Will always love this chain. Lost some of the warmth with the move. Space is really loud and couldn't really hear my fellow dinners was meeting for dinner. This won't stop me from coming back again and again because it's a great place. Just slightly dropped in the rotation.

Wild Ginger is one of my favorite restaurants. I had not been to the new Bellevue location but I have been to the other locations. It was very busy, however our service was spot on!

Our favorite dishes of the evening were the siam sea bass lettuce cups
and the pad thai!

My girlfriends and I met there for dinner and were seated right away in a nice large booth.
The food selection was good, although many of the dishes are quite pricey and don’t come with any sides. However our meals were all quite good and the service was excellent

Great place for those with food restrictions or allergies. My husband is allergic to glutton, dairy, eggs and soy. They will gladly work with you to create something yummy!

As other’s have noted the service is subpar. Put a few more servers on the floor and this would be great. As it was we were left unattended for nearly 20 minutes before water even arrived. Once we were eating shared plates, the dishes were arriving too quickly.

I have been a regular for a little over 10 years and the experience I had Friday night was by far the worst. The service was minimal to none and our server did not provide the kind of service I have come accustomed to at Wild Ginger. For the price we paid, you would think the server would have been more attentive. Instead, we had to ask for our drinks several times, several side dishes were not delivered and we had to remind the staff to bring the rest of our food out, the server was annoyed we asked for a dessert menu. We had to ask for water refills and coffee refills. The food we received was delicious but the atmosphere in this new location felt more like a diner rather than a restaurant I just paid more than $200 at. Very disappointed.

New space is very different from the former location, I think it's good, especially like the bar up front. The food used to be a few notches above other Asian restaurants. I suppose because the competition is fierce, the food no longer seems unique. And of course, prices are very high.
Service was hasty and amateur at best. They were in a race to clear plates away while some at our table were still eating their dinners. That would be annoying even if there were a reason to rush us out, but there were several empty and available tables.
We are not anxious to return.

New location (Lincoln Sq South vs Bravern) seems a little more cramped and less personal. Background noise / music were definitely higher. Originally seated at a 2-person table in a row of other 2-person tables sandwiched between two rows of booths and right under a speaker. Virtually impossible to have a conversation over the music / other people's conversations without resorting to shouting. Much better when we moved to a nook area at the end of the bar; fewer people and no overhead speaker. Food and drinks were wonderful as usual, and the service was really good too. A bit of a splurge for day-to-day dining but great for a treat like a date or other special occasion. Hope they tone down the noise and return to a little more sophisticated ambience.

Since the move from the Braven to this new location a lot has changed. The Wild ginger must have lost service personnel since it does not have the same attention to detail and the same attention to the guests as back at the Braven. Usually the waiters are cheerful and ask if you have dined before. No such thing this time.
The meals always and I mean always arrived at the same time. This time 2 out of 5 arrived 15 minutes late and the first 2/3 where cold while the first was steaming hot. Not professional and it seems a new manager on the scene. Only paid for the 3 meals but no option for the next time by the manager.
Once again a first at the Ginger.
I don't thing their will be a next time as their are many other restaurant options where the new ginger has moved too.

We were disappointed in our Christmas Eve dinner at Wild Ginger in Bellevue. First of all, the atmosphere is much less impressive than at their Seattle location. This one feels small, as if they tried to fit one more restaurant into the shopping center.
Amazingly, on a snowing evening, the hostess offered us a table right next to the outside door, even thought the restaurant was less than half full. We chose a booth in the center of the restaurant instead.
Our food was very good. We had an 8:00 reservation, which was their last time slot of the evening. Our waiter asked us how we would like our dishes served (we answered, soup first, then both entrees), but he later came out with one entree and said, "I'm just bringing them when they're ready, because the kitchen is getting ready to close up."
There was a small child playing ring-around-the-rosie within three feet of us. This went on for 10-15 minutes. Of course this isn't the restaurant's fault, but it gives you an idea of the atmosphere.
We'll be back when we just want to grab a bite to eat, and aren't looking for fine dining. But if you're looking for something special, I'd drive to their Seattle location, or pick another restaurant.

Liked the space better in the Bravern, but like the location here on Bellevue Way. Service was very slow. She was great and thanked us for our patience, but the appetizers should not come before the drink order. The menu is very scaled down. We were seated in a booth looking into wait staff registers. It’s noisy and crowded. The food did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, just not a fan of the new digs.

Large group of 6. It’s just not that good. Expensive and some of the dishes were awful while others were fantastic. Bathrooms were out of paper towels all night long, even when reminded earlier in night that they had run out. Service was spotty throughout evening as well. Beef satay was raw. Pad Thai was delicious. All throughout meal, same thing: one dish good, the other bad. Very pricey meal for very average food in tight quarters. Do not recommend.

Had a great dinner with friends. Our first time at the Bellevue location after many meals at the Seattle site. Food was as good or better. Loved it all. Service by Joell was outstanding. Drinks were excellent. Definitely going into our Bellevue rotation. Be smart if you know you are going and drop by a nearby Costco and grab some gift cards. $79 for $100 of food.

The beef in our entree (7 flavor beef) tasted like it came out of the freezer, at least it didn’t taste fresh. The fried rice was ok, the cubed pork bits that were added made the dish seem like it come from a school cafeteria. The only thing my date liked was the hot tea, so at least there was something good to look back on.

While the food at Wild Ginger is very good, the prices on some items are a little outrageous. $34 for a small piece of fish seems excessive. But Wild Ginger is almost always consistent in the taste and quality of food.

I have dined at Wild Ginger in both Bellevue and Seattle for years. My friend and I have
had a “ tradition “ for years of celebrating our birthdays and Christmas there.
December 9th was my first time at your new location. We had reservations for 8:30.
There was very little space to wait fir our table to be ready. The entry is very cramped and small.
In general, I am disappointed that the menu was significantly scaled down. The entree that I ordered ( tuna) was one I have enjoyed many times in the past. It was very bland and not very flavorful. My friend commented similarly on her entree.
We will not be returning any time soon.

The concierge was fantastic, cocktails also incredible.

I ordered the lamb chops, I would not recommend to anybody the lamb chops chard black and covered in Hoisin sauce. Yes the lamb chops were advertised Hoisin n garlic lamb chops however the char burnt chunks made enjoying the lamb impossible.
I personally think the Waiter screwed up the order, since my Lamb did not arrive even close to my dates. 5-8 minutes. Waiter screwed up Cook Burt the crap out of my lamb.
The concierge/ manager asked about my / our meal I politely told the manager about the char and the unbelievable amount of Hoisin sauce.
Long story he removed my plates but nobody removed my girl friends plates for at least 15 minutes
He comp’ed my meal and we received a nice Dessert

This place came highly recommend and I will try it one more time just not the lamb.

This was my first time at wild ginger’s new location. When I made the reservation I mentioned that it was my parents anniversary and they were in town visiting. When I confirmed the reservation I again mentioned the anniversary and asked to send a dessert. No mention at all of the anniversary.

Food was marginal. Not as good as I had remembered from previous experiences in Seattle and at the Bravern. Portions are small and the bill was pretty high. Service was good but lots of upselling.

These factors combined with the missed anniversary and I won’t be back, too many other great choices nearby

Our visit started off a bit rough, despite arriving 15 min prior to our reservation, we were told we would be seated closer to 7:45 (our reservation time). However, we watched many people get seated before us and finally were seated almost 20 min past our appointment time. The food & ambiance was good otherwise. But it would have been nice to have had our reservation time honored or an update on the status instead of waiting for me to check in at 7:50 because I thought that they had forgotten about our party.

Had not been to the Bellevue restaurant since they moved.
Called on the day of to see if my booking could be increased from 2 to 3. Had to change the time to 8pm but no problem at all in doing so.
Arrived at 8 to find no reservation (apparently the change had not been made). The staff at the front desk were very apologetic and asked us to take a seat and as soon a table became available, they would seat us.
We were seated after about 10 minutes and not long after, a waiter appeared with champagne for all of us to apologize for the inconvenience - Apology accepted!!
Service was sensational and efficient and food was amazing (as always).
The new site is a lot smaller, so it seems cozier and I must confess, a little noisy, but not enough to put us off, we'll be back for sure. Just love Wild Ginger!!

What happened to Wild Ginger in Bellevue? Is it the new location? A new chef? ???

I've been a big fan for years, so when it's location moved to Bellevue Way I expected the same high quality food and food offerings.

BIG disappointment. We've eaten there twice in the last few weeks and the food has been beyond oily and very mediocre.

So sad, but I have to take one of my favorite restaurants off my "Recommend List."

Went here for my moms 86 birthday and the staff took care of us very well. While this was our first time going to the new Lincoln South location we’ve been to other locations before and new what to expect from the menu.

For Moms special event they greeted her when we got to the host area. Gave us complimentary champagne and made her smile with a birthday slice of dessert. It was those little things that will make us want to come back for sure! I totally recommend using open table to make a reservation and giving them a heads up for any special event you might have!!

The Bravern location was much better. If we go back to Wild Ginger it will be Seattle only. We had reservations and were sat at a VERY small table in the middle of the room literally 6” from the table next to us. Getting bumped from time to time by busy waiters and patrons walking by us. I understand they are maximizing space but I don’t want to eat with strangers and shouldn’t have to keep my elbows at my side at all times. The food has become very much less vegetarian friendly. We had the spring rolls (good) followed by the tofu salad which was not good. Zero flavor. Service was lackluster as well which was a new spin for Wild Ginger. Overall it was not a good experience although I won’t write off Wild Ginger completely. We just won’t be back to this location.
