dressing, which was not a positive. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and the wait staff friendly, but our waitress was just ok this time. We will come back because we’ve had good meals, good service in the past. Maybe an off day?
Dinner at Wildfin was a good experience. This was our anniversary dinner and the staff arranged for us to have a table by the window. The salads were fantastic, and the dinner was very good. The salmon and trout were cooked perfectly. We will be back. Well done Wildfin.
The kitchen was a little behind, our food took longer than expected to come out for our party of 6. The waitress gave us dessert on the house for the inconvienience, which was very nice.
Great food and a great location on the waterfront. We have eaten there several times and have not been disappointed. It's our new favorite.
This was my 2nd time eating at Wildfin and both the food and service was great! On Motherday, I took my mom and her fish was a little underdone to her liking, so they took her fish back, left her the rest of the food on the plate to eat, and instead of just cooking her another piece of Salmon, they instead brought out a whole new meal- and the Server (same person I had the first time I ate there- who remembered me) said because she forgot to mention a few things, dessert was on her. My mom had a great Mothersday and she enjoyed the food as well!
This is a nice restaurant, but there were a number of small problems that give me reason to pause. Here are some: slow service, no wine glasses with wine, then a dirty one when brought, some plates with cool (but tasty) food—instead of hot, side substitution revealed when brought to table, menu item not brought but was told restaurant was out only when I inquired. Given it was Mother’s Day, it’s possible the restaurant was overwhelmed. Although this visit was a mediocre experience, I see the potential and would be willing to visit again. The positives are that the ambiance outside was nice (even though one customer shouted joyous expletives when the Blazers won—but that’s not the restaurant’s fault) and the staff is very friendly.
Huge difference between this visit and our first couple visits a few months ago, winter 2018. Previous experiences were good. I brought my wife in for Mother's day brunch. Our waiter was courteous but not very helpful. My wife ordered eggs Benedict and a mimosa, which was not balanced well (too much OJ, not enough Champagne). She told him about that and he suggested she order a double. What a solution. Her eggs Benedict was dry as if it had been sitting waiting for someone to order it. I ordered the seafood scrambler. The eggs were old and dry, there was very little seafood in it. Portion sizes were small so nothing to take home, though it would not have been worth it anyways. On a positive note, the (new) manager made his rounds to check on guest satisfaction. We expressed our disappointment so he comped the food and only charged us for the drinks. Three stars vs two because of the managers gesture.
Our table was a miss for WildFin on Mother's Day. The blueberry scones were amazing and the Bloody Mary bar was thoroughly enjoyed by a couple of people at our table. But the entrees didn't go well. If the plates had come out of the oven and off the grill about 3-5 minutes earlier, all would have been fine. Unfortunately, everything was overdone. Was a little surprised my picky mom even touched her eggs. Both hers and my fathers looked dried out from across the table. My mom, however, just complained that there wasn't enough seafood in the seafood scramble. My frittata was way overdone and my husband stated that his fried chicken was the worst he's ever tasted in his life. Kudos to our waiter that realized things didn't go well based on what was left on the plates and quickly comp'd two of the meals. While our food has been decent in the past, with four strikes in one meal, it is going to be difficult to get my husband to return.
Mixed review here. This was my fourth visit. Four of us dined on Saturday evening. Even though we had a reservation there was a short wait. The restaurant is very loud. Our server was terrific, recommending a terrific wine and giving us just the right amount of attention. The food was average, very chain restaurant like. We tried the appetizer tower and each of us had an entree. The food was heavily salted, and far from memorable. I rated 4 stars vs 3 for the terrific service and great location.
Great food , always amazing. Held up friendly wait staff. We had a reservation and had to wait 20 minutes when we were starving. We think they forgot about us, so that was annoying. Otherwise great.
It was surprising that no salad or rolls, etc. we’re offered as your prices are right up there. Very noisy but a relatively fun experience.
Food was fantastic. Server was no good at all. Said they called her in last minute and complained the whole time. We had to ask to order appetizers, we had to ask to order dinner, then when we asked for more lemonade she tried to talk us out of it.
Excellent food. The outdoor patio table looked out over the Columbia River. Definitely a place that is on our list for another visit.
We sat outside on a beautiful day, the ambiance was great. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. The food was OK but not great. I would try it again just to see if things improve.
Beautiful atmosphere! Sat at the bar outside, the bartenders and servers were 5 star, all very nice and quick. But likely to no fault of theirs, dinner took super long, which they acknowledged and gave us dessert on the house. I ordered diver scallops and they were not worth $32; they were all cooked differently so maybe one out of the five was really tasty and I felt I could make a better scallop at home. And the cauliflower purée that came with them was bland. Brie appetizer was delicious though! Would go back and try another entree. I’d been here for brunch once before and it was amazing.
Loved it. We will be back. Great food, good service, nice atmosphere.
My wife and I had lunch here just after it opened and, although it wasn't great and since it had just opened, we thought we'd try it again in a few months. We arranged to meet a couple of friends at the Wild Fin for a joint birthday celebration. Kind of a mistake. We started with the Seafood Tower. Very disappointing and expensive. $26 or so for a few shrimp, some tough breaded and fried calamari and a relatively unspecial seafood crotini. My wife had the scallops. She complained about the foreign objects in the scallops as well as that they were tough. I tried them and suggested she send them back. She didn't want to bother. I tried the trout and although edible, it was very much not special. Maybe it just wasn't fresh. Our friends were equally unimpressed with their dishes. Worst of all and although I indicated on the reservation that this was a joint birthday celebration we weren't even offered one free dessert. We ordered two and paid for both. This despite our total bill coming up to over $300. A complete disappointment. I've given them three stars because the view is nice and the service was slightly above okay.
The no lettuce ahi salad was a perfect blend of flavors and textures. It was a beautiful but windy day on the river; this is a perfect spot to watch the action. The only negative was an excessive amount of frosting on the chocolate fudge cake. Almost a 2 to 1 frosting to cake ratio. All 3 in our party had a great experience and have recommended it to others.
The ambiance of the restaurant is terrific, very modern, very nice. Unfortunately the service did not live up to the promise of the decor. Every course of the meal was very slow in arriving at the table. With the exception of a steak being under-cooked, the food was good, but not exceptional. As far as value goes, everything seemed over-priced for what it was. Two on-the-rocks cocktails were ordered before dinner and taking in to account the amount of liquor in each, the price seemed high.
we had brunch there on a Sunday at 11am, it was not very busy but loaded up by noon. The deviled eggs and scones are free and really good even before you order your meal. Great service too.
Nice restaurant. Too bad the chefs overcooked perfectly good ingredients like rib eye steak and fresh halibut. What a waste.
The cocktails were not well made - lots of ice, not much flavor. The food presentation was unappetizing and the flavor was lacking. The halibut special was over-priced. The service was excellent. Our waiter was the best part of the experience.
Excellent food and service.
Been here 2 times, both were excellent.
Really good food at a great setting on the waterfront.
The food was overpriced and focused way to much on artful presentation. It was overloaded with the cheapest ingredient and not balanced. The server too was focused on pushing the high profit drinks vs. knowing the food menu. The area was under construction and only expensive parking available. My bet the government is the landlord and the rent is outrageous. So expenses start high forcing high profit demand on products to attempt to make ends meet. They won't be getting my money again to fuel this game.
Too noisy but food was delicious
So disappointed. We’d waited forever to vita down went for our anniversary. The service was horrible. We had a reservation on a Monday and we still waited for our table. Our waitress was weird and kept saying “as you wish”. She didn’t even ask how we were or how the food was. Beautiful place, it’s a shame.
