The “Wild” in our name is a nod to the wild yeast we use to prepare our slow-rising sourdough, which serves as the foundation for every pizza we make. Born from a “mother dough” formulated by our executive Chef Tin Vuong, and nurtured by him daily, our sourdough takes days to prepare; and we do it this way for a reason--it simply tastes better. When ready, the sourdough is hand-shaped by our pizzaiolos, topped fresh with local and responsibly-sourced ingredients and then blast-cooked in our wood-burning oven that was built brick-by-brick in Naples, Italy by Stefano Ferrara, a third-generation Neapolitan oven-builder.
We were seated right away. I he food and se vice are excellent. I’ve been there several times and will return.
We've been to Wildcraft a few times already. The pizzas are solid and the pastas are usually cooked well. The squid ink tag was tasty but heavy handed with salt. Shrimp was a tad over but not a big deal, and the dried tomatoes were great in the dish. The green garlic didn't come through in the ricotta cavatelli. The cavatelli themselves were good, but the sauce didn't add much and the dish, overall, was uninspiring. The OG pizza was fine. The fior di latte mozz was undetectable in the pizza and it seemed like a basic cheese/margherita pie. Surprisingly, the grilled octopus came out last and was probably overlooked on the ticket. It was tender as hell and delicious, but the butter beans were undercooked and kinda bland. Pricey for the food, but the server/host was great.
Great food, great ambiance! Loved it
Just okay for Brunch -- French toast was good but a little small in proportion. Italian fried chicken was over-fried, a little too brown. Mimosas were good but the homemade sangria was too filled with fruit sediment. Every sip clogged the straw and gave a mouthful of pulp
Great food and amazing atmosphere. We went for brunch and the food was so yummy :). The bottomless mimosas were definitely worth it and our waitress was super nice. In a great location too
I live in Culver and this is my favorite neighborhood gem. The wood fired pizzas are so legit and the bottomless mimosas for lunch are great!
Service was amazing. Food came out at the perfect time. Wine selection and cocktail options are delightful
We walked out. Staff was so rude, they were out of everything, and my sister found dirt in her martini glass. Go to Akasha instead.
Everyone who worked there was nice, accommodating & attentive. Food was excellent.
Was really disappointed in the cocktails. I asked the server twice for a non-sweet cocktail and both times got the exact opposite. Not a great place for allergies either.
Food was too salty and service was unprofessional
I made my reservation through the OpenTable app & did not specify whether we wanted indoor or patio seating, since we were not asked. The host called me 1 hr before our reservation to confirm & asked if it was okay if we were seated inside instead of on the patio, as we requested. I told her we had no requested patio seating & thus were fine with sitting inside since it was raining. When we arrived, the same host seated us on the patio, stating that there was no inside seating. We sat on the heated patio, which was comfortable, but the back-and-forth was so confusing!
Good food — less than ideal seating right under a heat lamp.
Excellent food. Server a bit disinterested and going through the motions. Slow night so noise level was fine. Would definitely go back. Brussels spout side dish, salad and pizzas all excellent.
Wow! What a total surprise. We walked past several "hot" restaurants (meaning still full) at 9:15pm to find WildCraft pretty much empty. We proceeded in and had an incredible meal. The brisket meatballs were amazing (could have been hotter temperature-wise, but delish nonetheless), the truffle mushroom pizza was great - we're crust snobs and this was good - and the Italian fried chicken was a total, and welcome surprise. Highly recommend.
Table and utensils were dirty. May not go back.
Great place to have brunch and people watch. Service was the highlight!
Food was really good. Just a bit overpriced for me personally. The waitor didn't tell us his name and responded with "I don't know I haven't tried it" when a nearby guest asked about something. Wasn't terrible but overall wasn't impressed
Thank you for making our birthday lunch a fantastic one!
Food was really good. Halibut cooked perfectly. Happy hour is awesome and they were super accommodating for my 3 young children!
Excellent list of beers, fantastic food program with strong emphasis on pizzas ... this time, wonderful tagliatelle with bolognese sauce.
Food excellent but pricey. Service was attentive but waiter did forget the drinks two in our party had ordered. Was able To accommodate our large party on patio. Unfortunately was seated next to partly drunk (obnoxiously loud) large party who couldn’t handle their alcohol, taking in bottomless mimosas. Could barely hear our party’s conversation.
After arriving on time with a reservation for two, they said it would be 45 minutes. Apparently they were over booked. Luckily I was ok with eating at the bar. Drinks were great so we moved on to an appetizer and two entrees. Appetizer took 15 min and then showed up WITH the entrees. Not cool. We sent them back and then I believe they served them to us later. I thought it might be dried out but the fish was great.
Afternoon server staff doesn’t really know what it’s doing,
Food was good, great flavors; very minimal brunch menu.
The pasta wasn't as creamy as I expected it to be. The pizza was okay, not great though. Loved both the desserts that I ordered.
Kitchen was slow to get the food out but we overall had a good dining experience and was taken care of by our server Chance.
Poor quality waiters made the difference to us. A restaurant like this should be more careful at hiring and invest on Training their staff.
Loved it. Great happy hour beers. The pizza is fantastic. We got the Burrata pizza which rocked! My friend got the fried chicken and he raved about it. Very casual but really good service. Surprised that the noise level was reasonable and you could have a convo.
Their service and pizzas are what made this place stand out. They were able to accommodate our large group and let us remain in our seats for a quite a while. They were generous with endless mimosas.
The outdoor patio with heaters was comfortable even on a cold night. The happy hour menu is a good deal and we love the crust on the pizzas.
Wait person very friendly
Service very slow
One of the entrees never was served so we cancelled it
The pasta Bolognese had no flavor
The service person told the Mgr who offered to take our 2 iced teas off the bill
The garlic knots had no garlic, no flavor, weren’t fully cooked and served with cold sauce
The spicy sausage pizza and black cod were fabulous.
I thought our waitress was great! The food wasn’t as good as it has been in the past. Also, it’s expensive
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The menu looked promising, brunch and pizza. Had no idea the pizza was going to be that good!!! wild mushroom pizza. Outstanding!
The offerings for DineLA sounded amazing so we chose this for one of our stops this time around. Unfortunately almost everything missed the the mark. The polenta fritters were very good but the sauce was excessively sweet. My wedge salad was great but my husband’s salt cod bruschetta was bland. My duck was under seasoned and dry. My husband’s spaghetti was okay but a little on the spicy side for him and too al denote for me. Dessert was excellent and the complementary glasses of wine were good (not always the case for a free glass of wine). Overall a somewhat disappointing meal for somewhere we’ve only ever had great meals from before. I’m chalking this one up to a bad night and hoping the time time we go they will back up to their usual standards.
Wonderful pizza. Sitting outdoors in January was lovely. It was quiet at lunch which made for easy conversation. All in all, a very good experience at a comfortable, cozy yet chic place. Definitely recommend it.
Loved it! Went for date night and it was a fantastic start to the evening. Food was great, service was wonderful. Cant wait to go back!
Good cozy neighborhood restaurant with delicious tasty fresh food. Interesting selections and flavors. Pleasant informal environment, good service, reasonable prices.
Pleasantly surprised. All 4 of us ordered different meals and the consensus was the chef batted .1000. We will be back.
Went for DineLA menu. Food was fine, somewhat duplicative items. Pizza was a highlight - sourdough crust was amazingly delicious.
Big negative was the service. “Freshly made” Iced tea was from the Bar fountain (not a problem except for the insistence that it was freshly made, then when asked after tasting it, said it was made “yesterday”). Tried to get a dollar’s worth of quarters for meter, waiter told us “we have no quarters here”. No problem if that is their policy, but say that and not that quarters aren’t allowed in that restaurant. No need to be dishonest, leaves guests felling yucky.
Pizza was a keeper but one and only visit for us.
