White Dog Cafe's newest location brings local, seasonal, and sustainable dining to Chester County. The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. The menu includes several White Dog staples, such as Kennett Square Mushroom Soup, Double Cheddar Burger, Lamb Bolognese, Truffle Fries, and house-made bread baskets from local farms, alongside new additions.

Food was ok but nothing spectacular. Extremely overpriced menu for food being average. Not a place we would go regularly sadly due to price, the restaurant itself was very nice.

Went for Sunday brunch. Very well done. Good Bloody Mary's to go along with excellent omletes and potatoes. The Creme Brule was outstanding.

My wife and I were out with another couple on Saturday evening. From the moment we were about to be seated, to the point where we were about to place our orders for dinner, the staff seemed to be annoyed by our requests. Initially we were asked to squeeze into a booth, which was a bit overcrowded already. Then when our Server Sean was asked if we could get a few extra slices of bread for our remaining crab dip, he rolled his eyes and paused. Since he did not immediately acknowledge our request, we ordered the bread basket appetizer in order to get additional bread. Prior to receiving our appetizers, Sean offered to take our order right away in an effort to get the Menu’s out of the way and give us more room. Then while ordering our main dish, Sean was asked if we could get a side of pasta, again he paused, rolled his eyes and stated I’ll see what I can do. After all of that, we were still eating our appetizers when are meal arrived. Overall, we felt as though we were inconveniencing your staff and being rushed.

We come on a frequent base . However the service was poor. We had to wait for 10 mins before finding someone to get the server to come and take order. Throughout the meal we had to chase for table to be clear . Not the usual service . We were only ones in the outside area for the majority of the meal

The bill for four people was over $500.00. I’m happy to spend that in an environment that warrants it and with a server that isn’t rushing us through our evening. It was embarrassing to have chosen to take our friends out to dinner there and then have the waitress rushing us and everyone in her section. It ruined our night. She made us extremely anxious. We wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody who is out for a relaxing inviting experience. Hands down the worst experience we’ve ever had while spending over $500.00 on a meal.

The food was served lukewarm at best. In fact some of the ribs were cold. Trout was swimming in a fatty liquid.The berry salad did not have any berries The cocktail was served warm and the smallest amount I have ever seen in a martini glass.. And…the person who was tasked with asking how our meal was was argumentative when we were (very kindly) honest. Overall, we had a terrible experience and paid a hefty price for it.

Greeted with warm, welcoming, smiles, and birthday energy at reservations desk and a lovely handwritten happy birthday card. They even wrote happy birthday on our receipt and brought us a beautiful celebratory dessert with a candle made evening extremely special and our server. Lizzy R. Was lovely, attentive and extremely courteous throughout our dining experience thank you White Dog 🐾 Café of Chester Springs for making it such a memorable evening.
