One of our favorite places. It's great that they have so many gluten-free options and will happily accommodate other dietary needs as well. Jay's (lamb) Balls and Bombay Gumbo are to die for! Brought a friend there for lunch last week. She loved the Scallops appetizer and the Persian Fried Chicken Sandwich, of course had a taste of everything we ordered, and plans to return. My daughter adores the Shrimp Tempura. The Autumn and Winter salads can't be missed, so refreshing with a combination of wonderful flavors. Save room for dessert. We shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta, which is so light and delicious, you can enjoy it even if you are stuffed. Great service, funny waiter, we all had a good time. We live in Long Beach, so don't get there as often as we'd like, but any time we are in the area or can figure out a reason to go east, Wild Side is our first choice for lunch or dinner!

Great concept but did not deliver on taste. The food was blah at best, they were out of many items on the menu, and everything was overpriced. The service was good though, and the place was decent.

Had brunch here and we were the only people in the restaurant for at least one hour. It was off the beaten path, drinks were good, service was good but for the amount we paid, I would expect a lot more in comparison to other brunches I’ve had for the same price being that this was very pricey for brunch ($32). I didn’t think it lived up to the hype and certainly not to my expectations.

Great food, great service. Creative menu. Be prepared to eat on a paper plates and use plastic cutlery- but detracted not at all from the experience.

We came here at the recommendation of a customer that had a good favorable impression from your Hicksville location. They and we were disappointed. The paper plates and plastic forks need to GO! The Beef Burger was good. But, the over all experience lacked. The menu was very limited, especially if you are not Vegan and maybe that is the issue, in that this should be solely marketed for Vegetarian dinning.

Went there with my husband last Friday evening because we love their wood fire pizza. They had live music and we had an amazing date. Rachel came to our time and she always does to greet the costumers. Amazing food and great service! Definitely recommend it and we’ll definitely be back!

Went here because it's right around from where I work. Unfortunately the first time will be my last. Service was lousy, was overcharged and charged extra for their mistake. Tried to resolve the issue with the server to no avail. Couldn't stay to speak to an owner or manager, because I had a previous engagement but did send an email, it's been over a week and no response on their part. Apparently I'm not the only one who's been overcharged. Sad that the owners don't care enough about their customers to contact them.

Among the corporate chains and local pizza places of Suffolk County, this is an absolute gem and should not be missed if you are anywhere in the area. The owner greeted us, servers were very attentive and informative and most importantly, the food was amazing.

The food was delicious! However, the space was relatively noisy. They could put a bit more wine in the glass --for the price. The server was lovely and very informative.

It's a shame they can't install a dishwasher; that would save a lot of money for them. The bathroom toilet could use a little attention.

Although the owner is lovely and very kind the food options were very limited. Since it was an organic restaurant I expected a more extensive vegetarian type menu. The wood fired pizza was very good , the bean vegetarian burger was not. I think that they have a nice idea but have not developed the menu to entice a more vegetarian and organic following.

I was so excited to try this place because of the vegan and vegetarian options. Everything is organic and the meats and cheeses are sourced responsibly. The restaurant itself was disappointing. Considering the beautiful stand alone space, it wasn't very pretty or inviting at all. The parking lot is in the back of the restaurant and not a very pleasant start to a dinner. The restaurant itself didn't look all that clean. We ate outside and the table wasn't even wiped down before we sat down. There was no silverware, no bread served, no napkins ~ not very welcoming considering the prices. My cocktail was good. My husband wasn't happy with the beer recommendation, so the waitress said she'd be happy to bring another ~ she was very nice and friendly ~ but then she forgot {there was only one other table dining outside and the inside was pretty empty}. The food was just ok, very fried ~ we ordered mostly veggie options. The cauliflower balls were mushy and burnt at the same time, the bean burger was also mushy and not so tasty. The shrimp tempura was good, the sauce was pretty sparse. We were really put off by the plastic silverware and paper plates. We ordered 3 appetizers and a bean burger and the bill was over $80 ~ if it was tasty and the place was clean, more welcoming, and we ate on real plates with real silverware, we would have understood that carefully sourced food costs more. But it was not a great dining experience. Cleanliness is a big thing for us when we're dining out ~ the restaurant itself, the tables, the silverware, as well as the people serving the food. I think their hearts are in the right place and we certainly need more places serving clean, whole, carefully sourced food, but this place fell short. I don't usually give unflattering reviews, but I think that if they take some of these reviews seriously it won't take too much to make this place so much better.

I will not be back. That's something I rarely say about a restaurant but I won't make this mistake twice. In short, the cauliflower meatballs were mushy and were burned on the bottom and smothered in so much red sauce that obscured any possibility of my tasting the different spices that were supposed to be in the dish. They sat atop a sad pile of limp lettuce which just didn't make sense. We shared the lentil dish with the coconut milk and broccoli which was so (temperature) hot it was like molten lava in my mouth. The dish looked grey and unappealing and the broccoli the same color as the brown lentils. Clearly cooked for wayyyy too long. I think the flavor was okay but hard to tell since it stayed hot to the last mouthful. We liked the smoky tequila drink but we're charged for an extra-- at $12 a pop, that's no minor error. Waiter threw a dessert menu at us and we said we needed to run but that made no difference as it took another 15 minutes to track him down and then correct the overcharge. This place needs to fix things. Too many awkward menus and food that just doesn't pull off what I think they're trying for. When I mentioned the name of the restaurant a friend had said she'd been here a while back and had many of the same complaints as we did. Not worth the wait.

The food is amazing and good price for the quantity and quality of food. We all love the pizza! Jay and Raquel are both amazing people and we feel like family every time we dine. Jay is a great chef with wonderful vision when it comes to his food. His #1 ingredient is love! Wild Side is a great find for anyone! Enjoy!

Food was very average, service was labored at best. We were totally put off by the use of plastic utensils and paper plates.
Service was very odd, we ordered coffee and ice cream for dessert and when asked if they could be served together, we were told that we had "odd taste". Ice Cream was very good but was just taken out of the deep freeze in individual containers, like store bought, hard as a rock and served with plastic spoons.
The food seems very over priced. When we complained that the short-ribs (supposedly a real crowd pleaser) were very fatty, we were told 'it's normal". One entire rib of the 2 small ones served was entirely fat.
A complete disappointment. Even one of our salads was all mushy and left over looking.

Probably only good for pure vegan and gulten free dining, which I must admit is not easy in Suffolk county.

One of our favorite spots. Raquel and Jay are always happy and you can tell they really love what they do! I literally dream about the fungi pizza. Everything I've had is amazing. Love that they focus on healthy organic food. The wait staff is knowledgeable about the food. Can get busy, especially at the bar, so make reservations and order soon after getting there. Love that you are never rushed and can just hang. Careful if you go on a night with live music because it can be very loud.

Very unique and fun restaurant, I mean that in a positive way. You can tell the owner and the employees truly care about the restaurant and take pride in what they do. Very delicious food, great culture and outside the box from your traditional restaurant. I recommend going there with an open mind and being open to their atmosphere and culture. Potato sliders were delicious with amazing flavor and spices including the chutney and side sauces. The veggie burger was outstanding and incredible fries. The margarita pizza was our favorite part of our experience, delicious ingredients, unique fun food, we will definitely go back! Special shout-out to Jay the owner and Matt the waiter for a wonderful experience. Strong 4 stars

Wild Side serves Healthy Organic food, much of which has Indian flavors. It is NOT typical Indian Fare - the spices are perfectly blended but subtle enough to allow the fresh ingredients to shine through. I guess the food could be described as fusion since much is served on "pizzas." I think of them as flatbreads. I love the one with wild mushrooms and truffle oil! They have a real wood fired oven and you can watch your pizza being built. Whether pizza or other entree, the meal is definitely foodie-worthy. One more thing. As much of Oakdale has a high water table and the county has imposed strict water conservation rules, the food is served using something that resembles plastic as bowls and utensils. Don't be fooled - these are made of eco-friendly materials like Sugar Cane. Everything there is environmentally conscious which adds to the ambiance. Also there are large paintings by local artist Frank Latorre. Wild Side even locally-sourced their Gorgeous Artwork!
