Ernest Hemingway once named a blank piece of paper "The White Bull." Welcome to our blank canvas.
Went with my family tonight. Great unique dishes. Service was great. Waiter was informative, but not intrusive. The value was good.
deliciousness! loved the pasta and Shishitos peppers. Woulda licked the pesto off the plate if no one was watching! fab butternut squash three ways.
Tables are too close to each other. Waiter was nice enough to move us to another table with more space in between. Great food and service! They welcomed us with a card for our wedding Anniversary. That was sweet!
My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was lovely. Our server was so helpful and friendly, explaining everything on the menu and even showing us all of the pasta options. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the bread and butter to the shishito peppers to the tasty lemon/blueberry dessert. By far the best dish we had was the bolognese! I’d go back just for that.
We went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were greeted by the GM, Kevin, and he was a gracious and convivial host. Kevin and his team were kind enough to set up a table outside to accommodate our party, made some wonderful wine recommendations, and served us some of the best homemade, house-milled pastas and small plates we've had in a long time. White Bull is a wonderful addition to the Decatur Square, and while this was my first time there it certainly wont be my last.
Fabulous all the way around!!!
WE were disappointed in the service, having experienced great service in the past. Our server apparently was also responsible for a very large party. We had to wait quite a while to order wine and even longer for a (requested) review of the menu. The noise level was so high we were almost shouting at each other and had great difficulty hearing each other. We were especially disappointed with the experience since we brought friends who had never been to the restaurant before.
I asked about vegan options and was brought a "vegan menu" -- regular menu with non-vegan options all blacked out -- very tacky in appearance.
Delicious food, outstanding service! Try the Pavlova for dessert, it was light and tasty.
We brought our friends because we loved it and they thought it was fabulous
Delicious food, friendly staff and comfortable ambiance.
Emma was our server. She was attentive and friendly. Food and cocktails were wonderful.
Good food, great service, but too loud. Also, the menu is remarkably unhelpful, with lists of ingredients with no clue as to the preparation. Without asking you wouldn't know if it is a soup, a salad, a hummus-like preparation, a grilled plate, or what. Fortunately the server knows the menu well, but having to go through each item seems inefficient, and given the constant din, a Herculean effort. Another problem with the menu is the very small type size that is printed on a small, flimsy piece of paper using a printer that seems to be running low on toner making it almost illegible.
The food is among the best I’ve had in town recently. I went twice in one week. Things are firing here just beautifully.
white bull is the real deal- fresh ingredients, inventive dishes but always in the name of taste and not showmanship, great friendly service. my best meal in atlanta in ages.
Creative and delicious food with great service close to Eddie’s Attic
Was greeted immediately upon arriving and seated. The server was very helpful and took the time to answer all questions. The pasta was terrific!! We all will come back and try everyone of the pastas!! Only negative was the music was entirely too loud! Thanks for a great evening.
A true farm to table restaurant! Locally source and awesome service.
Ate here Wednesday night- the night is important, because on the weekend the restaurant is crowded and the noise level becomes almost unbearable. But on Tuesday it was not very crowded so the noise level was fine. The food was very good as always: good quality and variety, even for vegetarians. Service was excellent. Price about what you'd expect for a moderate priced restaurant.
White Bull is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. The ever changing menu is always full of interesting treats. The house made pasta is fantastic and the cocktails are supberb.
Excellent food, drinks & service.
Great food and service! We love coming here because it is consistently delicious.
Fabulous pork ragu and delicious homemade gluten free chick pea pasta. Delightful cocktails too
Lovely low-key place for brunch on a Sunday morning. Not very busy before noon, though a few other parties did arrive while we were there. If you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet conversation and relax with excellent food and cocktails, The White Bull is a great choice.
We were there with a party of six on a Saturday night and were seated along back wall near bathrooms. This was actually a good thing to provide some level of noise dampening...this is one LOUD restaurant. Hard for us to hear person across the table. BUT - the food was really delicious and the attention to using locally sourced food is prevalent and very sincere. The service staff is attentive and friendly and even sent us home with some fresh-made pasta - nice touch. It's a nice addition to the Decatur square - just bring your ear mufflers! ;)
Celebrated my anniversary here and had a wonderful experience!
Pasta dish I had was the best I’ve Ever had (don’t recall name but it was green with eggplant and who knows what else that made it taste incredible!)
My husband had the swordfish and it was divine... perfect tenderness and flavor!
We will certainly return!
Service was great and food was amazing. Can't wait to go back.
loooved their food, ambience, staff and everything else. and their cockatils accommodated the food well.
Very nice staff and very good food
We did the 5 course pasta tasting so we could try them all, and it was amazing. I felt one pasta underwhelmed, but the other 4 were some of my favorite pastas I've ever had. They were made fresh daily and the selection always changes.
We also had the spoonbread appetizer which was covered in a rich garlic sauce and was an amazing starter.
Overall we spent ~$120 and had 2-4 meals left over as the tasting servings were generous. My only complaint is of the noise level of the table next to us. Once they left it was a much more enjoyable meal.
Everything about our experience was outstanding!
While the menu can be daunting for those that may be unfamiliar with the varied flavors and language of farm to table, the waitresses are trained to guide you toward a personal dining experience. If you are looking for depths of flavor and a fresh dining experience, I encourage you to spend the extra bucks and treat yourself to a dinner at White Bull.
I will definitely be back to White Bull! The four of us each had a different meal, and we all had a hard time deciding which was best. Wow. The pastas were amazing. So many delicious flavors. I had squid ink pasta with shrimp and corn and other yummy stuff; I'd have it again in a heartbeat. But then, that would mean I'd miss having the red drum (fish delish), and the pork ragu pasta, and the pasta with lemon and capers. Oh, so many great options. The wine selection was good. The service was top notch. I can't wait to return.
Lovely Sunday brunch! The food was delicious, our server was a delightful Aussie lady - sorry I don’t remember her name! The ricotta cornmeal pancakes with peaches were out of the world! We had my 3 month old with us and the noise level was perfect- not horrible loud. We also had a vegan with us and y’all were able to make a great accommodation for him. Thank you we will be back!
Everything we had was exquisite! We loved the rosemary bread. Is so simple yet delicious. We also had the sea bass dip and the eggplant appetizer and they were both so good. For the entrees we had the red snapper and the gnocchi with shrimp. We told one of the managers Kevin that we will be back to try the squash blossoms. Our server Morgan was awesome very attentive and friendly! Can’t say enough about this restaurant. I highly recommend it.
Delicious. Unique farm-to-table menu. The service can’t be beat: Yasmine took excellent care of us! My only complaint is that the bucatini was so salty that my daughter couldn’t eat it, but didn’t want to tell the staff and upset someone. So, they didn’t know. But, the portion sizes were nice enough that I gave her some of my breakfast and there was plenty to go around! I will definitely come back here the next time I’m in Decatur. Want to try the dinner menu next!
Everyone enjoyed their food and it was a great environment. Will be back!
This place never ceases to amaze me. Everything I've tried has been like "a flavor explosion in your mouth." The food is fresh and prepared in such a way that you will absolutely savor every bite. The drinks are outstanding, service is very good, and yes, it's loud in there. I still say this is in my top 5 of favorite restaurants in the Atlanta area.
