Wild Garlic Grill
Food was amazing. Service was slow. Would definitely go back
The food is excellent as well as the service - Love this place but it is very loud :(
Awesome. Caleb our server was great. Enjoyed entire meal
The Wild Garlic Grill is the best restaurant in town! Tons of food - you won't go away hungry!!
Our party each ordered a different fish dish. All were prepared picture perfect and featured a mélange of veggies as well as a risotto and the fish was fresh and moist. Kudos to Wild Garlic Grill.
The portions are TOO large. Too much food for 1 meal.
Would like to see a choice. Reg. and smaller portion.Great variety of fresh grilled veg.
We had a great meal, much quieter at the bar area. Very attentive service. Mushroom soup is always great. My husband had the ribs, I had the mushroom salad. Terrific!
Food was great but the restaurant is extremely noisy.
Very noisy and tables packed together like sardines. Food was good in spite of the halibut being over cooked. Service was average nothing special. I would have expected better at this price.
Although the seating left a bit to be desired regarding privacy and feeling like you were having a nice night out, the food and service were quite wonderful!! Very creative chef, and it paired well with the chef's recommended bottles of wine for the evening. We both had the specials which were amazing: quail and halibut, and a soft shell crab shell salad to start!! A must try in the surrounds of Tucson proper!!
Always delicious. Great gluten free options.
Everything was excellent. ...chef’s specials of stuffed salmon, stuffed prawns and rack of lamb were praised by everyone. Will definitely be back again.
The service was not great. Good thing the food was delicious!
The best thing about Wild Garlic Grill is that it is one of the only restaurants in Tucson that has multiple specials each night. The next best thing is that it is one of the only restaurants in Tucson with multiple seafood dishes on the menu. I had the rack of lamb over garlic mashed potatoes and root vegetables, all of which were excellent. Even better was the warm chocolate cake for dessert--it is really a lava cake (as good if not better than Flemings'). The server was well versed in all items of the menu. The only downside of the meal was the dearth of craft cocktails and dessert beverages.
Excellent food with an extensive menu. Everything we have had during multiple visits hasn’t been delicious. The atmosphere is lively and can be like loud, thought the new sound panels help. Service is attentive. Lovely patio in nice weather. Highly recommend
Excellent restaurant, server was very helpful, wine list good, and food outstanding.
On Open Table, never having been to Wild Garlic, requested patio and 2 birthdays to be celebrated. Upon arrival, escorted to patio in front, literally car grilles directly in view. Upon asking if they had more outdoor dining, she responded yes. We asked to see and settled on this location. Our waiter, while personable, and really no offense, was way to overzealous in describing 10 chef specials. We ordered our beverages, this took 25 min to receive. (In looking at wine list, waiter suggested we not get our sights on these as they may not have.). All said and done, not sure we’d go back. Everything took way too long. One of the birthday people requested a sorbet medley. Again, this took 25 minutes. Ugh...frustrating to be excited to go out but to leave frustrated and feeling like the meal was more about the waiter than our dining pleasure. 2 1/2 hour dinner, 1 hour longer than we needed:(.
The food was good not great and the restaurant was overall quite pleasant but not superb
Scottish Salmon is my favorite seafood dish, anywhere
Excellent food, superb staff, a bit noisy but still can hear each other. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or special meal out.
Always excellent food and great service. Always tough to choose from such an excellent and extensive menu.
Dinner was lovely. The waiter was super knowledgable and the food was superb.
Great food and awesome service! We had a wonderful dinner and a fun experience at the bar with tasty appetizers! Girls week in Tucson and this restaurant was recommended to us.
The food was amazing. Highly recommend the fondue.
I made this reservation on the patio because my previous visits to WGG have been less than satisfactory because of the noise level. The patio was lovely and quiet. (I do want to note that a sign indicated they have added 85 acoustic tiles and carpeted the walls inside to lessen the noise level, so I will try the inside again and see if it really helps.). The food as usual was excellent - we had sea bass and veal and Caesar salads - all really great! We had the Hahn GSM wine which at $38 was an excellent value!
We had a great experience at the Wild Garlic Grill. The food was fabulous and the environment was very nice, it helped the weather was great so the patio was very nice. Want to go back soon, as there were a number of menu items I want to try.
Met up with friends we rarely see... great experience as always
Thanks to previous reviews, we knew to sit outside. The food was incredible and generous. The value was excellent. Service did taper off after entre was served. Lack of follow up mid-meal and towards the end of the meal were not ok. Some reviews had mentioned this and unfortunately it was true.
The food is very good, wait staff very good. Noise level is very loud, hard to have a conversation, inside.
Not happy with their wine list! You don’t list a year and then serve another year without a price adjustment. Then talk you into another bottle from a specific wine region and then serve a bottle from another region! Very poor taste and unprofessional. Noticed they are not as busy as they were when they first opened. Not sure we will go back.
Awful experience. Incredibly loud - like a night club; so packed my wife was repeatedly bumped by the next table's waitress; ordered mussels appetizer which had sand in several and an unopened in the bowl; bread was really of low standard; so incredibly overpriced for the level of care. Struck from our future list.
Everything was excellent EXCEPT the noise level ( even outside) and the check in process. The hostess has 20 people bunched in the entry (which really accommodates about 4 people)...
We ate lunch Saturday on the patio when restaurant was quiet. The ambiance was pleasant and the salads were good. Server was accommodating swapping out items in the salads.
Saw some dinner meals go by which looked very appetizing. ....wasn’t overflowing the plate.
Suggestion: offer lunch menu on weekends.
The only suggestion is to ask your food be packaged in seperate containers for hot and cold for leftovers. when mine was packaged my salad was packed under my potatoes and next to my ribs which made for lettuce mush.
I can’t remember eating better food anywhere. I do not know of a better place to eat.
We truly enjoyed our visit at the Wild Garlic Grill. Both fish dishes were superb and cooked to perfection. Will be back again for sure!
Went for our 44th Anniversary and was so disappointed! I had to text my husband because he could not hear me across our tiny table because it was so loud! I have never been in a restaurant for adults that was ever that loud. The only ambiance was in the bathroom where I could shut a door to block the din. Doubt we will ever go again unless we can be assured only a few other couples will be there and sober.
New WGG is certainly larger than original, and it's pretty quiet thanks to efforts made. Quiet also as it was nearly void of patrons at lunch hour yesterday.
Service at entering was fine, and we received our food within a good timeframe. However, service eroded during our lunch...altho' water was replenished throughout meal, my iced tea was not..I had to ask a couple of times for sweetener.
As for my meal, If I'd seen a picture prior to ordering, I wouldn't have ordered...the combo of toasted quinoa + lentils is visually quite unappetizing.
I will try again, perhaps at dinner, when I know several of the items on the menu are to my liking.
One of the best restaurants in Tucson. We were both very pleased.
Food, service, ambience are always excellent. Better to go for lunch than dinner, since dinnertime is always more crowded and much noisier.
