White Maple Café
Excellent place for lunch in Ridgewood. Interesting menu; well prepared food, quiet relaxed ambiance.
Always a great night. Great food, great staff!!!
I love this place. Healthy & delicious! I love there maple vinegarette salad & sweet potatoes.
Had dinner Saturday night. We were not rushed and it was a lovely evening. I had the seared scallops and succotash which was outstanding. Best scallops I may ever have had. My husband had shrimp and grits and enjoyed his dinner as well. It was an all around great experience.
It's a cozy place with great food and wonderful cheerful attention from the staff. The food is simply prepared in the best way. Fresh, tasty and well seasoned. We go often and are never disappointed. Go, you'll love it!
Excellent food in a wonderful space with the friendliest staff!!
Tuna poke bowl was marvelous and our server was friendly, accommodating, attentive but not “in your face.” Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing ladies lunch. I will definitely be going back!
Poke bowl amazingly delicious!
Wonderful meal! The Tuna Poke` was especially delicious. The Shrimp and Grits had just a little kick to it and the grits were nice and creamy. Fish tacos, the Salmon and the Strip Steak all were really tasty as well. We will definitely be going back 😀👍👍
Great flavors, attentive service! Nice decor and ambiance! Will return
Valentine's Day menu was excellent though pricey. Atmosphere is rustic and sophisticated, server was very friendly. Would recommend a visit!
Delicious meal and great service.
Very causal, the host wore a jeans shirt. Food was good. Felt like a kind of hippy vibe.
I almost hesitate to write a recommendation of praise. I'm just afraid this wonderful restaurant will get a little out of reach. But praise it i must. It fires on all cylinders; great menu, quality preparation, solid/attentive service, and a very comfortable environment for casual dining.
Service was excellent! Food was delicious and it was nice to be offered either still or sparkling without a price tag attached. We chatted for a extended period of time and they did not rush us out the door.
Solid restaurant. Party of 4 shared a flatbread and slalad for apps and ordered 4 different entrees. Bottom line...all plates placed on the table were just perfect. The curry was sublime. The short rib impossibly plump and juicy. And the list goes on. This will be our new regular. Well done White Maple!
Restaurant week menu...great food, great service, very large portions. Definitely recommend.
Charming little restaurant with great selections for brunch.
I was really impressed with the variety on the menu. There was something to please every one of the 5 picky people in my family. The portions were nicely sized. We did order quite a few appetizers but we usually do and we brought home leftovers.
Went to White Maple Cafe with friends for lunch during restaurant week. Found out they were only participating for dinner. We placed our orders and were chatting. After a while our waiter came to the table to tell us our order was lost in the kitchen and they would be comping the entire meal.
I ordered the yellowfin tuna poke bowl and it was excellent. The waiter then went as far to say if I didn’t like it I could replace it with something else.
Not only was the food excellent, but the customer service was over and above.
We will definitely return and recommend this cafe to others.
Very nice little cafe. Healthy food choices. Delicious appetizers. Service was very attentive.
30th Anniversary. Very nice.
Ok food. Terrible service. Boring atmosphere with elevator music that nearly put us to sleep.
This restaurant never disappoints. A local gem for Ridgewood residents. The food has always been delicious. My go to meal for lunch is the tomato bisque and 1/2 sandwich or salad. And the tasty popcorn on the table is wonderful. The service staff is friendly, warm and very attentive!!!
This is a lovely restaurant in downtown Ridgewood with some excellent dishes; however, my most recent dinner there was a bit of a disappointment - the food was only lukewarm when it was brought out, and this really detracted from the usually delicious dishes. This has not been my experience in the past, so I will be back, and hopefully it will not happen again.
Creative menu but limited but still something for everyone. We have been there twice and will definitely
go back, worth a try.
Everything was great from atmosphere, the food and service. Portions are very generous for breakfast...only reason I did not give 5* was the food was a bit too salty. Rather add salt if needed.
WMC has lost its luster. Ordered the NY Strip N.A. fit was sub par in terms of quality, taste and presentation. Enjoyed the Ricotta Board app, but overall this is now the second time I’ve left disappointed. Won’t be returning anytime soon...
First time for brunch! Awesome place! Service was on point and the servers could not have been more gracious. We loved the food ... the huevos rancheros were yummy and the eggs done to perfection. The veggie bowl was an extraordinary treat as was the omelette ... can’t wait to go back and have another choice! We tasted the coffee and looked at one another ... unusually good coffee too! Highly recommend it!
Fabulous meal! It was our first time here and we’ll definitely be back. Loved the atmosphere, great service and delicious food. The waiter was nice to mention all starters are half price 5-6pm.
My family and I enjoy going to White Maple for our family dinners, or a friendly brunch. It’s BYOB, however if you wish to have wine and forget to bring your bottle you can purchase one, reasonably priced. The food is always fresh, with healthy ingredients. We started out with the deviled eggs. These deviled eggs had a twist, and up my alley which matches my name. They were guacamole deviled eggs topped with a chip. We’ve probably been there a hand full of times. I finally decided to order the Goffle chicken and it was delicious, a big platter enough to have a box to take home. My son ordered the kid sliders with yummy homemade fries and my husband, the short ribs (no bone). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The Korean Roasted Cauliflower was very very spicy - no warning on the menu
The House-made Veggie Burger was so dried we couldn't eat it
The soup was great - on the special menu
The Panko-crusted Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon wasn't made well done ,the way we asked for ,so they took the plate, heat the salmon with the sauce on top of it ,for few more minutes and return it to the table a bit dry and burn
The whole thing took them a long time
Overall - very disapointment
Delicious food and great gluten free and vegan options! Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is beautiful.
High quality food. Nice quiet atmosphere. Enjoyed it very much
Enjoyed our lunch very much & our server was very personable! It was our first time there & would definitely go back.
Very cute place, great food and service. I came in from two hours away for a meeting. I will definitely come back if I’m anywhere near in the area - or maybe a road trip will be necessary.
lovely restaurant, great service, particularly for early sunday. Avocado toast was just ok. seemed more like spread than actual chunks of avocado. Good coffee and really enjoyed the sweet popcorn. Will return.
We were extremely disappointed. We ordered the Shishito peppers to start and although we really liked the concept, served with onions and sausage, the dish was way over salted. We ordered the spicy seafood curry which was not spicy (even though the waiter made a point to get us a carafe of water in anticipation of the spiciness) and had a faint coconut flavor. The dish was bland and lacked any curry flavor. The other dish we ordered was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits were swimming in a red sauce that was extremely bland. The ambiance and service was fine. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed and will not be returning.
Went with friends and it was delicious. Waiter was great and recommended certain dishes too us. We sat right down, and did not have to wait for our table.
It was good but not great. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.
