Portions were much smaller than previous meals there, and the Pad Thai noodles were not authentic Pad Thai noodles. However, the service was very good and their cocktails were amazing! Try the Asian Pear - to die for!
Had the papaya salad and potstickers as appetizers, shared the 7 flavored beef, chicken phad thai, and spicy prawns as entrees for 4. We topped off the feast with mango and coconut sorbets, also shared. All were outstanding! The ginger martini warranted a second order. The staff was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. They have moved to a new location in Bellevue that doesn't have quite the same ambiance, but the food remains excellent. We didn't pay but the menu prices seemed reasonable (reason for the 'good' rating).
Our server was AMAZING. I think his name was Nathan. Food was very underwhelming. Spring rolls taste like donuts... noodle dish chicken was chewy and strange, tofu dish was good but nothing extraordinary. Service definitely made the night so much better! Very knowledgeable, kind, attentive and friendly.
The atmosphere was nice but a little on the loud side. Everything we ordered was delicious, however, the portions were very small compared to the price. Super-nice staff. Overall: Great food but at a high price.
The food was good. Service and and ambience good. Was disappointed that we could not order a Diet Coke because they only offer Jones soda which none of us wanted to drink. Please bring back coke products. Thanks!
The food and drinks are still great, but seems gone are the days of WG being upscale dinner event. On this night, it seemed like they just wanted to turn tables. Our food started coming out before our cocktails arrived. Four of us at 7pm could have been in and out an hour on their schedule. If we had wanted a quicky meal, we would have gone to an inexpensive causal restaurant. Instead we paid $200 plus for an hour of their time. I miss the old WG.
The food was excellent as always. However, the initial reception was off-putting. My friend arrived very early, gave my name on the reservation and was sat in a booth to relax with a drink. So far, so good. I arrived a few minutes before the reservation time and they could not find my reservation. Luckily, it was early on a Monday so they put me in an open booth. I waited for 15 minutes and it was only when my friend texted me that we realized we had been put into separate booths.
The food was okay and salty but the host gave us a very small table and next to. A very loud couple who was either drinking too much .
Great food, drinks and service. We were well taken care of. We each tried new dishes and were not disappointed.
We ordred the Indian Butter Chicken Curry & Pad Thai. Both were delicious!!! The sodas were a bit pricey at $5 per. Service was efficient and very quick. When visiting Seattle/Bellevue again, will definitely eat at Wild Ginger.
Not our first time, and as always very good food, well cooked and with subtle taste and spices.
Great gluten free options. It was a birthday dinner and they gave us. Great gluten free chocolate majorly yummy cake.
Great food and service as always. We look forward to coming to Wild Ginger each time we’re in Bellevue or Seattle.
We celebrated an anniversary and everyone was so nice. They made our night special even giving us a card. Very good place to celebrate!
Yummy Thai food but a little on the expensive end. Hard location to find parking if new to town. Otherwise, great experience. Would go again.
We were a party of 6 and each couple shared 2 entrees between the couples and it has been awhile since my husband and I have eaten at Wild Ginger (we LOVED the original one below Pike Place) but totally disappointed with our 2 entrees Scallops and Beef dish with flank steak. Just not that good.
The food and service were both excellent! The menu is quite varied and everything we tried was unique and tasty. The service was very prompt and pleasant. Overall excellent experience!
Server was very helpful with this being our first time there. We ordered a few items and he helped us adjust the amount to a better serving size for two. The food was presented well and tasted very good. We had the seven seasoned beef and the duck with Bok Choy on the side. We hope to visit this restaurant again and try some different items on the menu.
I don’t know what happened, last time it was more reach in flavor and I remember to be delicious, this time it was just OK
Enjoyed son's birthday dinner--Wild Ginger is a favorite of ours. Excellent service and great meal. Highly recommend
As good as the store downtown. Service is good here. Food is good. We will be back.
Amazing!! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone
We shared our various selections "family style" to fully appreciate the different prepared entrees. I particularly enjoyed the pad thai, even though the type of noodles was unusual for that type of dish. Our attentive server rewarded me (though we all shared ) with a Father's Day dessert, quite unexpectedly! ..a joyous occasion!
The food used to be so yummy here - we had been visiting the wild Ginger chain due to the fusion and variety for 20 years. This time I was severely disappointed.
Menu was kind of limited and nothing was really great.
We ordered the veggie spring rolls which was so oily it was inedible and bitter and if you squeezed it - was dripping. The waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill. The service was pretty good but food was slow to get to our table despite them being quite empty for father's day (late afternoon).
The chicken potstickers were good, and remaining meal was OK. nothing great- pad thai, and some dry ankor wat chicken with rice. The tofu salad was good, but again nothing unique in flavor.
Sad that this once memorable place, which was so hard to get in is lacking in flavor and menu items.
I will have to try the Seattle one before completely removing this from our resturant list.
The food was excellent. One slight drawback - each dish came out as it was completed in the kitchen, so our party of four received our food at different times. One dish came out after the others had almost completed their meal. Even so, I would recommend the restaurant. The portions are large, so they could be shared.
Always a reliably tasty meal in a nice setting. Their three signature dishes are great.
Great service! The food was good! The kids enjoyed the dining experience too, and the restaurant staff was very patient.
Food quality was very poor. We had Pad Thai, and chicken had the waited for long smell. The noodles were undercooked and hard to eat. Chicken satay's were undercooked, when we asked the waitress, she brought us new ones, but the next ones were overcooked. The princess prawns was the best dish we had, and tasted really good.
The service was top notch, our waitress came and asked many times if we needed anything. The kitchen is super fast to deliver food. They also didn't charge us for the chicken satay's which is very nice of them.
Ambience is also good, some candles on the tables would provide better, warmer lighting though.
Trace was an excellent waitperson. Very attentive and paid attention to small details, specifically, I can’t have milk and when my guest and I both ordered coffee, he put the milk on the far side of the table for my friend. Thank you for your attention to detail and knowledge of the menu for my food allergies. I’ll be back again.
Arrived at 8:00 PM with a reservation for 2 on a Friday night, and was seated promptly. Service was initially attentive, but once the main course was served, the server was hard to find despite the fact the house did not appear overly busy. The Seven Flavor beef was adequate, although the portion was small for the price. The beef special, the title of which I cannot recall, was mostly flavorless, a huge surprise. My dinner companion found her cocktail adequate.
Headed to the symphony with a bite before the event. Food was great, wait staff was exceptional and we were on a tight timeline and they catered to our needs. Great experience.
This is my first time visiting Wild Ginger since the move in Lincoln Square. What I come for the most is the papaya salad and the Szechuan green beans. Generous family sized helpings and can choose the heat level.
Dining for 2 can be a bit cozy with the smaller tables and the larger plates. We'll have to plan ahead how many courses to eat the next time.
Our Server Mathew was absolutely outstanding!!!
I am from out of town and always went to wild ginger in seattle every time I came to seattle. while it was satisfactory, the food was a disappointment. not bad just not outstanding like it used to be. very average
service started off outstanding and then faded
Best server I’ve had in 2 years since moving to Seattle. His name was Nic.
Excellent, varied menu, with ample servings. My friend and I both needed handicap parking, and this restaurant is VERY POOR in this regard. Parking in the garage is confusing to find, then we had to walk a pretty far distance. Valet parking might help in this regard.
Our meal was delicious, fresh, seasoned well and served quickly after we ordered. The seat facing toward the entrance was looking into direct sunlight and it was quite uncomfortable for the person sitting there. However, it was a very delightful experience.
We enjoyed the lunch menu on a holiday weekend.
The service was excellent and all the dishes were delicious. I especially liked the pork dish and the spring rolls.
Wow, we have been going to Wild Ginger for years and years..both locations. The food was so below par, it didn't even seem like the same restaurant. We were surprised as they have been so good for so long. My husband had a biz lunch a few weeks prior and reported the same. Something has changed!
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but since they've changed locations it has really gone downhill. I don't know if it is under new management but I don't think I will ever come back.
