Wild Ginger - Franklin
Though restaurants categorized as “fusion” are mostly located in trendy metropolitan areas like Miami and Manhattan, Wild Ginger is the first and only of its kind in Middle Tennessee.
This family-owned and operated restaurant’s perpetually growing popularity and devoted regular clientele make it essential for us to not just continually reinvent our menu, but more importantly, the entire dining experience. Wild Ginger is the perfect destination for a business lunch, romantic evening, or relaxing dinner with family and friends.
Michael was our server and he was the bomb! Everyone loved him.
We had a rather large group of ladies, but the service was impeccable! We all loved our food and plan to return again soon
My husband and I tried Wild Ginger on a whim as something different that we were used to. It has now become our favorite restaurant in Franklin. So much so, we went there two nights in a row. We were served by Michael the first night and Mitchell the second night. I highly recommend asking for either of these servers. Their styles are different, but they are both amazing. The food was fresh and served at the appropriate temperatures, the flavors were amazing, the ambiance was spot on. You definitely need to make reservations, because they were super busy every time we went. However, they did not over commit their servers so even though they were busy, the service was great.
Was nice. As expected
As always very good ! Never disappoints!!!
Great! We were there for my daughter’s going-back-to-college dinner. Good food and nice ambience. Enjoyed the meal and time with my daughter.
The restaurant offers great food and excellent service.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Our server, Michael, was fantastic, paying detailed attention to all of us. The food, as always, is first rate, from an ahi burger to honey chicken to Shanghai noodles and a custom made dish for my daughter who likes “spicy”.
Thank you for making my daughter’s sweet sixteen birthday dinner so memorable.
Had to wait about 25 min for our reservation on a Saturday night but food was great
We had a 6:30 pm reservation but were not seated for over 45 minutes. It was very loud and the food was not good. I went with two friends and we were all very disappointed with our meal. Two of us left our meals mostly untouched. I do not recommend this place.
Cocktails and Premium sushi rolls are very good. Wok dishes good. Service very good. Place gets loud when busy.
Go here fairly often, the service is always good and staff is very nice most of the time. Food is good as well most of the time as well. The value of what you get isn’t great at all though. It has a nice ambiance so you pay a lot more which is understandable. The food is just very over priced/portion size is off to me Most of the sushi rolls are $18-20+ which is crazy to me. ( some have like 5 seafoods so it makes sense with those) They do have some in the $8-14 range but it’s your normal rolls like spicy tuna. They want to be know for the best sushi and they are one of the better sushi places around overall. They are the only nice atmosphere sushi restaurant around unless you go downtown to virago. Wish they had better prices or pours for doubles on whiskey and other drinks.Definitely worth trying been going here occasionally for years now.
We went there for New Year's Day. The service was excellent the food was superb. The staff was attentive. I left my telephone in the seat next to me. I remembered it just before I got in the car. Do young lady met me at the door to try to catch me. I would recommend that anyone should go and eat. All of the dishes we had were very very good. If you don't like your food spicy make sure they're read the menu carefully. As they described it quite well and some of the dishes with beef are quite spicy and a little bit on the sweet side for me but still delicious nonetheless. I've been there a couple of times but this trip was more than a pleasure as there weren't a great number of people there at lunch time about 2 in the afternoon. As such it was extremely quiet in the bar area table seating. If you don't like noise and the place is quite full you might not want to sit in the main dining room it's a very loud as the all of the conversation bounces off the glass windows of which they have plenty. All in all it's one of the finest restaurants in the Nashville area. And though it's an Asian restaurant there's something there to eat for everyone. I read the children's menu and I have no doubt that my children and grandchildren would gladly go there. Blessings upon you throughout this new year Michael.
Food was great. Server closed us out about an hour early to go home and no one ever came by after to check to see if we needed anything. Otherwise, food was great and we had fun.
We eat here frequently and LOVE the food. IT is always excellent. This time we were thrilled to get the special table that we'd requested and loved that it was much quieter and easy to here than other parts of the restaurant. However, our server though he was polite was very distracted, or seemed off somehow... and not nearly as attentive as what we are accustomed to. However, we love Wild Ginger and will be back!
The hostess was so gracious and kind!!
Service was great!!!!
have not been at Wild Ginger in seven years...it is just as great now as it was back then...can you open one in Canada?
I'v been coming to this restaurant since it opened several years ago. It continues to evolve and grow
with the times. The food is always excellent; the staff is well trained and fun to work with. The chef is amazing!
Great food. Fast. Always!
Due to the holiday, the place was packed and service was slower than usual, but Brit bent over backwards to ensure we were taken care of. Great waiter and outstanding food!
nice place, but much too load. we had to yell at each other in order to be heard.
All the food seemed undercooked and had a slimy texture. My family and I had upset stomachs afterwards. Food was not nearly as good as other Asian restaurants in the area. Probably will never return.
Great service, food was very good. It can be very loud, hard to have a conversation.
Delicious and fun!
Usually everything is 5 stars but we typically go during off hours. Despite having a reservation we waited longer than we expected and ended up sitting at the bar. The sea bass which is usually perfect had a few tough bites. No complaints though and we’ll continue to be patrons!
Food and cocktails were fantastic ~ service was alright as well
Great food. Perfect place for a business lunch. Best sushi in the area.
We went to this restaurant for our anniversary based on the reviews. We were let down on every level.
We were not greeted in a friendly way by the hostess, when shown our cafeteria style table in the terribly overlit restaurant , the noise level was extraordinarily loud, terrible acoustics.
We asked to sit somewhere else and we went to the bar area, not quite as bright, but very sports bar feel.
The descriptions of the sushi sounds phenomenal, the price of the sushi compliments that. However the actual sushi is about as boring and plain as you can imagine. We ordered the prawn and scallops dish after it was recommended. The butterflied prawns were left unknowingly with the shell on, terribly overdone as well. The scallops were old and rubbery.
We were also recommended a beef dish. Again, terribly overdone and so chewy we could not eat it. After complaining to the manager, who was hospitable at least, our server got the ump and thrown our bill the the table and stormed off.
A mediocre restaurant posing as an upscale one, poor service, terrible ambience and totally over priced food. Would not recommend.
Overall great experience. Service was excellent. A little pricey but the food was good. We tried the neo-tartare appetizer which was excellent.
Awesome service and great food. We are always treated well here and it’s a go to spot for date night.
Iv'e always heard good things about Wild Ginger from others, and I finally had the chance to enjoy it myself. I colleague and I got together to get caught up, and the atmosphere, food, and drinks did not disappoint. Overall this is a very good place to gather with a few or more friends to enjoy a large variety of Asian inspired dishes and great sushi/ sashimi.
The appetizers and sushi was delicious but the main dishes way over priced for what you received.
The shakey beef was tough and chewy and the rest of the dish was very salty. If they're going to charge $28 they should use a high quality beef.
Love it. A family favorite and a jewel in Franklin.
Wild Ginger is one of the best, always great food & service
Never had a bad meal. Love this place. Great date night.
Had date night here and it was awesome! Juan was our server and he was soo happy and great the whole time. It was our first time dining here and we ordered a lot of food. Everything from the dynamite shrimp, blackened shrimp and scallops and the sushi rolls were all excellent and a great presentation. We'll definitely be back...cheers!
I have eaten here a few times, either with my wife or a group of people, and no one had ever had a bad meal. Everything we’ve tried has been good. The service is always good, too. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent sushi and Asian fusion dishes.
Whats not to love about a place where you are known. They take the time to remember your name and preferences. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!
