I drove all the way to the restaurant just to find out they were closed. Got there a little after 11pm. The hours on OpenTable & Google both say 4am.
A hidden gem in the area! Service was very personal, the staff is proud of what they serve. The food presentation was great and it was tasty
On a whim we decided to try some Moroccan food! It was absolutely delicious! The spices dance on your tongue! Mohamed, was so kind, and attended to our needs and made excellent recommendations. We ate until we were ready to burst, and still had room for the excellent Baklava. (home made on site). We were celebrating a birthday, and after everything, Mohamed came out with a delicious cake--on the house! We were unable to eat another bite, so he wrapped it up and sent to home with us. The ambiance is lovely, the food delicious, and the attention by the wait staff excellent! A must try! (PS. It is BYOB!)
Delicious, interesting dishes. The tabbouleh, Kefta tajine, chicken tajine, pita, and baklava were all excellent. Sitting outside was pleasant, the hanging flowers diminished the impact of the busy street beyond. We’ll be back to try other items on the menu.
They were short staffed and service was slow (the whole world is short staffed so be patient if you choose to go out for dinner :) Food was excellent (chicken kabob platter & falafel). At the end of our meal the waiter apologized for the service and said our meal was on the house. Was not necessary however that's smart customer service! We will definitely be back.
We happened upon this little storefront restaurant and were able to get a table outside. We weren’t sure what to expect but were greeted by the most friendly, welcoming and helpful staff - and the food was fantastic. It’s a wonderful family run restaurant and the passion the family has for sharing their amazing food is apparent. We highly recommend and absolutely will be back.
The service and food was excellent. Everything was freshly made but it was worth the wait.
We stumbled across this gem, from the service to the fantastic lamb and desserts. The service that we received was top tier. I will be coming back. What are you waiting for get there? Oh, and the coffee is so good, lol warning you'll be up for a while
The food and service were excellent. We sat outside and enjoyed the the atmosphere.
We were told the restaurant was a BYOB. When we saw the bill, there was a $5.00 per person fee for serving the wine. A $10.00 bottle of wine cost us an extra $20.00. No mention of this was on the menu. Although the food was good, we won't be drinking wine there if we ever return.
Very small place. Crowded. Delicious food. But overpriced a bit.
Food was very delicious & authentic and the service was excellent!
We tried White House Tajine on Friday evening and had a really lovely time. A delicious appetizer (mezze) was followed by wonderful hearty harira soups. Two of us ordered the tajine (chicken and shrimp) and both entrees were simply excellent. The third enjoyed delicious lamb chops. We loved the restaurant, and our server was great! Helpful and sweet. We are definitely coming back. We took wonderful photos of our beautiful food, but for some reason i can’t access and add them to this review.
Excellent, authentic Moroccan cuisine in the neighborhood. The slow-cooked lamb shank was outstanding and well worth the wait. The appetizers of spiced carrots, hummus and tabbouleh were all fresh, along with warm pita. Outside table seating was very nice and not too noisy. We'll be returning, for sure.
BE CAREFUL...The waiter thought we ordered an appetizer but we actually didn't. We just asked about it. That was okay because it was good but the menu made it seem that it would be $14 for 2 people and when the bill arrived it was actually $24. Maybe our misunderstanding? He was not a native English speaker so we just assumed we didn't communicate clearly.
We each ordered a Gyro for $12. He asked if we wanted french fries. We said no. He said he would bring salads (which we assumed were included) Although the menu said $12 for Gyros we were charged $12 each plus $5 extra each for the meat selected to go inside the Gyro (although a meat charge wasn't stated on the menu) and we were also charged for fries, which we didn't order. We tried to talk to the waiter about it but he made himself scarce after dropping the check and all of a sudden didn't understand our speech. We decided to just pay and leave. Food was good but I'll never go back because it is clearly an attempt at a rip off. Our bill was $63 for one appetizer and 2 Gyros.
Food was amazing. Very authentic. The owner/chefs are so personable and friendly. Very relaxed with a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend and we will be back. Karen and David
The food was amazing. The staff and chef are good natured and friendly. Highly recommend the food.
Amazing, authentic food.
White House Tajine is a gem of a location with outstanding food and service. It is family owned and operated with much attention to customers. We enjoyed our experience and will be happily back for more. The kefta grill and chicken tajine were outstanding.
You must go or get take out. The menu is short; but delicious. And it does have something for everyone. Delicious Moroccan...chicken tajine was awesome, the "spicy carrots" I've never had at any other Middle Eastern restaurant....but they've got pizza & burgers for the kids/unadventurous. Service is impeccable & friendly. The owner talked to us at length about what we were eating & how he prepared it. He made suggestions & we loved it all.
Coffee was Middle Eastern blend & EXCELLENT.
The restaurant is small & all booths. But take out or dine it. Give it a try for lunch or dinner. I'm going back for sure.
We had a great dinner at White House Tajine! The food is super authentic and the owner is friendly and makes sure you are well taken care of. Don’t miss out on the Moroccan Mezze appetizer.
We had a really nice dine in experience. The staff was very friendly. Our main entrees took a little bit of a wait but everything was made fresh so it’s understandable so we enjoyed sharing our appetizers as we waited. By sharing we tried a variety from carrot salad, Moroccan soup, lamb couscous, and lamb Tajine , with fresh breads. I had mint tea and my husband had a pineapple drink that were also very good. Their homemade baklava for dessert was also excellent. Will definitely return.
The food is very good. Would definitely eat there again. The owners are very friendly and personable. The atmosphere needs a little updating. The decor is busy and not quite a cohesive theme but the business is new so I'm sure in a few months it'll be ironed out. Overall, it's a nice local business with quality food at a good value.
This restaurant is run by a lovely family that lives in the same building. They were so welcoming, especially the owner and father. The decor of the restaurant, family ambiance and location all helped contribute to a cozy, unique, kind of odd dining experience. I would definitely recommend it. They have traditional dishes like the Tajine or the Cous Cous, but also more Americanized dishes like fries and Gyros. We tried both and were not disappointed by either style.
