Sat outside at table at back of garden. Not too noisy, even with the DJ. Friendly and attentive service. Pub dining and drinks menus - one main course and one rose wine not available. Good value 2 for £12 cocktails. Fish and chips and rump steak well-presented and cooked nicely. Sensible portion sizes. A good place to go for a no-nonsense Friday night pub meal.

The two bar staff were good but they had a lot to do! The food was disappointing. I had gammon, egg and chips. The gammon was very salty and tough and there was quite a lot of grease on my plate. My partner had fish and chips and the fish wasn’t great. Chips were okay. A DJ started playing at 8 and set up in the bar next to where we were eating - we hadn’t been warned, which made conversation impossible.

We really enjoyed our meal, both opting for a pie which was filling & delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was very light and yummy. Great value & we will definetly be back soon to try out more of the menu.

Booked for five for lunch. Given it was a Sunday, we were surprised that the dining room was empty apart from two other tables. Things started well, served by a personable young man wearing sports gear who took our drinks and food orders. Lunch took about 30 minutes to arrive, a couple of the party had opted for roast beef and were disappointed only to receive 2 slices each, but the other meals were of a good size and quality. No one checked back to see if everything was okay with our food, and the plates sat waiting to be cleared for a good 25 minutes, at which point we were told that they would be back to take the desert and coffee orders, but no one came. After 30 minutes we cut our losses and I went and asked for the bill from the bar. We decided to pay the discretionary 12.5% service added to the bill even though it hadn’t really been earned. Not sure I’d recommend.

I went with my teen son, to celebrate my birthday. We had the evening 3 course meal offer for £22,50. Everything was brought in time, hot, looking very good and tasting amazing. The service was excellent. Thank you very much we enjoyed very much, we will be back soon.

The food was prepared well, it would be a really nice place to come in the summer. Very limited parking. A good range of food and drinks.
