WildFin American Grill - Beaverton
We had a wonderful meal for my birthday, at the Vancouver venue.
We have been raving to anyone who would listen.
We were so excited for the meal Saturday, we brought another couple with us.
We were very disappointed with all of it. My husband had fish and chips (the same meal my mom had in Vancouver) Dan's was nothing like Vancouver. My mom was lightly breaded, with a wonderful coleslaw. My husband's had a thick breading and only red cabbage for the coleslaw. The fish was way over cooked. We have to get back to our friends before they eat there.
We have all worked in the business, not good when restaurants are that different. Food and service should be consistent!!!!
So disappointed. Barbara Garbarino
It was fantastic ... great service! We will be back.
This was our first time at WildFin. We enjoyed eating outside! The food was fantastic! Very good steak! I have been looking for a top place for steak locally, I found it! Thank you!
The food was fantastic and the portions made it a great value as well
Very good food, excellent menu, a little noisy. Fairly priced with good portions.
We enjoy this place a lot. Like that the atmosphere is lively and that a great place for all ages. So few good restaurants in Beaverton and NW Washington county
Open with crumbs on my uncomfortable chair. Slow service with inadequate communication follows. As the warehouse-like space fills up, the noise level makes shouting necessary. You pay extra for bread, which turns out to be a small loaf -- more than either of us wanted, or could finish. It seemed to be potato bread (?) with scoops of chive butter (makes sense) and fig butter (makes no sense). Mixed seafood grill entree was pretty to look at, but preparation and flavors were not up to the price: adequate scallops on bland avocado basil lime verde; indifferent prawns on slightly blackened but essentially raw carrots; dry, flavorless overdone coho salmon I couldn't finish even after I found a server to ask for lemon wedges. This was our second disappointing experience, after a visit during opening week. I felt bad about wasting food and money. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. My husband seemed happier with his food: he ordered his salmon rare, and it came medium rare.
Food was amazing! Drinks were okay. Server was okay
Food was just OK in my humble opinion. We ordered the appetizer tower which had 3 items: garlic shrimp (average), a salmon spread (average) and fried calamari (excellent). My wife ordered 3 tacos (shrimp, salmon and beef) of which she only liked the shrimp. I order a sear tuna salad which again was on the blend side and perhaps needed more attention to the seasoning. Service was below par in my opinion --our waiter was very hard to find through out our dinner and at the end we even had to as one of the bus person for our check. I really had high expectations given the good ratings in yelp and google but unfortunately left a bit disappointed.
Other than it being a little awkward to remove the tails from the shrimp in the shrimp and grits, dinner was delicious! The seafood chowder was simply luscious, and the desserts were to die for. We will definitely be coming back!
A return visit for my husband and myself. We each ordered something different than first visit. All four meals were delicious. The strawberry quinoa salad and street taco and Parmesan crusted sole were as tasty as the ribeye steak and fresh trout were at our first experience. Destiny served us both times (at our request). Very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Friendly atmosphere for families, dates and special occasions. Nice to have this restaurant in our Cedar Hills neighborhood.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends! Our waiter, Julian was wonderful! My husband and I are vegan, I'm gluten free, they accommodated us perfectly! We had salads and street taco's with garbanzo beans. We are also not drinking alcohol at this time and they had Kombucha and N/A Kaliber beer. Food was delicious, a great time had by all!
Outstanding food. George our server had great energy. This is the place Beaverton/Hillsboro was needing. The wine bottle pricing is very reasonable for this level of culinary experience
The AC was too high
We ordered 3 plates of Street tacos and they were all cold when the server served them.
Great casual place to have a wonderful dinner for any occasion. The food, service and atmosphere were all relaxing and just an overall fun time. Highly recommend as my favorite restaurant in the Portland area.
Won’t be back. They were slow. It took close to one hour to get our salad. The food was ok to bad. The shrimp and scallops in my dish were very undercooked. Sent it back. Took them forever to redo and ended up leaving without ever receiving it
The primo moment for me was biting into the marvelous peach pie❣️
The water glasses on the table were dirty...the waitress seemed to be somewhat impatient with us taking our time to order - as this was our first time we needed a few minutes to look over the menu...I will think about returning...
Food was excellent, portions are small though.
Service was bad. Didn't take our drink order. Talked too fast to understand. Didn't check on us. In a big hurry. Hit me on the head accidently with the bill folder because he was in such a rush. Too much Red Bull
It’s fine and the taste isn’t bad, but there was something lacking in our experience, anlctudl fresh food being cooked... seemed more like a boil bag experience
Great food - I had the ribeye sandwich, husband had the mac and cheese, kiddo had the burger. Everyone was incredibly full and happy!
Food was great and the only complaint was that our server flubbed our drink orders twice.
Table service was slow and waitress came back several times to ask us to repeat items ordered. Also, person delivering drinks could not identify our table # twice. Waitress took a very long time to close our tab out.
We were shown to our table immediately and waited a while to get the menu. As soon as we got the menu we ordered drinks and bread. It took quite a while to get the drinks and even longer to get the bread. We had to remind them. We ordered our dinner when we got the bread.
Again it took a while to get our salads. Well not even 1/3 of the way through our salads, our dinner was delivered. Bad timing.
I ordered a glass of wine to go with dinner. I was more than halfway done with my dinner when I finally got my wine.
Food was really good, but the service Seriously detracted from our dinner.
We were charged full price for the salad although it said on the menu it was discounted with an entrée.
We will be back and hope that the service is better next time.
Great except noise and seated next to column
Loved it, food was delicious and Ollie was wonderful, answered all our questions regarding menu and gave us great recommendations. Plan to be back very soon, don't change you got a good thing happening. Thank you for a while lovely time. Joyce
Very good food, nice wait staff. A bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Fantastic marionberry pie desert.
Overall we had a very good experience. Couple of kinks to work out for the restaurant. Our server was outstanding and did an excellent job of explaining the menu and the restaurant philosophy. Our salad arrived 2 minutes before our entrée, should have had time to enjoy before our entrée arrived. The dover sole was fantastic, the salmon was slightly overcooked (ordered medium rare) and a little dry. Chocolate cake was marvelous. Expect these are standard new restaurant kinks to be worked out, definitely plan to go again.
I brought my wife here for a special anniversary dinner as I tried it out a few weeks ago with a friend and was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful food. Needless to say, this visit was equally as excellent and we both left very impressed.
I want to admit that we tried quite a few items on the menu and everything was wonderful. There was not one item “off”.
We’ll be back!
This was our second visit in a couple of weeks. I think it will become a favorite.
All the dishes were delicious and well seasoned. The server was friendly and helpful with details about the menu items. Drinks were also good. I would have appreciated refills of our water glasses.
Very noisy and not an inviting ambiance. The food was just fair and not worth the price.
Great tasting food had the seafood fettucini. House salad was very filling and tasty. Disappounted that nothing came with entree. Bread or vegtable.
Good food and nice place except when you were asked with 5 different choices of fish they will change $21 more. We didn't know that would be the case so we said halibut! From $29 became $50 just for picking one of the choices the waitress gave us! So be aware about that. I believe it is the mixed seafood dish! Other than that it was a great experience for us. Will go back there again just have to not pick their options from the waitress.
Not impressed. Overpriced for “meh” food. Darn. We need more good restaurants in Beaverton and I was hoping for better.
The food is to die for, great ambiance, great service, we will be back for sure!
Wonderful meal with our friends from New Zealand! King salmon, scallops and fresh Dover sole from Oregon! Loved the salmon starter and rosemary bread with delectable fig butter! Nice service, nice atmosphere inside, but why oh why is this great restaurant in a strip mall with medical offices above and even though we like Mod Pizza I don’t want to look at it across the parking lot along with the Christian bookstore that is closing! I can’t believe I’m going to say the “Couv”’got it right with their location, lucky them! We would come back but it won’t be for the view!
Attentive wait staff and delicious food. We will return.
Everything was just "good", nothing really was outstanding. One person at our table is allergic to red onion and had to ask if anything had red onion in it that was not stated on the menu. The server had to go back to ask the Chef numerous times about certain items. After being assured that something did not have red onion in it after going through four other items the dish arrived and it had red onions in it! All other food was just ok, not bad but nothing that you could not get anywhere else.
I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to having a nicer place in Beaverton other than Decarli’s (which we love). $250 bill for 3 people and it was terrible, amateur service. The food was WAY over seasoned to the point that none of us finished our meals, we were chugging water and 2/3 people got sick afterwards. We don’t even spend that much at excellent restaurants downtown that have incredible service. They are out of their minds. Just because you are in Beaverton, doesn’t mean you can’t hire excellent servers.
