Food in general was salty overall. Besides the saltiness, food was pretty bland. It felt like spices were missing from the selection of food we ordered. This wasn’t the Wild Ginger that we remembered from last year.
Delicious food. Wonderful service. Knowledgeable staff.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant staff took care of us, share their knowledge of the cuisine with us, and asked us if we had time constraints.
Great service AND food.
WE will return.
Food was good, company was good. Had better service on previous visits. Would still come back.
As a loyal Wild Ginger diner I was super unimpressed with the new Bellevue location. The food was not as good as my local Thai restaurant, the entrees arrived over 25 minutes apart for 4 people. The manager in the suit coat looked like he was completely miserable!
What was intended to be a birthday celebration for both my daughter and Mom was just a mediocre dinner with a $250 (pre tip) price tag for 4 people.
I’ve been a Wild Ginger patron from its inception and original location below/behind Pike Place Market. If only they’d stick with the flavors and dishes that work.
The Siam Lettuce Cups tasted watery and fishy. Spring rolls were just basic egg rolls. Kung Pow chicken was flavorless. Prawns were so full of peppers 🌶 you couldn’t taste the prawns.
The only dishes that were good were the seven flavor beef and the coconut ice cream.
Definitely not worth the trip to Bellevue...and certainly not worth the $.
I truly would not recommend at all. Utter disappointment.
I recently celebrated my birthday at Wild Ginger, everything was delicious and the Seabass was fantastic! After we finished our dessert, I received a signed birthday card from the team wishing me a Happy Birthday. Super unnecessary, though greatly appreciated. Nice touch Wild Ginger!
Very accommodating. Strives to make customers happy. Won't hesitate to go the extra mile .
Enjoyed our family birthday dinner. A bit loud but restaurant at capacity on a weeknight. Nice complimentary birthday dessert with candles! Food always good.
The food was basically average. I expected better. The "7 Flavor Beef" left my dinner partner and I with a "WOW", but nothing else did. The ambience of the restaurant was also quite lacking. There is NO view of anything. It's not what I would have expected and certainly not equivalent to the Wild Ginger in downtown Seattle. Also one disturbing incident, an appetizer was delivered to my table. After a number of minutes a waiter came and asked if it was mine, I replied I didn't know (it didn't look like what I ordered) and he took it and gave it to the table behind me. I had actually touched some of the food on the dish that was going to fall off and I was a bit bothered by the fact that he didn't take it back to the kitchen for disposal. Overall, the dinner came to $100 for two and was ok but I don't think we'll be returning to that location again.
I've eaten at Wild Ginger before and always enjoyed the happy hour and dinners. This time I tried the wok cooked lamb chops! They were wonderful. Everyone at our table had a taste and raved about how tasty they were. Definitely will be back to order them again.
Looked forward to new location..odd figuring how to get in from garage. Anyway, meal was good and I treated my mother and aunt from out of town. Those two ladies thought our waiter was adorable and so I hesitate to criticize, but he said he would put appetizer order in, then the dinner items. The first dish out was green beans, followed by a gap, the another couple of dishes and appetizers. There was another gap until the Kung pao chicken came last and that dish was not hot (temperature), which made me wonder if it had sat waiting awhile. Dishes very good except Kung Pao chicken which may have been disappointing because of temperature.
The new location is much better and the food and service were great. Happy Hour menu has very good selection of drinks and small bites. Our server Ray was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Food came quickly; we had plenty of time to eat before our movie.
The best service we have ever had! Food was incredible too!
6 people for dinner. 6 entries ordered and one was so late that the other 5 were done eating. This was after letting our server know that we were missing a dish. And it is weird because they brought the first 5 dishes out at different times. There was probably 10 mins between dish 1 and dish 5 so we didn’t know when to speak up. Then the salmon dish finally arrived and the server said it was comped so that was fine. But then the dish was inedible. The manager happened to come by and ask how we were doing. We explained and then he tried to explain to us that we didn’t understand how the dish was supposed to taste. Thanks. There were no other complaints or issues with the other meals but overall we were left with a bad taste. If I am in the mood to pay for small portions of overpriced food I will surely come back.
We love wild ginger! Our server was knowledgeable and so friendly. He was on it without us asking for anything! The new location threw us off because we forgot that, but it’s very pretty!
The food and service at Wild Ginger are consistently excellent. The booths are cozy and intimate. We like to go there for special occasions.
My husband and I had a date there on Valentine's Day and found it delightful. The waiter was excellent and the food delicious, as always. We prefer the ambience of the Bellevue Wild Ginger to the Seattle one.
It's ok food, nothing special. Won't be coming back
Fun Valentines! Ask for the seat that looks like a ski lift chair. Fun!
Food overpriced. The seven flavor beef was extremely salty and overpowered any other flavors. Skip the curry-- much better curries offered in the neighborhood for a much better price. The ahi tuna dish was tasty and had the best flavor of the night. We ordered nine dishes for our party and left feeling like we paid way too much for too little flavor.
Dinner was delicious and the service was very good. We would like to go again.
Do not like their new location. No ambience. Too busy. Food was okay.
Outstanding food and excellent service! A little noisy but what fun and what food!
Good overall but loud and a bit expensive for the food..
The gas in the kitchen went out while we were there so they couldn't cook anything hot. We were able to eat 2 appetizers and the waiter was really really nice about it. I felt bad for the customers and people who worked there as they were losing out on tips. Our group still left him a tip even after the appetizers were free. It was a bummer because I had my heart set on Seven Flavor Beef. :(
Looked forward to the new location, as always the food was very pricey but very tasty. The new setup is great if you have 4/6 people and get a booth, but if you have 2 people, you'll find yourself in the middle of the restaurant sitting next to another 2 top within arm's reach.
100$ for 3 dishes, one beer and 3 club sodas (Each charged 2$, no refills, and comp'ed later) makes this a hard sell within the downtown bellevue area given so many other choices around.
All in all a very tasty meal with price and atmosphere a challenge for us to go back.
Went here for our anniversary dinner and it definitely is not as good as the Seattle location. The duck and scallops were amazing. We had to send the sea bass back, it tasted too fishy, like old fish. Also our dinner didn't come out all together, we had asked for the duck to be the appetizer, which was fine, it came out first. After that everything came in 5-10 minute intervals which made it difficult because we couldn't enjoy the food all at once. The location is also very small, and next to the parking garage, its covered by curtains, but kind of kills the ambiance. I would not come here again, I would return to the Seattle location though. Our server was amazing!
Service and ambiance was good, but the quality of food was low. The soup was not fresh, so it had unpleasant smell, and the pad thai noodle was not fully cooked. You would be able to find a better place for the food with much cheaper price.
The food was exceptional. Especially the seven flavor beef. Definitely a great dinner.
Despite having a reaervation and asking for a quiet table, hostess seated us in the middle of the room with no privacy for our business meeting. Chicken dish came to the table cold and undercooked. Perpper beef was good. Wine was bery expensive $19/glass. Will not be back anytime soon.
If you liked the prior/other locations of Wild Ginger (Bravern/downtown Seattle), you may not enjoy the new location as much. Several menu items are no longer available (prawn and vegetable satays, etc) - entrees are very minimal in size for the price (especially the sea bass).
We were celebrating family visiting from far away, and overall everything was not what they recalled from years ago. Service was o.k., but some food items were taken away before we were done (ugh), and overall I was disappointed in the meal. We shared multiple appetizers and entrees, but nothing I would highly recommend. My daughter who has been coming to Wild Ginger since she was 3 years old was wishing we had tried somewhere else. Every item she asked about was not available. Kind of a bummer for what was supposed to be a special occasion?!
Just not what it used to be. Even 7 flavor beef not as good. Used to be my favorite restaurant in the day. Recipes are deifferent. Hanoi Tuna great, but small and expensive. Even the wine pour is small.
First visit to this nee location....the service eas very good..food was excellent...really enjoyed our meal and the desserts were fabulous....planning on returning for sure°°.
Food was great, and the manager came around checking on the tables which was nice, but our waiter seemed too busy and didn't check on us as much as we needed. The place was so noisy and small, the seating was tight. Maybe some people like "small and energetic", but it was too crowded and too noisy for us. Even with great food, we could hardly hear each other, so we won't be back.
Food was great. The menu is not real extensive, but there is a nice variety available.
The experience was awesome. I had a couple people in from out of town and they usually look to me to set up dinner. WG didn't disappoint.
The food and staff were awesome.
I thought the food was a little better than the service.
Fantastic food and great service! A bit loud but it was a fun, upbeat environment.
The food was amazing and our waiter was wonderful. Sadly the group of "ladies" and I use that term loosely, that were sitting in the booth behind us were extremely loud and talking about disgusting and inappropriate things throughout our entire meal. If it wouldn't have embarrassed my husband I would have gotten up and said something to them. We were there to cap off an amazing 40th Birthday for him, but unfortunately they kind of ruined it. We will gladly try Wild Ginger again though.
used to be great but now at new location they lost their special something -- yes the smaller menu has all the same favorites -- but small tables, hard uncomfortable chairs - no space for food at the table we had to actually box early and put under our feet. Wait staff un-attentive late on drinks, not filling water -- needing to look hard to find them -- you lost it WG!! You were great before I wont be back even for your most delicious food - #gottenworse
