   If you want to eat at a local "Burgh distillery that has great food and great flights of whiskey, gin (especially) and rum this is the place. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable on everything especially the spirts. Left with a bottle of gin and single barrel bourbon and am looking forward to cracking them open. Unfortunately I live in Florida but will be return home when I can and Wigle will be a must stop when I'm back.

   This year’s “Dining out” experience with our family to celebrate Mother’s Day 2023 has never shone as brightly as it did at Wigle Whiskey in Pittsburgh’s Strip District! From a sun-drenched arrival with warmest greetings by Katie and Brady, to “spirited” personalized beverage service “for mom” from my favorite bartender-Brad, ordering food with Chelsea, and sampling Brian’s creative menu, what a bright, joyful, and deliciously unforgettable morning we spent together!    Everything I've had to eat and drink at Wigle over multiple visits has been spot on - there is a high level of attention to detail in the kitchen and at the bar. Service can be inconsistent, but last night it was that perfect combo of attentive/friendly and unobtrusive.

   We had snacks and cocktails and then did a custom flight of 4 spirits. It was all so good, we had to limit ourselves to only getting one bottle of the 4 we tried. The worst thing about this place is how hard that decision was lol

   We have gone to Wigle since they first opened and have always enjoyed our experience. While rating our most recent visit, a few things surprised us negatively. Our food was substandard. Specifically, the bun tasted stale and our tortillas were extremely dry. The drinks were perfect, as usual, and the bartenders do a terrific job. We are hoping the kitchen was having a bad night, because this was not a typical experience.

    Wow! Amazingly simple food done right. When I first saw the menu I thought it wasn’t very extensive and it appears to be more cocktail based, but was I in for a surprise. The small plates make wonderful appetizers, we shared the best overstuffed pierogi’s I’ve ever had with the crispiest of krauts and slightly charred keilbasa cooked to perfection. My burger was so juicy even when cooked well. The chicken moist and crunchy. These two sandwiches and one small plate and a bill less than $50! This is my new found gem. So bottom line, the cocktails are fantastic, the atmosphere cozy and fun, and the staff very friendly, but the food is worth it even if you don’t drink!!

    Wonderful experience having brunch with my family. This was our second time there and the food is excellent as last time. The kids loved the pierogies appetizer with kielbasi. Mussels were so tender and fresh, in a delicious tomato sauce with chorizo. It was the best mussels I had had in a long while. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich. Great cocktails. Our server was so nice, very thoughtful about what we needed, and everything was brought out promptly. This is truly a gem of a place.

    The kitchen at Wigle is to us a hidden gem in the Strip District. The food is always an interesting mix of locally sourced ingredients and prepared to perfection. We really enjoy the rotating specials as well as a few of the mainstays on the menu. Service is always friendly and relaxed.

    Sunday brunch. Very good cocktail. Decent eggs. Service was indifferent from the start when I ordered a cocktail from the menu and then asked for a specific whiskey and glassware to be used in place of the one listed. For a restaurant connected to a distillery I did did expect drink variations (making a Boulevardier into a Little Italy) to be understood if not welcomed. Perhaps I misread the fellow’s reactions.

    I really enjoy this place and it’s a great option in The Strip District, especially if you’re looking for a sort of sophisticated but also chill and kind of quirky vibe to get away from the crowds in some other places nearby. The food and drinks were excellent. I appreciate how limited the seating was so you can actually enjoy your brunch. For that reason I highly suggest making a reservation. The reason for my rating on service only has to do with them being a bit slow and checked in rather infrequently. It didn’t bother me per se since we didn’t have to get anywhere else by a certain time. Additionally the staff were polite and professional and knowledgeable so it all might be a part of wanting the guests to fully enjoy the experience.

    Superlative service, from getting seated to menu and drink knowledge and recommendations, to assisting with getting a cab cause my phone died. All the craft booze was amazing, and their gin may make me doubt the supremacy of whiskey. Nice cozy room. Take the Tour!

    We had a great time - our server and other staff were right on top of drink and food orders. We had the bean dip, pierogis and hush puppies to start with happy hour and for dinner mussels, the broccoli salad and Lonzetta sandwich. I would skip the hush puppies on the next visit but everything else would easily be a delicious repeat.

    The cheese curds were good just a little salty for two at our table of four. The Gnocchi with duck confit was wonderful. everyone enjoyed their meals The impressive part was our server listened to the non drinker in our party describe her tastes and was able to get the bartender to create a non alcohol cocktail that she loved!

    Adrienne, Andy, and Richard greeted us warmly as a family with out-of-town guests who specifically requested this meet-up location at Wigle. We ordered and enjoyed flights, cocktails, and ciders to accompany our delicious meals perfectly! Service remained attentive and interested in delivering delectable food items as ordered.     I would literally never eat here again. The service was terrible. There seemed to be employees around the dining area, but none would help out. Even worse, one employee was COLORING, yes, coloring, while diners looked around impatiently wondering how to order food and drinks. The food was subpar. For what it’s worth, we’ve been here and sat at the bar without ordering food and the service is unbearably slow for no notable reason.

    Obviously this establishment needs to stick to whiskey. Food was bland, lacked seasoning. My husband’s sandwich was cold. White bean dip had no flavor whatsoever and don’t get me started on the hush puppies that tasted like dried up paste. Server was very nice and apologetic.

    The buckaroo burger with bacon jam was SO good! The fries and salad were really good as well. The service was great! We weren’t sure on what to drink because my husband and I aren’t huge drinkers so we just explained what we liked and he knew exactly what to get us. Overall good experience.
