   First time visit since refurbishment and having read very mixed reviews, I was apprehensive as eating with 2 friends. Made very welcome and order taken promptly by Tia. Food served in an efficient manner and was lovely and hot - fish in beer batter was crisp and not greasy, similar standard for the other two meals. Despite it being the first day of Lent we all had chocolate desserts and weren’t disappointed! Thank you, will be back!

   A spur of the moment booking. Pleasantly surprised by the greetings and ambiance. Food was really good, a nice medley of vegetables and the meats were well cooked. Presentation was very good

   My local , easy to book , friendly staff . Plenty of choice for food /drink . Even though it was a Saturday night and almost full , main meal came in good time .

   Lacklustre service, no ice for drinks as ice machine broken (again!) dried up chicken, friends pie pastry burnt and dried up, no gluten free menu for me as coeliac. Will not be back!

    First visit for a long time as moved away from area,We arranged with some long time seen friends,and this was 1/2 way for all. Food was not like it used to be,Was not told when sitting down No Lasagna on menu my wife’s favourite,so settled for Scampi but it-was very cooked & hard.My Cheese & bacon burger was ok.Our friends unfortunately didn’t make a comment as not to upset the Evening. We never complained as we didn’t want to dampen the Evening we were trying to enjoy the get together. The Staff were polite,But it’s just these minor issues that can be rectified.

    Met with friends for a lunchtime meal. Liked the fact their was a lunch menu with a good choice including meals and wraps. Food freshly cooked to order. Very pleased to be offered a drink for £1. A nice idea 👍

    Soup was served almost cold Food did not live up to description on menu. Some ingredients missed out of meals and different types of salad garnish served with the meals on our table. All a bit mismatched Overall quite disappointing.

    On one of the coldest days of the year we were looking forward to a lovely festive lunch in warm and cosy surroundings. No chance, the place was so cold everyone was eating in their big coats and i had another coat wrapped round my legs. Non-one apologised or explained and just shrugged. The service was slow as there weren't enough staff. When the food came it was warm and reasonable pub grub, but rather uninspiring. The vegetables were overcooked frozen peas and some frozen chips but i did enjoy the steak and ale pie. As we were leaving we asked about the heating situation again and were told there had been a system failure - it would have been nice to have been told that earlier and given the opportunity to cancel.

    The food overall was lovely and had been plated in an attractive way. The servers were busy, but they were also attentive to diners' needs. However, I had a tiny jug of custard which was made worse by only being half full; I asked the server if it was possible to have some more and she giggled, then walked away. In the end I left the half of my dessert as crumble without custard is not nice. I think was makes me more upset was when we ordered dessert I even said can I have extra custard and I'm happy to pay a surcharge for this.

    The food was tasty, but not quite warm enough for my husband, so he sent it back. The roast potatoes were cooked in some kind of fat.that didn't appeal, but the roasted parsnips were delicious. The choice of tables was a bit limited, although we had booked (early). The staff were trying hard.

    Service was pretty good but food is not great. Used to be freshly made on site. Now all tastes like it came out of a packet. The cheese starters were both bland, chips were oven chips and the cookie dessert tasted cheap and nasty with no biscoff I could find and we both left most of them. Staff and new owners are clearly trying and there is a good drinks menu. Will return but for drinks only.

    Extremely slow service, food took over an hour and had to keep going to find staff to take drinks orders. Food wasn’t great when it eventually came either. Hopefully teething problems that will be resolved!

    We visited The White Hart as a party of 6. The choice on menu was great including the kids menu. Dinners were delicious & huge & a great variety of vegetables too. Deserts were just as inviting too! The staff were very welcoming & the pub was very clean. It was also reasonably priced so very affordable as a nice treat. We will definitely be regulars. Thank you 😊

    Surroundings pleasant. Well decorated . Menu choice good but we wanted the Sunday lunch. It was a big disappointment. The belly pork was extremely greasy much more than I've ever had before. The green vegetables were very tough. The creamed potatoes were sloppy.The roast potatoes were from the freezer and not well cooked. The stuffing was burnt and stuck to the pan. Service was good and friendly. We will not be returning.

    Only 2nd day of reopening so to be fair staff were learning on the job. They didn’t have our booking when we arrived which was annoying start, but fortunately a couple were just leaving so we had their table but behind us was a screaming baby. Don’t understand parents who think it’s ok? Menu was typical pub grub which was disappointing as menu similar to across the road - would think they would come up with something different rather than directly compete. The batter on my fish was dry and not much fish inside! My husband’s looked slightly better. Chips were overcooked and looked leftover from an earlier fry? I did tell the waitress who asked had I enjoyed it - could see I had left the chips - she didn’t apologise or say she would speak to chef??? £54 for two fish& chips, bottle of house wine and one dessert ( which was frozen & defrosted, just about) will not be returning, very disappointed as we are local in village and had much anticipated the reopening.
