The initial greeting by our server was non-existent. In fact we thought she was just going around filling waters b/c she didn’t introduce herself. Then we waited 45-55min for our (3) salads, and when they finally arrived the steak (steak salad) was cold and well over cooked.
Desert was fun and tasty, but we won’t be back. Not worth it.
Beautiful Oceanfront setting with an eclectic menu and attentive service. Wide selection of small plates and shareables as well as large plates. We both ordered fish and it was fresh and well prepared. Shareable octopus was outstanding. Finally found a new place to eat on the beach
Worst brunch ever. First impression walking in was that there were very few choices of food items for a Sunday oceanfront brunch. We arrived at noon and I asked the hostess if we were too late and if they had already started closing down, she said no. One choice of salad consisting of a bowl of wilted greens with very standard toppings of shredded carrots, dry cucumber, tomato and mushroom with ranch dressing. There was a carving turkey that my husband had that was very burnt on the outside but it was raw and still bloody on the inside. There were mussels that were overcooked and dry and very bland. I ordered eggs Benedict from the sample menu and I asked for smoked salmon instead of sausage because I don’t eat meat and there were no seafood choices than the dry mussels. They were able to accommodate that request. It had an “our version of hollandaise sauce“ that looked and tasted nothing like a hollandaise sauce, and had no taste at all. They had chicken and waffles, pancakes, and French toast but I could’ve gone to IHOP for that. The salt and pepper shakers on our table were dirty with old food grime on them and rusty. However, the view was spectacular and the staff were very friendly.
Not as good as our previous visit. Conch fritters were too well done and hard to find the conch. The eggplant stack was burnt so the tase of eggplant was diminished by the over cooking. Maybe a bad night. We will try once more because we really enjoyed our first visit.
Wonderful atmosphere and food
Ambience is only thing the restaurant can offer! Food was burnt and not that great
We live in the area but have not been to the Atlantic Hotel since the new restaurant opened. We finally decided to try Wild Thyme.
It did not disappoint. They offered the Ft Lauderdale Summer dinner menu but we opted for Small Plate Dining so we could taste a few of the creative selections. We had mashed cauliflower with shrimp, the eggplant stack, and conch fritters. Each dish was YUMMY!
Our service was great! Jake, our waiter, was attentive and efficient. The manager approached our table as well as the hostess to ensure that we were pleased. The personal attention was very nice. It appeared that they really want to see you return.
The view of the ocean is beautiful from the window or patio seating. We can't wait to return.
Our server was excellent. She was pleasant and very accommodating. However, the food was barely satisfactory. Everything was cold and really nothing was very tasty. Wasn’t bad but definitely not very good n not much variety. We wouldn’t go back again.
Very slow to get waited on. Once waiter came was very friendly and checked back several times , but could have been more. Food very good. Maybe a little more training of staff, as this is slow time of year, and not that busy. I think it would be good idea to appeal to your locals, since we are here year round!
It was a wonderful dinner for 9 people to celebrate a big birthday. Except for having to confirm the reservation 3 times it all went well. The menu was varied with something for every appetite! The complimentary dessert plate for the birthday girl was really spectacular!
Service was excellent. Would definitely go again!
The property is on a beautiful setting across from the beach it was a perfect evening for an outside meal.
The restaurant month menu was good the food was good the surface anymore in a lot of these places leaves a lot to be desired.
Although the gentleman who waited on us was very cheerful and very nice at no time did he asked us if we wanted a drink.
And with the last bite of the desert he asked if we wanted coffee. He rarely came back and we had to ask for a refill of water.
This wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me I definitely go back and recommend it I do recommend that if a staff member is reading the review they need to take the time to train their staff with a little bit of training it would have been a different experience
Excellent service, excellent food, wide array of food choices, our Server Scott was AMAZING. I will be returning.
good food and service Sat outside fans were not working if not for this would grade them higher
it was a hot night with no ocean breeze
The food was very good. We went for the GFL crave menu, that the regular prices are a bit overpriced for the quality of food. Still very tasty but wouldn’t pay the regular price. Nice atmosphere and excellent service
AWESOME! The food was sooo delicious, the outside seating was perfect, not too hot and the view was gorgeous. The best part was our waiter, Chris, who was so polite attentive, and had wonderful recommendations.
The food and service was great both times we went there.
Great food experience, Our waiter James was excellent! Music playlist was a bonus, provided by the DJ! Cool atmosphere and view of the ocean!
We had a great time. Lisa was our server and she was on top of everything. The food was great and the rustic feel of the place provided a great energy. My only negative was when we went to the bar after our brunch for a last drink and they allowed a guy to drink at the bar who wasn't wearing a shirt. At the urging of my wife I did not say anything, but the hotel and restaurant are first rate and I would have thought a manager would have asked him to put on a shirt. Other that that, I highly reccomend the restaurant and also Lisa, top notch service!
Great experience. Dined outside, enjoying the view of the ocean. Attentive service. Beautiful presentations. Grateful for the delicious vegan options.
Great views of the ocean. Fun refreshing cocktail menu. Limited wine list. Weekend brunch is a bargain. Drunk muscles, turkey carving station 👍...fun small plates like chicken & waffles and chefs tacos. Decadent desserts to end the meal with
The staff was very accommodating and the food was great! Happy with everything!
Beautiful location! The food was very good! We really loved the Korean Tacos. Those were outstanding!
A lovely restaurant with a view of the ocean.
The menu is eclectic. Everything we ordered was excellent. Our server, Jake was very informative. I would go again...and get the bacon appetizer again!
i took a friend to try the restaurant months prix fixe menu options. for $35 each, we ate the candied bacon, the mint hummus, the crispy fish basket, the roasted whole cauliflower, and the signature shake dessert for 2. i liked it just fine but my friend, a former chef, was less impressed. i could take my mother to try more of the menu later.
Oceanside restaurant in FLL, great location, service is a bit lacking and felt rushed. Please turn on the fans!!
First time their service food atmosphere wonderful can't wait to go back again and it will be soon.😊
Pretty awful experience overall. Our waiter was rarely to be found. We literally didn’t see him for 45 minutes. No incentive for him to do well as the 18% gratuity was included.
I ordered the paella which was essentially a salt shaker with seafood and rice. The short ribs were good. And the philly lobster and steak was the only saving grace.
We’ve been to this location through the three iterations of this restaurant. This is the worst iteration. Sucks that we are local and this is what we get, but worse for our out of town guests. We won’t be back.
The food was below average. Filet mignon comes covered in gravy- there’s no confidence in the steak! The server was amazing, the patio seating along the street was nice. All the orders on our table were dry and not tasty. Food price too high for below average food. Would not return here!
Great food and service, the octopus and mussels were great appetizers!
Wonderful views and atmosphere. Food was delicious and well worth the money. Very generous size breakfast.
Awesome service! Our waiter Moe was very attentive and friendly. And since it was my husband’s birthday, they gave us a complimentary homemade chocolate cake which tasted awesome!
We started with the eggplant stack our friends had the oysters, both were good starters, The salmon had good taste maybe slightly over done. The squash bolognese was good, nice thick sauce. Our friends had the seafood cone the presentation was really neat came out in a long cone shaped wrap. The taste was excellent and we finished with the chocolate cake nice large piece easy to shere. We will definitely return a nice experience all around.
Food not great. Conch fritters were doughy. Skirt steak salad was decent but steak was tough.
A true gem I discovered last summer with my family and returned with my company to rave reviews by all members of the company. Tried again with my Brother and wife and outstanding in every way.
My mom and I were looking for a place close to our hotel and it was Fourth of July weekend. Wild thyme was across the street and looked good. We gave it a shot as we were able to get a reservation on short notice. Everyone was so nice. Ambience good. The selection on the menu was varied. I had the lamb ribs and my mom had the crab cakes and we split a salad. All was delish. The lamb fell off the bone and was a good size small plate. The salad was very yummy and the dressing was homemade. The service could have been better. Maybe they were short staffed because it wasn’t crazy busy but had a good flow. The server would disappear for long periods of time. We ordered drinks and then sometime later someone else brought them. We wanted dessert and by the time the menu was dropped off and the time the server came back to check, we didn’t want dessert any long we. Be advised 18% gratuity was added to the bill. I usually add 20% so they short changed themselves by doing this automatically. Although maybe the server made out better because of the service decline during the meal. I would go back to eat. Maybe sit at the bar.
Great service and great food!
Second time at Wild Thyme in the last month. Still many things on the menu to try. Yesterday, I had the Florribbean tuna salad. It was ridiculously good. My colleagues enjoyed the chicken waffle sandwich, the steak salad (worth it just for the presentation), and the vegetable bowl. Very little was left on plates. Go check this place out. You’ll enjoy it too.
For the price, the brunch buffet did not deliver. It was all stations and.not much prepared dishes to choose from
Sat outside and there were not enough servers for the amount of patrons. Very hard to get wait staff attention for refills and for small plates. Since it was Father’s Day brunch the restaurant should have been staffed appropriately.
Father Day brunch was great
