We met friends for lunch. It was quiet enough to talk and we all enjoyed our meal.
I have been a customer of The White Dog, Wayne since it opened and have always had a great time and a delicious meal!! It's my "go to" restaurant for any occasion!
White dog Wayne continues to impress. Another great night of food atmosphere and service.
Just visiting for work and was encouraged to try this. Loved it! The dogs everywhere, the food was delicious! Service was excellent!
The service and food were very good. However, the tables are placed far, far too close together. Even in modest tones, you can hear every word uttered by those at tables either side of you. Tables jammed in closer than an NYC bistro
Very pleasant venue for lunch. Great ambience especially the "garden room".
We were greeted by a very happy and energetic staff, the food that followed was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We went for a Saturday night dinner out. The cocktail- lucky lady I think, was not sweet as asked. It was too sour. The hummus was very good. I had salmon and asked it to be prepared well done- cooked through! It came out mushy and looked raw in thickest part of fish! Sent back! So very noisy that I had a headache from the place. Waiter was low talker so couldn’t hear a word he said. I just said yes in case he asked if we want bread- which we never got
Won’t go back! Cost $115 for two
Had cereal at home:(
Food was excellent. Try the shrimp and grits!
It can be very noisy. Even though I reserve, table is never ready for us
Excellent in all ways as usual!
Muscles were tough and poorly cooked. Cobb Salad had these inedible structures that I later found out were pork rinds. Disgusting.
Our waitress was amazing! Tentative and sociable!
It was good, but extremely pricey for what you got.
Lovely place. Made a reservation for 1pm and it was very crowded. We were seated quickly. We enjoyed our meal and the waiter was very attentive. Overall it was a delightful experience.
It was very nice!
Food was great and so was the service!
We sat in the Garden room and it was bright and cheerful and felt less like a restaurant and more like we had been invited to someone's home for dinner. We have some specific dietary needs and all of this was happily accommodated. Food was delicious. Loved all the paintings, prints and drawings of so many canines. We will definitely be back.
I planned an early Saturday supper; the new Spring/Summer menu was available. The Lyonnaise salad was spectacular as was the Sazerac cocktail.
Went here for a birthday celebration. When we arrived at the table there was a greeting card from the management. Very thoughtful!
Looking toward summer, we all had salads and they were excellent. Cobb salad topped with salmon was outstanding, as was the Caesar salad topped with shrimp. An added bonus: we all love the bloody marys here!
Although it was still pretty cool, there were folks eating outside; nice to know that was offered fairly early in the season.
All in all, a huge success for a birthday celebration!
Excellent food and service in a rustic, eclectic armosphere.
From the friendly greeting when I arrived first, to the delicious cocktail and food, the experience was great.
The decor is always enchanting, the planters on the yet as opened deck were breathtaking. I really enjoyed the pulled salmon salad and Kennett Square mushroom soup. Have visited all 3 sites; University City, Wayne and Haverford several times and they never disappoint!
Lovely as always--that's why I keep going back! (My companion had never been there, and she loved it, too.)
Jason was wonderful! Very attentive and provided great service and was well knowledgeable in the menu! White dog knows how to make a birthday special. From greeting-to departure, a great experience!
The atmosphere was lovely. Service great. But would say the food just average.
This was a very nice business lunch with plenty of time to talk and discuss and delicious food. I had the Reuben which was perfect for lunch.
We had a great time tonight celebrating my birthday! We invited two friends of ours, a couple from the North Jersey/NYC area and they LOVED it!! It was their first time here!! For drinks, Dad and I had soda, Mom had wine, and our friends had coffee. For appetizers, we had bread, and the adults had the Caramelized Onion Hummus, with seasonal garnish, grilled pita, and crispy lavash. They really enjoyed it! I had the Kennett Square Mushroom Soup with snipped chives and the truffle crème fraîche, which is to die for! For the main courses, Dad had the Thai Steak and Noodle Salad with marinated filet tips, udon noodles, julienned vegetables, avocado, frisee, arugula, peanuts, and Thai vinaigrette. Mom and one of my friends had the Verlasso Salmon with fregula sada salad, marinated cherry tomatoes, and mushroom broth, which they both enjoyed. My other friend had the pasta primavera from the vegetarian menu; it was yummy! I ordered the stuffed shells with Kennett Square mushrooms, sauteed spinach, lemon ricotta, sherry cream, and grana padan. For dessert, we brought our own chocolate cake and we had it with chocolate ice cream with a dog biscuit cookie on top. It was delicious! Thanks White Dog Cafe, for making my birthday meal so wonderful and delicious, and for making our friends fell welcome! We are looking forward to coming back again soon!
I must say that our waitress Hannah was phenomenal ! We were seated in the first room in comfortable wing back chairs,a wonderful table for 2. The only thing I could ask for improvement is the lighting.it was somewhat hard to see the menu and very difficult to see the bill. I know that there are quite a few large old lanterns in that room but our table seem to be a little more in the dark.
The food was delicious and the dessert was to die for. I think every time we have come to White Dog we have had a great meal and experience.
Delicious food and great service as always! We had burgers that were yummy and the lamb rigatoni. Everything was awesome.
Food, wine and service was great! My favorite place!
Celebrating a low key birthday brunch. Restaurant gave him a birthday card, everyone wished him a happy birthday, and presented him a nice birthday dessert. It was low key with no singing! It was perfect!! Our meals for brunch were excellent! The service and ambience were great. The noise level was about average to slightly above average. I’ve been in much louder restaurants before. We’d most definitely return again.
This was my first time. Excellent tasty food. A hair pricey. Service a hair slow. Food came cold but was redone immediately. Love the decor. Wife had special price fix dinner which was a good deal. Loved the neat salad and Salmon. Desserts very good. I will go back.
We had a great time and our servers were excellent. We were able to dine outside which was also nice as I’ve noticed it can get noisy when dining inside. Will definitely be back!
Great food, location, and drinks. Had a great time celebrating my 25th Birthday brunch with my family!
Great atmosphere. Love all the details that go with the White Dog theme. Friendly and engaging staff from the minute you walk through the door. Waitress was attentive without smothering.
The buffalo chicken sandwich was a lunch special prepared well, great flavor. Parmesan, truffle fries were wonderful. Truffle was not heavy handed. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. Can’t wait to go again!
Last time at White Dog we really enjoyed our dishes and experience. It had been awhile and we were eager to come back. I will start off by saying we love the decor and all the pictures of dogs always put you in a great mood. The service was great I must say. We sat in the back room. It was a bright room that was unexpectadly loud. It makes it hard to converse with the people across the table. As for the food, all 4 of us got something different. The pasta was bland. Chicken was over cooked and definitely not worth the price tag. Trout was probably the best dish but my Dad is also very easy to please. The steak was gritty and arrived to the table cool along with the fries. We don’t like to complain and send food back but I did feel this required a honest review. We all left very disappointed and won’t be returning to White Dog again.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He was very personable.
We went for restaurant week.
Prefixed menu. We were 3 people so we ordered all 3 items in both courses. Salad and soup were excellent. Both Pastas (pierogies & stuffed shells) were dry and overcooked. So disappointed. The salmon was good.
Fun, exciting, entertaining and a good feeling overall. Bar has energy and a great place to meet friends. Food is inventive and tasty. Our waiter was excellent. Thank you Matt.
