Wild Garlic Grill
Excellent food , service, quality and huge portions. Waiters first night and service was very good. Price was steep but for the portion size it was at least two meals worth.
Quality was to Notch. Flavor combinations were excellent. Will definitely return.
Our first time there. Definitely an 'occasion' restaurant. We would return at least once a year.
The selection was broader than most. And I liked the professional servers' approach. Where can I get educated service these days, where I learn from the server?
Chris is one of the nicest waiters my family and I have ever encountered at any restaurant. Extremely knowledgeable, funny, and kind. Food will never disappoint either.
Food, presentation, service was wonderful. This is a great place for a special occasion. My husband thinks this is one of his top two restaurants in the world ... the other restaurant is in the Montmartre neighborhood in Paris!
Outstanding choices of food, all excellent and very creative. Lovely outdoor seating with nice ambiance.
I had never been and heard rave reviews. I was disappointed maybe my expectations were too high. It was good not great. We were seated in a bad table outside in front the door. Traffic was high and there were plenty of empties around. They didn’t need to use that spot. I had the Blue Prawns. They were tasty all 4 of them. That’s $7.50 per prawn if you are doing the math. My wife had the salmon. It was very good and large serving. Also went with the recommend Mt Lemmon runoff drink. That was a mess. Don’t do that. So 2 x Specials & 2 drinks with tip $120. Sorry it wasn’t that great.
Celebrated my husband's birthday. Outstanding service and meal.
If you are steak person make sure you know that the steak is charred on the exterior. My husband is not a fan of charred meat so he was disappointed. The rest of us enjoyed our meals. Come prepared for a $$$$ tab.
Overpriced, overly complex entrees served by a waiter, Jeff, who was unresponsive
and way too talkative. He rattled on about nothing and took forever to serve
our dinner. No way will we return. And this was our third time there.
I have not had such an exquisite dining experience since leaving Philadelphia nine years ago. The food was outstanding. The staff were professional. The ambience was upscale with a laid-back feel.
Had a nice dinner, really like dining in Tucson while snowbirds are away, so nice. Oh, there are only 5 tables in use right now so let’s pack them all into one small area of the restaurant! Why do restaurants continue to put us back to back when the whole thing is open? Anyway, though rly enjoyed the salmon, service was very good, will be back. But likely be more forceful about where they sit me.
Great restaurant, delicious food, huge portions, great service
Needs more attentive service, such as bread, more water
Absolutely fabulous! Delicious food! Great service! Great ambient!
Celebrated our anniversary here with friends. Service was good, but seemed that our server had the entire patio on her own. Food was wondrful and plenty of it. Our server did give us a complimentary dessert for our celebration. Very thoughtful.
What a disappointing visit. We have visited this restaurant several times before but this time was way below our expectations. The single waitress in the patio had to serve a table of 20 as well as our table of four, so as you might imagine service was incredibly slow. The beet salad although tasty contained only four small wedges of beet. The sirloin steak was overcooked and tough. And our guests left most of their dishes and did not take food home.
One of the best restaurants in Tucson! The service is exceptional. We chose to sit at the bar on Saturday night. Love the improvements made regarding noise on the inside. It has greatly reduced the ambient noise level - thank you! The Red Snapper special was truly amazing with great flavors. The Bolognese is always exceptional - such a great combination of meats - very tasty. Great selection of wines as well, especially the newest from Paso Robles - Cabernet - Yumm! Can't wait to return.
The food was amazing, almost made up for the horrendous service. Avoid this place if you are looking for a fine dining experience. But if you don't mind used dishes stacking up, which the servers expect you to move for them to make room on the table for the next course...then this could be your place. I have never been to a restaurant where the differences between the front of the house and the kitchen were so glaringly at odds.
Seated immediately. The food was exceptional and the service amazing.
Always great specials! Food was excellent. Service was good. They could use more servers to make sure water glasses are kept full. We had to ask several times for water refills. The restaurant wasn’t that busy.
Eating at Wild Garlic Grill is something everyone in our family looks forward to. There is much to enjoy on the regular menu but when you add the list of specials it becomes difficult to narrow down your choices because everything sounds so good! This is not an inexpensive place to eat, but the portions are very generous and it is well worth the price for such fine food. Over the years we have tried just about every menu category and we are always delighted with the quality and flavor of our meal. WIld Garlic Grill is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Tucson.
The food was amazing and the service wonderful. I would recommend to anyone. I wish it wasn’t so loud.
Excellent food and presentation
This is a great place to entertain out-of-town guests. The food was spectacular as usual. The wait staff was patient with our need to visit before we ordered. And the table Maudi picked out for our group was quiet and private--just what we needed for catching up with each other's lives.
The food is amazing and the wine is great we always have a wonderful meal
Quiet night...service good. Mushroom soup for me and New Eng.
clam chowder for my husband were delicious.
I had a soft shell crab as my entree which was disappointing- Too salty and mostly breading. My husband had the the Seafood Stew.
He said that the shrimp were the best part of that dish. Overall. the meal was just okay.
Excellent as usual
Wild Garlic is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent and beautifully plated. The new location is wonderful and the staff work very hard to do their jobs.
Menu changes daily and you will never be bored. Excellent!
We had a terrific lunch, the food was very good, but a group in the back was very noisy.
Great food. Superior service.
Food was excellent, yes expensive so i feel they can afford real table cloths not some butcher paper on a table that you might find in a barbecue pit picnic.
On a Saturday night, inside seating was very crowded and noisy. Outside seating was far better. All covered and good airflow. Not excessively hot at all.
Food overall was very good......however, best items were not on printed menu, but on a large chalkboard at the restaurant entrance. Only way to remember the specials was to use phone to take a picture of the menu. Waiter did present specials, although not all of them, and there were so many that was hard to remember. Also, no prices were listed on the chalkboard, nor volunteered by the waiter. And "specials" were significantly more expensive than those items on the printed menu. A small printed page with specials, with prices, would have been a big help. Wine list (printed on a small sheet, was good and fairly priced. At the end of the night, total price for dinner and moderately priced wine was quite high. Service was OK, but it was a very busy Saturday night.
Restaurant would have probably been outstanding on a less busy night, and with a printed "specials" menu, with prices.
Outstanding menu with a varied menu of steak, fish, chicken and a good selection of appetizers. Specials everyday who please every palette. Our server made some great recommendations for our
Meals and wine selections. Very fun evening.
Food plating was a little sloppy. Had the rack of lamb but bones were charred really bad. Racks could have been frenched cleaner and bones wrapped in foil when grilled. Too much mashed potatoes on plate. Food tastes good. Really good rate cook on filet. Fois Gras was delicious however I would leave the Cantilope and honey dew off the plate. Server was Awesome.
Probably our tenth visit in the last three years. The food was wonderful as usual, as were the many choices. Great, and fairly priced wine choices. Impressive how the waitstaff recite from memory the long specials list. Not so impressive is the fact that the prices of same are unknown. Yes, I know we can ask, but that is unfair. Specials prices should at least be posted on the board in front of the restaurant. Please fix this!
I have yet to be disappointed with a meal at this restaurant!
Food and service was amazing!!! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a fantastic meal!
We were a party of 4 and everything was wonderful until I received my entree. I ordered San Francisco Pier Stew and it was EXTREMELY hot. I did burn my tongue even after waiting a bit. I could have done without that.
Delicious and large portions of food in a location far bigger than the old place. It's "classier". Busy wait staff and servers, a bit noisy but fine for casual conversation. Anything that has garlic in it is AMAZING. We had lots of food to take home too...delicious risotto, halibut and delicious freak seasonal veggies. A whole other dinner for the two of us. Good parking too!!
