Very pleased with this first meal at White Bull. Service was great and all dishes shined. It's a little too loud right now, so I hope they can address that by adding some soft surfaces.
Stephano the waiter was great and guided us thru our dining experience. The pumpkin fondina was exceptional. Many thanks for the serving of the pig head
Great food and service. But WAY too loud!
You HAVE to add some buffers. The acoustics are off the chain. None of us could hear each other well which made conversation very difficult .
We are NOT old either!
For this reason, I will not return as there are so many great restaurants in Decatur/Atlanta that have a more gentle atmosphere and great food/service.
Im bummed about that!
Very good and well cooked locally produced food, excellent service and a cosy atmosphere.
Have never had a bad meal there and it’s been 5 Dinners now. Only complaint is that it was really warm in there. Better AC control would have been nice. But other than that, stellar meal as always
Great time, love this place. Heirloom tomatoes and the burrata where outstanding. My date loved the chicken. I will be back and you should too!
Obviously a real chef is in the kitchen and a real bartender is behind the bar. Beautifully rendered dishes. Creative & properly sized portions. You can eat good tasting food in many places but you can have artistry in few. Even the simple plate of tomatoes was outstanding- the right everything. The pasta dishes were superb. The drinks were also creative, unique and delicious. I hope you are successful so that I can visit you many many times again. (More specifically we had: We'll always have Paris cocktail- spritz of absinthe gave it an edge. The bread and butter. The tomatoes with feta- whatever they did to this was magical. The Valpolicella wine. The parppadelle with hen ragu and gnocchi with sausage. We topped it off with the nutella cheesecake- a ball of happiness rolled over nuts with a nutella center. YUM!)
My husband and I went for our date night and we were very pleased with our meal. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and she gave us some very good recommendations! The noise level was a little loud (we struggled to hear each other across the table), but that might be because we went in the later part of the evening when the bar became very lively and fun! The atmosphere had a chic farmhouse vibe that translated into their food as well (think crispy fried oysters with blue corn polenta). We highly recommend this restaurant for date night, and we will definitely be bringing our family back!
The food was DELICIOUS and the service was spot on. I am pleased this new spot is just within walking distance of our house and we’ll definitely be back.
We are new to Atlanta and this was the first restaurant we've been to that had amazing food and service. Presentation was outstanding and our server had great knowledge of the menu and was full of information and was always there when we needed her. Great restaurant!
We sat outside, which was very pleasant. Our waiter was informative and honest. "Salads," we asked. "Greens?" No, there were no salads or green vegetables on the menu. You get a few pickles from the kitchen as a start, but they don't really count as greens. Food is pricey for the portion size, and the chef's hand with oil and butter is a bit heavy. Not a bad meal, but not a restaurant I would go to again.
This was our first White Bull experience and we'll definitely be back...creative cocktails and menu...highly recommended!
Very creative menu with great cocktails. Dining room was very well lit with natural light. Food was very well executed.
Eaten here 6 times and have never been disappointed!
Every time we come here it feels like you’re dining at home with family. We have a 6 month old son and it’s always a joy bringing him here with us. The staff and owners are baby friendly and are accommodating and understanding whether he is all smiles or fussy and crying. Love this restaurant.
Really good food ,friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service.
This was my second visit in one week. Both times the service was wonderful and the food and drinks were delicious. The burrata with fried anchovies, blackberries and peppers was my favorite. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Menu is very creative and full of surprising mix of ingredients. Love the bartender Kevin and his cocktails and personality.
Pastas were insanely good.l and the service was very welcoming and friendly. Next time I’m in Atlanta, I’ll be coming back.
What a fun place for brunch!! Truly a “farm to table” restaurant with a wonderful brunch menu. They even make their own butter!!
I had been here once before for dinner with my husband and we really enjoyed the meal and ambiance. I came back with friends and had a different experience altogether. The restaurant does has a great vibe, delicious cocktails and I love the decor, but here is why this time around I was disappointed. To start, we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation, but the restaurant did comp. our drinks at the bar due to the wait. We proceeded to ordered 2 starters, 3 pastas, and 2 entrees. We received the 2 starters within 5 minutes of ordering. The starters were the bread and butter and the ricotta and fig toast. Both were delicious. My favorite was the fig toast as the figs were perfectly ripe! But, the remaining 5 dishes were not served until around 45 minutes later. When they arrived, some were hot and some were room temperature. The corn pasta and the rib eye were very good, but we were underwhelmed by the ricotta gnocchi and pork ragu as we found both dishes to be bland. The chicken entree was room temperature, and in my opinion, cooked too dry. The server did acknowledge that there was an delay in our food, therefore we were given 2 desserts. Overall, I do love the decor, cocktails, and vibe so I would definitely come back for drinks at the bar.
Fabulous! And Fresh! In house milled and baked breads and pastas! The freshest meats veggies, fruit & dairy. Local sourced. Nice limited menu that rotates. Unique cocktails ‘prescriptions’. And don’t forget dessert!! Great service -Thanks to Jasmine!
Delicious food and creative libations. Wait staff is well-informed and friendly. Will go back!
Food was delicious. Heirloom tomato salad was excellent as was bread. The pasta with truffles was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Benjamin, our waiter, really knew the menu and was attentive at just the right times. Everybody enjoyed the ice cream sandwich dessert. Very enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful birthday brunch and enjoyed the blintzes, crumpets, heirloom tomatoes, corn pancakes, the burger and a special chocolate covered ball cheesecake for dessert! It was heavenly!
We requested Jasmine to be our waitress and she was excellent, as she was on a prior visit. My only complaint is the noise level. The restaurant was fairly full even though we were there at 8 pm on a Wednesday night, and we could barely hear across the table. The food was quite good and three shared appetizers and three shared pasta dishes were more than ample for the four of us.
Everything you could include as design requirements for a great Farm-to-Table restaurant.
Appropriate description of food sourcing, without veering into Portlandia territory. Great curated wine selection. Very High Quality food, presentation, and experience.
We’ll be back.
Fantastic service and exquisite food. The wine list was also very interesting, several unique selections that are not the usual suspects.
Enjoyed the mix of flavors in our food. Some unique takes on some common ingredients.
Food was amazing BUT service was SLOW. our appetizers/small plates came out very quickly but then we waited 45-60 minutes for the next course. and it came out at the same time as our third (and final) course. This was disappointing.
The food was well prepared but took an hour to be served. The service was attentive but without being able to bring entrees, we had very frequently filled water glasses. Finally the noise level was deafening which made conversation more difficult over the empty table. When I dine out, I want to be able to talk with my companions. I understand that the noise level is so patrons won’t linger too long. Serving the dinner in a timely fashion might work better.
I have dined at White Bull three times and have been delighted by the total experience each time. (I should note that I never give 5 stars for cuisine, so 4 is my highest rating.). This is a restaurant that is a warm, inviting, intimate setting with an enthusiastic staff. The menu is locally sourced and prepared in house. Notable menu items are bread, heirloom tomato salad with green goddess dressing, chicken livers, chicken, cheese cake, and ice cream sandwich. Please do not miss the bread which is a very dense sour dough with roasted rosemary and house made butter and the savory roasted chicken! I promise you will be delighted. Please do not miss this delightful restaurant!
The food was just okay. Nothing blow you mind worthy. It was good.
Loved the place, a bit too expensive though. The wine list is good but should have a wider range in terms of pricing
Friend moving to Atlanta
Food, service, & cocktails were amazing. Highly recommended!
What a fantastic dinner. Very cozy, neighborhood feel with impressive food selections. Jasmine, our server, was very knowledgeable and pleasant, making the whole experience exceed our expectations.
Great addition to Atlanta's dining scene. My only complaint is the lack of reliable, convenient parking - and there is no valet! Probably a better place for Uber ...
our cocktails to appetizers to our pastas was seamless
roasted pepper and yogurt was fabulous
heirloom tomatoes and cheese chips were perfect
corn pasta and goat cheese ravioli was the best ever
ragu was done with authenticity that is rarely done
our waiter explained every bit of the menu so eloquently that my limited above description does not do the ingredients or preparation justice!
