The food was good and the outdoor dining was very nice. I ordered a pizza and it was dry so I asked for some additional sauce. Disappointing that they charged $2.50 for an extremely small amount of sauce that I shouldn’t have been charged for since the pizza was dry. Service was very good.

We sat in the bar area at a hightop. It was so loud that we had a difficult time having a conversation - the bar was not packed, I think it is just the setup of the restaurant and the high ceilings. Our server was prompt and excellent. We both got the burger, which was good, but the bun overwhelmed the meat. Additionally, our request for raw onion on the burger instead of the sauteed onion was rejected, saying that the chef only allows items to be taken away, not changed. We felt this was a bit ridiculous as it was just a request to not cook the onions. The fries that accompanied the burger were great! I ordered a glass of wine, and it was the smallest pour I think that I have ever received out anywhere. At $12-14 per glass, I was very disappointed in that. Overall, Wild Dog is a nice place in a cute downtown, but the lack of flexibility on our meal and the small pours of wine left a bad taste in our mouth. We are locals, but likely it will be quite some time before we return.

The best part of this place is the location in Downtown Douglas. The food was fresh, but under-seasoned and significantly lacking in flavor. We had the fire baked pizza, salad with green goddess dressing, and watermelon margs. The pizza crust had a nice texture, but needed more sauce. The salad was somewhat bland, and the watermelon margs tasted more like cucumber water from a hotel lobby. Again, the food appeared to be quite fresh; but not very tasty/flavorful.

Polite knowledgeable professional staff, delicious cuisine, lovely patio outdoor dining. Wild Dog is a wonderful dining experience in the resort atmosphere of charming downtown Douglas. Our “go to” restaurant with houseguests along or when we are looking for a dining experience for just the two of us. Highly recommended!
