Mac and Cheese
Hot Chicken Sandwich
springer mountain chicken breast, slaw, comeback sauce, pickles, served with one side (grilled available)
Great food (we had chicken and sides...sides excellent, for hot chicken, spice up one level if you’re comparing it to most hot chicken in Nashville). Highly recommend.
Minor miscommunication after we were seated, but the hostess quickly made sure the issue was resolved. Biscuits and chicken were very good!
The Nashville hot chicken was delicious. Our waiter was very talkative and attentive. The fried pickles were amazing, too.
WC occupies the former Cru space, and seems a much better fit for Knoxville. Service was outstanding, and the drinks were excellent.
The hottest chicken ("clucking hot") was just right, and I love spicy food. Unlike Hattoie B's hottest chicken, which is almost inedibly hot, the clucking hot pushes the envelope on heat but still has great flavor. Never had better turnip greens in a restaurant ANYWHERE.
Food was subpar at best. Service was fairly slow which was odd considering the restaurant was very empty. Drinks weren't anything great either.
Incredible food, I mean great!! Fantastic, SUPER attentive service.
My whole party enjoyed what they ordered. My wife said this was the best overall meal she has had at a restaurant in a long time, and we eat out quite a bit. The service was great, and Monty, the general manager stopped by a few times to make sure everything was good. We will be back!
The food was awesome! Chicken was excellently cooked, extremely juicy and flavorful. The nachos could use an upgrade, but the fried chicken on top made it worth it. My husband and I split a 3 pc white meat and loved it! The only "negative" was the service was very slow the day we went, but I think it was a management issue, not with the server. They only had 2 servers managing the entire establishment on a decently busy Sunday. Our server was too overwhelmed with her current table load to do her job effectively, and my husband and I both being from the service industry thought the managers should have done a better job on staffing and scheduling for the day.
food was good, whoever fixed plates just needs to know the difference in the parts of a chicken. ordered all white, but got thigh and leg.
Close walk from our Hotel , my family enjoyed dinner
Good food and friendly wait staff. Social distancing better accomplished on side of restaurant away from bar area. Nice evening overall.
We went for our anniversary and is a very nice place. Chicken was tasty but only warm, not hot. Mac and cheese quite delicious. My fries were delicious but my husband’s were burnt. Overall a nice experience.
This place is great! The hot chicken has great flavor and heat, and the sides were outstanding. My husband said it was the best fried chicken he’d ever had.
The chicken was better than I expected someone could make wings or nachos in to! And the service was great!
Great experience at Wicked Chicken on Saturday night before Valentines Day. The Dunkel was tasty, the chicken was melt in your mouth and the derby pie was incredible. Jack our waiter was a real pro and took really good care of us. To top it all off, the GM came over and gave us coupons (10 bucks off) for the next time. Cool people, cool atmosphere in a super cool part of town...we would go back again it was awesome.
Service was great but restaurant seemed a little bit of a mess. Food was ok, chicken was not hot which was surprising for a HOT chicken place.
I love the simple menu. I had the Cobb salad and added chicken. It was heaven, and the specialty cocktails are unique and delicious. The staff made us feel welcome and important!
There was no spacing for COVID- 19 and I felt just a bit too tight with others. It almost felt unsafe if you were trying to say a good distance from others in an eating enviornment. There should have been a few tables left open.
Saw this new place on line so we thought we’d check it out. Online menu looked really good and reviews were pretty good. Because of road work in the area access to the place was nuts. Finally got that worked out and made our way in. Cool place and good service. Got a nice cold beer right away so checked out the menu. Not at all what we saw online. Extremely limited. Ended up with a chicken sandwich and the wife had chicken tenders. Nothing to write home about. Fast food quality meal. Might go back some day when and if they get established and offer some menu variety worth the parking hassle.
We were seated quickly. The waiter was nice. Our appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. Our meal took a bit longer due to our plates being sent to another table. We were pleased with the quality of the food as well as the quantity. Will definitely come back.
Absolutely delicious! We started with the fried pickles, nachos and wings... couldn’t pick a fave! Even the creamed corn and Mac and cheese are homemade from scratch. Excellent cocktails, too!
My overall experience was very enjoyable. I set a reservation just in case it was busy due to COVID as it was a business lunch. There was only one waitress there which was a bummer;however, she apologized and was super friendly. Our food came our warm and looked amazing. I ordered the Hot Chicken and Pimento Cheese Nachos. I would give the food item an 7 out of 10. The avocados tasted fresh, the chicken was good and my food was warm. However, there was not enough cheese or chicken for the amount of tortilla chips I was given. Definitely a great spot for lunch or dinner as they also offer curbside and delivery.
Great food and service on a Wednesday evening. Not too crowded, felt good about the social distancing.
Food was really good. It’s hot! And crispy and delicious. Sauces are house made and also very good. We’ll be back.
I wanted to like this place! The fried chicken was terrible - probably the worst I’ve ever had (too much breading, too greasy, the heat levels are too conservative). The fries are greasy to the point that they’re inedible. The lemonade was watered down and tasted nothing like lemonade - more like water with a splash of lemon. The macaroni and cheese was gritty. The creamed corn lacked flavor and needed salt.
We had a blast and the service/ food/ drinks were excellent
On par with Hattie B's and Helen's in Nashville, but a pretty big gap to Big Shakes in Franklin which is my favorite. The portion sizes were a bit skimpy but the tenders were very good, the greens and slaw were ok. The people were friendly and server was efficient. So, yeah - in my top 4, recommended.
Fantastic and very helpful staff and the food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
Well we thought we would give this place a try, turns out they have only been open a week, but part of a group of managed Knoxville restaurants. Our first surprise, was the menu on Open Table was not correct, and still the old establishments menu. We mentioned this to the server, more to make them aware, and she immediately offered us a free appetizer. She also brought over the manager Monty. He was super engaged and helpful, apologized more then needed. The food while maybe a bit limited in options, was outstanding. The wings are great, gotta try the bacon sauced wings! We did notice the garlic and pepper wings, were too salty.... but everything was delicious. We finished with the key lime pie.... as good as any in Florida we have ever had, outside of the keys. Overall, can’t say enough good things about the manager, and the staff. They comped our meal, and provided us discounts for our next visit. Best in class service by far! We will certainly be back!!!!
Great food, great restaurant group. If you can’t get to Nashville, go here. We tried everything and it was all delicious.
Food was great! Service excellent and the ambiance was very welcoming.
It was great! The manager went to every table to greet them as well.
The fried chicken was unseasoned and extremely greasy and heavily breaded. The sides were good. Probably won’t go back.
Awesome place with such amazing food. The service was great and so was our waitress!
I ordered the filet, which was good. It was served with what seemed like diner breakfast potatoes which were not a good combo. The wine was not great & the server really wasn’t able to make a recommendation. The atmosphere was nice, the service was attentive, the food was ok, the wine was not good.
Very nice ambiance and wonderful food
It was the perfect birthday brunch with. Good friend. I love the mimosa specials and the service is always great. I appreciate the crew at Cru doing the right thing by following protocol and keeping people safe. For me it’s a safe place go to during the pandemic
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the service was very good. We had a hand tossed pizza for an appetizer and shrimp and cheese grits, both were very delicious. We will be back!
Food was great as always, and we enjoyed some delicious drinks before happy hour ended. Alecia was the absolute best waitress ever!
We dined outside on a Sunday night. The area was quiet but charming. The food was excellent. They also have half price all bottles of wine, very good selection. It was a really, fun, relaxing dinner! The waitress was awesome :)
Thankful to have a reservation for 7 on game day. We ordered a variety of items at our table and everyone enjoyed their meals. Most folks were dining on the patio, so the inside was pretty quiet. The service was a bit slow, but we felt they were a little light-staffed. I would definitely visit again.
