Loved it! Waiter was great. My Caesar salad was delicious, and my boyfriend’s burger was delicious. My apple cider mocktail was also perfect, and my boyfriend liked his beer. The only thing we didn’t like was the truffle fries— a little over done.
We always enjoy the White Dog . Love the waitresses, you do an excellent job in training & they are so pleasant. Good food & the noice control is great - mix crowd & you can actually hear your dinner companions.
It was very nice. Staff were great. Didn’t rush us at all
Superb as always!
We had a great time. Just wish that had a baby changing station in the super large bathrooms!
The WHITE DOG still has a strong bark!
Service was most pleasant and competent. Food was generally excellent especially the hummus appetizer and scallops entree.
Atmosphere is most enjoyable and bright with the wonderful dog portraits everywhere.
My only negative is that some of the tables are too close-eg my party of 2 was right on top of a very loquacious high volume party of 4.
Other than this, it was a great time.
We had a delicious dinner. The setting is really beautiful...and different. Dog paintings, statues, etc. everywhere. It was memorable.
i wouldn’t recommend to anymore , food wasn’t good and wasn’t worth the money. save your money and go else where
Tables are very close to on another. Can hear everyone’s conversations
Business lunch sitting in the bar area. Great service. Tacos and two salads, everyone was pleased with their meals.
Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Food was delicious and service impeccable. All in all a delightful experience.
We took my mother in law to white dog for a birthday lunch. Our entrees were good but her omelette was way too salty for her taste. She told the waitress and they did not take it off the bill even though she barely ate any of itZ. They did however bring a free piece of cake to celebrate her birthday.
Decor is awesome service was great !! Food was ok. A few items we ordered came out warm instead of hot. And it is a little pricey 150 for lunch for three with no alcohol was a little on the high side. Needless to say this will be a once in awhile place.
We arrived early hoping to get a seat at the bar for happy hour but that did not happen so instead we were seated for dinner. The oysters appetizer although expensive were delicious. My wife had the Halibut which was very light, flaky and cooked to perfection. I had the scallops that were absolutely delicious. The only thing we did not care for was the “dirty vodka martini” but they do have a full list of handcrafted cocktails.
I highly recommend that you visit the White Dog Cafe in Haverford next time you are in the mood for a tasty meal.
It must be a policy of the restaurant to sit two women in a dark corner or by a bus station. I was in there twice within 3 days and the same thing happened. It is unkind and ignorant. I am not going back. Stupid hostesses, nice wait staff.
We usually have great experiences here. This past Sunday was an exception. The hostess was not communicative about why we were waiting. The food missed the mark for the first time. We will go back but not soon.
We were a family birthday celebration of 6 adults and 2 kids. It was a very busy Saturday night. Mushroom soup was wonderful, as usual. Short rib pot pie was tasty but not what I expected. My son-in-law ordered the Thai beef and noodle salad which was more lettuce than expected. All flavors were good/great and peanut butter crunch dessert was the best!
Ask for the specials!!! The food is outstanding, nothing over done
I eat lunch here frequently with friends and it is always a very pleasant experience. Yesterday all 3 of us had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which were absolutely yummy. Recommend requesting a booth in front room as they are much more comfortable than tables and chairs
We always have a great time at the White Dog - especially on date night. It was ridiculously crowded and busy on Friday, glad I made reservations.
Had the spicy lamb bolanase. Was exceptional and the flavors pop and not overpowering. Spinach was excellent combo mixture. The presentation met the satisfaction. Well done chef!
We went to celebrate a birthday. The food and service were wonderful. This is a favorite place of ours!
Chicken and sautéed vegetables (kale, mushrooms and butternut squash) was out of this world!
First time at this location. Beautiful decor, just like the University City location. I love that they have a special vegetarian/vegan menu. Enjoyed the food, especially the carrot soup on a cold night! The service was friendly.
Our server Erica was fabulous and the food was delicious!
We come here frequently for business meetings, and it is always a pleasure.
We had the lunch specials - friend oyster sandwich and turkey salad sliders.
Thank you for the great service! Our server didn't interrupt us, but kept refilling our drinks and I truly appreciated that.
Lovely restaurant, great food! The only downside was that although we were there 10 minutes before our reservation time, we had to wait 10 minutes past it to be seated, and then only after I asked the hostess about it.
First time at White Dog for brunch. Loved it!! The service was great and even though there seemed to be a wait, they allowed us to linger at our table.
Loved White Dog in Haverford. Once again, lovely decor for White Dog. Arrived for brunch at 11:45am. Perfect timing, as it was a mad house when we left at 1:15pm. Parking available earlier.
The arugula beet salad was a delicious starter for 2. Loved the avocado BLT. Each ingredient was fresh and delicious, which made the entire sandwich scrumptious. The truffle fries were seasoned perfectly! The coffee was brewed wonderfully and we loved the house mini cakes that were complimentary.
Brunch menu limited, pancakes were terrible, over easy egg was not cooked(white raw), coffee was lukewarm, potatoes had way too much garlic, apple caramel sauce tasted like raw flour, creamed chip beef was watery and flavorless, but the bacon was excellent.
Sunday brunch. Had a 10am reservation but didn't really need it. Service was pleasant and food delicious. Super cute decor!
You can expect a good dining experience at any white dog but it comes at a price that is more than it should be for what you get. The drinks are overpriced for what you get (wine not beer) and the food is consistently good but overpriced as well. Is it because it is locally sourced or is the philosophy here "everything is more expensive on the main line". If your style leans toward preppy, upper class mainliner you will fit right in at the haverford location.
A delightful spot for my sister and I to celebrate our birthdays, her 60th and my 65th. Everything we ordered was delicious, thoughtfully created and presented. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. All our servers were genuinely friendly and attentive. We’ll be back.
Soup was cold. Entree had way too much lemon. Expensive. Server was very good as was the overall service. Bartenders were very good. We had a drink while waiting for our table. I’ve been there before. Would go back but probably just for lunch.
Had a lovely meal. Haverford White Dig is one of my faves.
We had such a great meal! The service was awesome! The menu was fabulous! Have been here about 8 times and it is always GREAT!
It has some potential but the service was slow (although professional and friendly) and it was pretty noisy. We were at a center table and it was so packed that we were often jostled by fellow patrons walking and I was even hit in the head with a chair by a server setting another table; not hard but still...
First time for brunch and it was great. Never had a bad meal here. Our reservation was for 10:30, and by the time we left it was packed. Might recommend going earlier for brunch.
