Like other reviewers, we showed up and the restaurant said they don’t do reservations for event nights. We tried to call in advance to confirm reservations but the phone was never answered. On top of that, they weren’t serving off the menu. There was a free buffet, which was good but not expected and not everyone found something they liked. This was a one star visit if not for our server. Wish I caught her name. She went out of her way to find us places to sit and was super nice and gracious. Unfortunately her excellence was overshadowed by management errors.

Waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged upon entering the restaurant. Spoke to multiple servers who said they’d track down the manager regarding my reservation of 8 guests. The restaurant was completely full and they did not have a table available and my reservation was not honored. We were required to sit in the adjacent coffee shop and the manager ran us our food over. We knew the town would be busy as it was homecoming weekend at Iowa so tried to be proactive but the walk in guests clearly took precedent.

I made a reservation but when my party arrived they said they don't really take reservations and that the restaurant was full. They ended up seating us in the coffee shop next door to the restaurant. It was a very frustrating experience as we were there to celebrate a birthday and we didn't get to actually sit in the restaurant. When we went to order they only had a very few items on the menu available. You could order pork or a burger, that was it. I would not recommend this restaurant based on this alone. The staff was nice and accommodating, but due to the issues with the menu and not honoring our reservation it was a poor experience.

We showed up just prior to our reservation time and was told they do not take reservations nor do they honor Open Table. I showed the email and text confirmation but they claimed they weren’t aware. We will NOT be back. I will double check with restaurants from now on when we book through Open Table. Very disappointing.

Nice place. Service was slow and seemed understaffed, but once our server showed up, he was lovely and responsive. There happened to be a band outside in the open area and it was fun to eat a nice meal and listen to great music.

The food was excellent. We had the pork bowl, tenderloin & burger. All three were outstanding. The only issue service was very slow. But we enjoyed the restaurant & dinner!

The manager was excellent and helped us out as her first customers of the day. The drinks and food were delicious, and the open "garage door" was a great way to start the day. I'll definitely go back :-)

We had a great time eating at Wilder. Get the Iowa Gold burger and the wedge salad! Cocktails are on point, and the outdoor area is perfect for relaxing with friends.
