Ernest Hemingway once named a blank piece of paper "The White Bull." Welcome to our blank canvas.
Amazing! Great cocktails. Flavio was an amazing server. Food was to die for
The menu is confusing - unless you’re fluent in Italian, but the servers are great and will walk you through the selections. Food was fantastic.
Lovely Valentines dinner menu. Servers were very attentive and we never waiting for anything. Would definitely make this a “Date Night” spot
Wildly expensive for a mediocre experience. Server was great, the expeditor(?) confused tables and dishes a few times. The food made us laugh. Presentation seemed very dated, extremely silly, and compensating for sloppy food.
Pre-Valentine’s dinner to avoid the holiday madness and this was a great choice.
The White Bull never disappoints. The food is always interesting and well prepared. It is different every time we go and there is always something new to enjoy. The service is excellent. The knowledge of wine by the bartenders is great. We had invited friends who had never been and they were very pleased. Kevin Worthington, the manager, is a great guy and always spends time chatting with us and making us feel welcome.
It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other or the servers.
Enjoyed the pastas! The chicken was just okay.
All great. Their credit card system was down and they still made a lovely evening for us.
Small menu. The food is a tad bit overpriced for the quality.
I would definitely go back to White Bull, the only reason it was given 4 stars was because there was no salad/green appetizer available. The chef said they had no greens to even improvise off the menu. That was disappointing. I ordered the black spaghetti with shrimp/jalapeno and asked them to hold the chorizo. The dish came with the chorizo and the staff/manager was hugely apologetic and took it off the bill, but I have to say it was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. The staff was wonderful and we brought a birthday cake that they put the candles in and cut and served the cake which was greatly appreciated.
Wonderful service and the Chef’s Tasting menu was delicious! They accommodated our dietary restrictions with no problem.
The food was good, but arguably not worth the high bill. However, the service and location are great.
Double date with friends... WITHOUT the kids. It was a fun night.
Place is nice, server was nice. Lots of broccoli in my short rib hash, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu or by the server (sensitive to broccoli). Dish was extremely salty. Took forever to get our check. Overall just ok
Great food and fantastic cocktails. The service was amazing.
Food was delicious. Venue was so-so, and noisy. Maitre D' kindly offered us side-seating at bar when our reservation was not ready. We found the Chef's custom spoon bread to be memorably delectable. The roasted oysters were amazing. We wish that they had been offered as an entree (ended up making two orders to enjoy as an entree). By contrast, the roast chicken entree was too much food, but tasty and moist. Our table server was knowledgeable and offered good recommendations on both wine and food. Biggest downsides to our experience: 1) The Menu was a bit confusing: selections are listed in increasing order of price but with no clear labels for Starters, Pastas, Entrees, etc. 2) White Bull's layout is "shotgun." Table servers must squeeze between tables. In our case adjacent server's derrière kept hanging over our table.
Expertly prepared pasta dishes that transcend the connotations of "pasta dishes." Pasta is handmade; sauces are exceptional, but never over-applied; ingredients are hyper-local. And the wine list is exceptional, especially the Italian reds and whites from small wineries. Staff is friendly, and remember their customers. They are sometimes stretched thin because the restaurant is in demand and often full.
Best meal we’ve had in Atlanta recently. Chef’s dinner was amazing.
The food was exceptional. I can’t wait to go back.
Love coming to this restaurant. We had the chefs menu and it was amazing. Great selection of food and the wine pairings were well thought out. Highly recommend them always.
It was disappointing- sorry to say - none of us liked our meals- wanted to like it but no-
Server was excellent. He made great recommendations. The food was delicious.
The White Bull was excellent in every area. I was very impressed with the knowledge the waiters had about the different ingredients in each dish, while making sure you had no allergies to anything included. All the food was very fresh and each dish was as unique. The restaurant itself was lovely while providing a very friendly atmosphere. I will definitely go there again and I highly recommend it. A unique dining experience.
Great food, service, and atmosphere! Really enjoyed our dinner!
Great night! We arrived a little early and sat at the bar, super friendly staff that took our drink orders. As our reservation time approached, we decided to eat at the bar instead of taking a table.
They went out of their way by preparing an order of spoon bread for us - even though it was not on the menu that night. That was followed by oysters and black spaghetti- everything was superb. Consistently great drinks, food and service.
Unique menu, great food!!
Noah was great! Food was awesome.
Good was a bit slow coming out. Seemed short staffed
We loved our meals and enjoyed our desserts. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff was on top of our needs. The only thing I’d mention is that it was pretty dark in there and I saw several tables using their cellphones to illuminate the menu .
10/10 dining experience. Our waiter, Elijah, was super informative and friendly. I had the black spaghetti, shrimp, chorizo, jalapeno, tomato which was SO delicious and my girlfriend had a beet pasta that was exquisite. Definitely recommend!
Food and drinks were excellent. This was our second visit. One of our new favorite places in the Druid Hills / Decatur area.
Everything was fresh, delicious, & nicely presented. The pasta is amazing. I will definitely be back.
My husband and I dined at White Bull on New Year's Eve. We live in the neighborhood, so it was a no-brainer ... without a doubt the best restaurant in Decatur. But the experience exceeded our expectations. The setting was festive, the staff were accommodating, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I have never had scallops anywhere (and I travel frequently for my job, in and outside the US) that could hold a candle. And the poached swordfish was amazing. There was a wine pairing that we did not opt for, but I wish I had. The price was right. On the walk home we reflected an a perfect New Year's Eve celebration.
This place is a gem!! From the service to the inventive cocktails and surreal food - it is consistently excellent.
Can’t say enough about White Bull - The hummus, black spaghetti and the egg nog cocktail - wow...just wow!!!
You should really, really eat your next meal out at The White Bull. Of course the pasta is wonderful, but honestly ALL the food, the drinks (the bartender must be mixing magic in!) & the service (warm, attentive) are so. dang. good. We've been several times now & this visit was the best it's ever been.
Everything about it was great!
Great food presentation and fresh ingredients. Service was impeccable with server providing a description when each seven course dish was served.
Drink service was a little slow. Otherwise, incredibly delicious and enjoyable!
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is a mark-it-on-your-calendar annual event the last week before Christmas. Don't miss this! The house-made pasta (from flours milled in-house), and other farm-to-table ingredients set this restaurant above similar Italian joints. Treat your friends and family to a polenta party, and they'll love you forever. The service is excellent; the ambiance is chic and modern, but warm and inviting.
