   Excellent food one of the best Sunday roasts I've had would recomend to anyone also dog friendly but give advance warning for seating area for dogs.

   My second recent dining experience here. Both times we had good food, it was warm, and quiet enough to chat with each other, even though plenty of other people there. The service wasn't very quick as they were short-staffed, but the staff were very friendly and obviously trying to work quickly. Varied menu - would definitely go back

   We had great food & great service at The White Hart. There is a varied menu & also a good value set menu. Food was hot & tasty. Good glass of Merlot.

    Well what a shame. The food was outstanding but the service was very poor.We arrived stood at the bar for at least 10 mins with no acknowledgement.I asked if our booked table was ready to be seated..'yeah over there w are just getting it ready' was the reply. 5 minutes later the 4 of us were seated. No cutlery, no condiments t the table. A guy came over to take our drinks order, 20 mins later a guy came over to take our food order but we had to ask where our drinks were. The reply ''oh I will go and check' came back to the table 'sorry we have lost your drinks order can I take your order again' Three of us ordered Steaks. The food arrived, our cutlery was then dropped in a pile in the middle of the table, there was only one steak knife...we had to ask for 2 more...still no condiments. The food was outstanding, the Steaks were very tasty. We were then asked if we would like more drinks. My husband asked for a coffee the reply was' the coffee machine is now turned off' at 8.55pm omg! We we never asked if we would like to see the dessert menu.We left just after that as we were so shocked at the service we had received. What a let down. This is not what you expect on a Saturday evening. I think we will try The Bull, across the road next time.
