   Excellent food great service. Love the roast sharing platter. Only slight niggle is the price of dessert think it’s a bit expensive. Odd because I think the price of the roast is good value

   Booked in for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday. On arrival we were greeted and seated very efficiently in one of the ground floor snugs with menu`s duly brought to our table.

   Excellent service & superb food. 4* for food as the mushy peas were too peppery. As mother always said you can always add more condiments but you can’t take it out. Overall great place to dine & socialise.

   Not a very friendly welcome! Waited for service to order food! Staff not very professional! Waited for our sauces to come! Eaten half of the meal before they arrived. Same if the meals hot others warm! Not good enough!

   Waited a long time for food, nearly 3/4 hour, chicken with mozzarella was served in a inappropriate dish making it almost impossible to cut into, had to remind the server about chips. Table was so sticky, salt and pepper were stuck to the table. Could t attract anyone's attention to pay, and it wasn't that it was busy,they were busy talking.

   This was the first time we had eaten here in many years. As my wife is a coeliac, we have to discover establishments that provide gluten free food, and the White Lion ticked every box. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be back.

   Lovely day with delicious Sunday roast and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy time catching up with friends. All staff so helpful and friendly. Perfect day!
