We had a booking for Father's Day via open table. On arrival we were told that the booking was an error and that they didn't have tables available. Having no choice, we sat in the bar area even though the restaurant was pretty much empty until we left. There were 3 servers, 2 of which were indifferent and snobbish and made us feel unwelcomed. The food was good but the experience on the whole was a put-off.

Once again, my wife and I enjoyed delicious meals at the White Lion. It was lovely and quiet inside the restaurant as we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary !

Great food & welcoming friends staff made this pleasant visit. We did experience a blackout but that was soon sorted. Toilet could have been a bit cleaner. Felt sorry for the music entertainment about to start as we was leaving (we’d finished meal & had to get home) as hardly anyone left and n the venue.

Lovely meal and good value for money however there was about 6 young kids kicking a leather football around the inside of the pub and outside and hit me in the back which in turn ruined a lovely evening the parent was too busy looking at her phone No problem with kids being in a pub as long as they behave when your spending £30 for pub grub you expect to be able to enjoy it without worrying if a heavy leather football is going to hit you or knock your drink and food off the table

Very accommodating at short notice to party of 12, plus 2 dogs and a few children! 🤣 Food came out hot, and all at the same time, In a good timeframe. Staff were very patient and accomodating, and food tasted great. Will definitely return!
