   I had not realized that the reservation fell on Penn's graduation day. However, although the Dog was busy, we were on time and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful in answering questions about menu items and in keeping coffee cups filled. I had the very tasty carrot and ginger bisque followed by strawberry shortcake French toast, sweet and creamy, so that ordering desert was unnecessary. My wife lthought that the the mushroom soup was delicious and enjoyed her dish featuring scrambled eggs. Our food arrived promptly and at proper temperature, suggesting that the restaurant kitchen was well prepared for the graduation day onslaught. I have one complaint. My bare wooden chair was uncomfortable—too hard, too low, and too shallow.

   Food and service were both nice. Banana bread was a highlight! Bar was noisy kinda close to our table. And bathrooms were extremely small and not very clean. Very happy to be able to make a reservation and be seated promptly.

   Really wonderful experience. We went for a graduation celebration. They were so accommodating, changing our 2 tables for 5 to a table for 10 the day of. All around great experience.

   Made a reservation for Saturday at 1:30 pm not realizing it was Penn Alumni weekend with graduation on Monday! Seated promptly, great service and extraordinary quality from great brunch menu with large selection! Crowded and very busy restaurant that maintained service with a smile and stellar food quality! Our 35th year selecting the White Dog when in University City.

   A member of our party was running late so we called only 10 min before our reservation and they happily moved it to a later time. Very accommodating including dietarily and the decor is great

   Everything was great, but the large tables near us had people in conversational screaming. I couldn’t hear a thing the waitress was trying to say. It was probably a function of being graduation weekend and the lower floor parlor being a cozy space. Besides that, the food, service, and ambience were terrific.

   Food was disappointing, poor quality. Service was excellent which helped to make up for food. Bun on burger was slightly stale, fries were cold , soggy and dripping with oil, tomatoes was mealy

   We enjoyed our brunch. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The only big drawback was the restrooms are down, very steep stairs and there are no accessible restrooms for the restaurant

    Food and overall ambience was fine. Service was not. We were rushed to order, dinner arrived less than 10 minutes after getting appetizers, server argued about a drink order that was clearly incorrect by looking at it. Said “ are you asking me to replace this?” Was clearing dishes glasses before dessert menu which seemed like she didn’t want to offer. When she brought the check told us “you can exit thru the back door”. There definitely was an exit door and perhaps they offer that to anyone in that room, however It did not come off like that. We all had fish entrees, well prepared but so rushed it Was just not enjoyable
