Always a reliably tasty meal in a nice setting. Their three signature dishes are great.
Great service! The food was good! The kids enjoyed the dining experience too, and the restaurant staff was very patient.
Food quality was very poor. We had Pad Thai, and chicken had the waited for long smell. The noodles were undercooked and hard to eat. Chicken satay's were undercooked, when we asked the waitress, she brought us new ones, but the next ones were overcooked. The princess prawns was the best dish we had, and tasted really good.
The service was top notch, our waitress came and asked many times if we needed anything. The kitchen is super fast to deliver food. They also didn't charge us for the chicken satay's which is very nice of them.
Ambience is also good, some candles on the tables would provide better, warmer lighting though.
Trace was an excellent waitperson. Very attentive and paid attention to small details, specifically, I can’t have milk and when my guest and I both ordered coffee, he put the milk on the far side of the table for my friend. Thank you for your attention to detail and knowledge of the menu for my food allergies. I’ll be back again.
Arrived at 8:00 PM with a reservation for 2 on a Friday night, and was seated promptly. Service was initially attentive, but once the main course was served, the server was hard to find despite the fact the house did not appear overly busy. The Seven Flavor beef was adequate, although the portion was small for the price. The beef special, the title of which I cannot recall, was mostly flavorless, a huge surprise. My dinner companion found her cocktail adequate.
Headed to the symphony with a bite before the event. Food was great, wait staff was exceptional and we were on a tight timeline and they catered to our needs. Great experience.
This is my first time visiting Wild Ginger since the move in Lincoln Square. What I come for the most is the papaya salad and the Szechuan green beans. Generous family sized helpings and can choose the heat level.
Dining for 2 can be a bit cozy with the smaller tables and the larger plates. We'll have to plan ahead how many courses to eat the next time.
Our Server Mathew was absolutely outstanding!!!
I am from out of town and always went to wild ginger in seattle every time I came to seattle. while it was satisfactory, the food was a disappointment. not bad just not outstanding like it used to be. very average
service started off outstanding and then faded
Best server I’ve had in 2 years since moving to Seattle. His name was Nic.
Excellent, varied menu, with ample servings. My friend and I both needed handicap parking, and this restaurant is VERY POOR in this regard. Parking in the garage is confusing to find, then we had to walk a pretty far distance. Valet parking might help in this regard.
Our meal was delicious, fresh, seasoned well and served quickly after we ordered. The seat facing toward the entrance was looking into direct sunlight and it was quite uncomfortable for the person sitting there. However, it was a very delightful experience.
We enjoyed the lunch menu on a holiday weekend.
The service was excellent and all the dishes were delicious. I especially liked the pork dish and the spring rolls.
Wow, we have been going to Wild Ginger for years and years..both locations. The food was so below par, it didn't even seem like the same restaurant. We were surprised as they have been so good for so long. My husband had a biz lunch a few weeks prior and reported the same. Something has changed!
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but since they've changed locations it has really gone downhill. I don't know if it is under new management but I don't think I will ever come back.
Wild Ginger used to be our go-to restaurant for date nights and special occasions. We have always enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. And we have always felt that the food was reasonably priced, though a little on the high side.
Our last visit to the Bellevue location was a disappointment for a number of reasons.
I was unimpressed by this location's new layout, with two-seat tables laid out back-to-back in a very tight configuration. So much so that I actually bumped my neighbor with my chair when trying to sit (and I am conscientious of other people's space when dining). I was easily able to hear my neighbor's conversation to the side- to the degree that I thought we should consider joining tables to have a real conversation. The new configuration felt like an intentional attempt to pack in more diners, so that the restaurant could maximize the tabs, at the sacrifice of diner's comfort.
Once we were seated and the menus were proffered, my jaw dropped with sticker shock. My wife and I looked at each other and mouthed "Oh my God". The prices on the menu had skyrocketed. Also, many of the lower -range stand by items such as the satay, were conspicuously absent from the menu. As this was a date night for us, and our kids were with a sitter, we didn't want to squander the evening - and resolved to order half the dishes we had expected to order.
When the food arrived, it lacked the quality and the flavor that I have traditionally associated with Wild Ginger. The pot stickers were gummy, and did not appear to have been cooked long enough to caramelize the bottoms. Our duck buns were good, but lacked the pizzazz that I have come to expect at this restaurant. Additionally, I was very much thrown off by our server's comment that it "looked like a larger portion than usual".
All in all, we were disappointed. I used to love Wild Ginger, but can honestly say now that they have lost me and my family as a customer.
Great food and attentive service. Really enjoyed the time and the creative cocktails.
Front of house ignored us while she continued a call - not expecting her to put someone on hold but making eye contact or a quick acknowledgement would’ve gone a long way in making your guests feel welcome.
They’ve changed up some of their dishes - I will have to try the Seattle one again to see if it’s just Bellevue that is lacking.
Absolutely outstanding meal! We shared several dishes including the Sea Bass, Spicy Beef, bok choi with garlic, and brown rice. The sticky rice with mangos was so good we ordered another...
This was our second trip to Wild Ginger. The noise level was quite high both times to where it was hard to have a conversation. Hopefully that can be addressed at some point with some sound dampening. The food is amazing-We chose to eat "family-style" sharing quite a few different options.
Perfect Mother's Day dining experience - very relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyable! Great food and people, too!!
The food was delicious and customer service was great. I will go there again for Mothers day.
Wild Ginger never disappoints. If you go here, you must get the Seven Flavor Beef and the Duck. We tried the Tuna Tartare on recommendation from our server and it did not disappoint. Service was outstanding, which is nice for a Saturday night!
I would not recommend this restaurant. I've been there twice in 2018 and both times the food was unimaginative and underwhelming, and the service was very average. WG used to be great and leading edge...now, they are just average institutional food purveyors trading on their old reputation.
Improvement needed here. Unlikely to return.
Super disappointed with food. Asked for less spicy and no onions since I am allergic. Food came and took a few bites and realized there were onions under the meat, Server promptly apologized and replaced dish with no onion dish but it came back and was super spicy so I wasn’t able to eat it. Server was friendly but should have comped that dish since it was obviously not eaten and she proceeded to offer us free dessert. It was just not handled well and though I know she meant well it wasn’t a good experience. Probably won’t be back.
Service was fantastic and the food was great! We will definitely be coming back.
The Wild Ginger in Seattle has been a long time favorite, but the Bellevue imitation did not hold up to the original. Service was friendly but not professional/attentive. We we're drinking wine, but we're never followed up with/asked if we wanted a second glass. We had to flag folks down to get more water/drinks each time. The food was good/well prepared, but not at the level of the original, the portions were small - which is fine - but for the price the food was neither as special/or a good value. Really, it felt like any chain restaurant next to a mall, which was the feel we were trying to avoid when selecting the Wild Ginger.
The food was good, the kitchen efficient, bar service slow, service erratic, and noise was deafening.
We were not disappointed by anything we tried. Each dish seemed better than the last. The green beans appetizer and Siam lettuce wraps we're so flavorful and refreshing. The bao buns with plum sauce and duck we're delectable. And the Kobe beef satay was the perfect way to start the meal. Honestly felt we could have thrown a dart to select anything at random and it would have been delicious. Certainly recommend this spot and look forward to enjoying again.
The pot stickers were good but my Pad Thai was dry and without flavor
Horrible experience! Food took a hour to get to us!! Made 7:30 pm dinner reservations and didn’t get seated til after 8 pm.
At lunch time on Saturday, Wild Ginger was relatively empty. So you'd think the food would be better prepared and the service attentive.
Unfortunately, the duck felt like microwaved left overs from last night. It was even inconsistently heated, part of it warm and part cold. The other entrees were half heartedly prepared.
The Bellevue location is poorly managed, and seems like there is no quality control or supervision.
Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. What more could anyone want?
Wild Ginger is a great restaurant and a Seattle Institution. Go to the Third Avenue venue and skip Bellevue. Acoustics are horrible.
I’ve loved Wild Ginger for years, and I hope this was an anomaly vs the new normal. First, it was super loud, so my friend and I had to yell to hear each other. The Coconut martini seemed smaller/weaker than in the past. My friend ordered a fizzy wine drink that came flat. And it seems like prices have gone way up ($4 PER chicken satay skewer? They’re good but not THAT good!). All in all, not a great experience or value, and certainly not what I’m accustomed to there.
Small portions at high prices. Try somewhere else.xxxxxxxxxxxxx
