Friend visiting from out of town. Perfect place to take her!
We were seated in the speak easy, which was a first for us. Very small and intimate. Most seats are stools. We need backs to our chairs and they were able to sit us at the small bar. We shared the Gnocchi Mac & Cheese and the Greengoddess salad to start. The Gnocchi was a very fun spin on the classic. Gnocchi was spot on. The crisped onions on top were a little too salty, but if you avoided them, the dish was wonderful. Salad was nice, but not special.
For entre, we shared the Chicken Hash, which was like a Chicken crab cake. Again, it will a little more salty than we would prefer, but it was delicious and an interesting take on chicken.
We finished with the beignets. They were served at room temp, which was different from the normal 1 million degrees we typically get beignets served at. Room temp was nice to be able to handle and eat right away. They were deliciously crisp and paired well with the chocolate and whipped cream.
Lastly, I will comment on the Ginger Heat cocktail. It was fantastic. If you like whiskey based cocktails, this one is perfect. The ginger was subtle, the heat, was subtle, and the whiskey was subtle. One of the best and most creative cocktails I have had.
This a very nice local restaurant with a great menu. The chef and the wait staff do a wonderful job. The atmosphere is always friendly and fun. Very welcoming.
Wildwood never disappoints! Wonderfully cozy atmosphere with great music at the perfect volume. This time we ordered the Burrata salad, ham croquettes, mussels and clams w/frites and beignets for dessert. All was absolutely delicious!! Also worth mentioning a great wine list. We’re so lucky to have this neighborhood gem but I would also drive across town to dine here.
first - the food is great. I like that the menu changes weekly even though it means I miss some of my favorites. The ambiance is casual, The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I love going there ......
The upstairs is fantastic. I always enjoy the ambience. The new basement speakeasy is where we were sat. Cold. Dark. Felt forgot about. Didnt love straddling a barrel for my table.
Very intimate, neighborhood venue with limited seating. The Ginger Heat and lamb meatloaf were both phenomenal. Highly recommend.
The food and atmosphere was excellent.
Food was excellent; had the roasted salmon and the bignets desert.
The only drawback is the wooden bench becomes very hard to sit for any length of time. Cushions would be appreciated as the chairs have cushions.
Awesome place! Food is always Interesting and excellent.
Exquisite! Best food! So unique!
We love this place. The food is incredible. The staff are amazing. Come. Here.
It was the perfect environment for our New Years Eve dinner. The ambiance was cozy and the food was amazing!
We were really pleased with everything from the moment we walked Through the door up until we left.
The service from the staff was exceptional, the food was beyond what we expected and it was all in all a pleasant surprise. we definitely will eat there again and will most certainly refer friends and family.
New Year’s Eve!
Lovely, as usual.
Great meals. Our waitress was very attentive.
Come hungr-, rich, and well-seasoned comfort food found here. The fries laden with mussle broth is to die for. We do wish there were more options for vegetarians here. ;)
Very friendly server!
Excellent food and perfect service. I loved being welcomed by almost every staff member including the chef/owner I believe.
Love the flavors, the proportions and help from staff that it is good to share plates.
Just a perfect evening in a nice quit neighborhood in the avenues. It could not have gone any better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wonderful neighborhood gem ….
This place was great food was great and fresh, interesting but reconcilable. Small intimate atmosphere and great drink menu
Our 10th time there. Always solid. Great all around spot. Our fav go to in SLC.
They were awesome! We’ve been a few times. This time we were running late for our reservation and had to be to a show soon after and they let us order over the phone so our food was pretty much ready when we got there and we had plenty of time. Great service and appreciated that they would do that for us. The food was great as usual. A favorite place of mine!
Fun girls night out!
We love this place! We had a nice dinner with friends. The mac and cheese and the brussel sprouts are both delicious. The hamburger is enormous and well made - with amazing french fries. I ordered the fried chicken thighs - it was prepared beautifully, however it does come with golden raisins and a sweet sauce which isn't my favorite. The mashed potatoes and garnish are divine.
The restaurant is very small, so I recommend it for a group of 4 or smaller. It feels like I'm in NYC or Boston. The chef uses the best ingredients. Enjoy!
First time dining and can't wait to go back! Everything on the menu looked amazing and the plates coming out the kitchen were spectacular. Started off with wings and mac cheese. Probably the best wings we've ever had! My wife got the fried chicken and being from South Louisiana we can attest that this was some DAMN good fried chicken! The burger was one of the best I've had in SLC so far...it was HUGE!
Don't skip dessert! Peanut Butter cheesecake was divine!
Darling, cozy ambiance. Delicious food. I highly recommend it!
If you are a party of two your table is extremely close to your neighbors making it very awkward. There were four other open tables with more space and no other reservations but they refused to seat us at them… and were rude about it.
We had a bug in our drink that was still moving. We Left immediately without making it to food.
Thé mussels and frites were fabulous! And the chicken hash was truly amazing. Everything we had was first rate! We will be back.
Our meal was so wonderful! We will definitely return because I want to try everything on the menu
We have enjoyed Wildwood ever since we moved here to Salt Lake City. While the menu isn’t huge, everything they make is interesting, tasty and in generous portions. Chef/Owner Michael Richey has s great, always so welcoming, and of course
Wine Coordinator Nathan (Nacho) Kearsley is always a pleasure to see.
Love this restaurant. The food and ambiance are wonderful and it’s lovely to be able to walk to dinner
Our server (I believe the receipt said his name was Nacho?) was so incredibly sweet, warming and welcoming to my boyfriend and I. Definitely went above and beyond for us and we’re so appreciative! What an excellent spot for people visiting SLC
Payraise for Nathan, please!!!!
This fine wait person/professional even knows how to help a misbehaved wheelchair.
Jan and Louis
Terrific restaurant with a great atmosphere, excellent food and friendly service.
Pricy, but well worth it. Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful service. Excellent food. A must if you are in the SLC area.
