Opening in August 2022, Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar has garnered acclaim, in 2023 being named #2 Canada’s Best New Restaurant in enRoute / Air Canada Magazine and #4 Best New Restaurant on Canada's 100 Best List and securing an overall #31 ranking for 2024.
Vancouver Magazine dubbed it “The Most Important Whistler Restaurant Opening in a Decade”.
Wild Blue is a distinguished Whistler fine-dining establishment that is devoted to Pacific Northwest cuisine, sustainable seafood, and locally-sourced ingredients. It is led by an exceptional team of partners: Neil Henderson, an award-winning Restaurant Director; Chef Alex Chen, 'Iron Chef' and recipient of Chef of the Year accolades by Vancouver Magazine; and Jack Evrensel, a distinguished member of the Restaurant Hall of Fame, who also founded and previously operated Toptable Group. Our Executive Chef, Derek Bendig, adds extensive experience and a classic French and European culinary touch to the culinary artistry of Wild Blue.

    What a fun experience. Always feel spoiled when we dine here. Food is still tasty, inventive, but not pretentious and superbly presented. The service is second to none, that blend of professionalism and friendliness- perfect. We will be back soon.

    Just perfect throughout. We went for the fixed menu special and added a few extras. Everything was outstanding from beginning to end. Highly recommend

    My absolute favourite restaurant experience on par with some Michelin star restaurants for food quality and gorgeous restaurant design! Can’t believe it took us 3 years to discover this lovely gem.

    We were very disappointed. We have been to Wild Blue before and have enjoyed our meal enormously. This time it was the complete opposite. The food was not very tasty and the quality was poor. My wife and I hade the special 4 course meal. In addition, the service was poor and slow, particularly for the dessert (20 minutes to wait). My wife enjoyed her sweet pea soup, but her chicken liver pate was like eating sweet paste - not a true liver pate at all. Her ling cod was stringy and not tender - and tasteless. The vegetables were also stringy and not pleasant to eat. Her final meringue was also disappointing. My tomato first course was good but it went down thereafter. The pasta was spongy and lukewarm, the risotto was soggy and lacked any real flavour and the dessert was another 20 minutes to wait. We were given a credit for the bread we ordered, as "compensation for the dessert delay". Frankly, a sad way to end Fathers day 2025!!!

    Always an outstanding food and service experience. From the time you walk in to walking out, the staff are welcoming, very knowledgeable and gracious. The food is spectacular. Memorable for sure!

    Wonderful meal and service. The room is beautiful, and it has alovely ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed the Chef's Menu. The Snap Pea Salad was wonderful as was the Ling Cod- definitely would return to Wild Blue.

    We went for the off season special which didn’t disappoint. The staff are extremely friendly yet efficient. Sitting at the bar was fun and the food was exemplary. We had the tomato tartar, the pea salad, the chicken liver pate and then we both had the Osso Buco. A wonderful night out!
