First time coming to Whiskey Joe's with my friends and we enjoyed it! Great food, drinks, service, and entertainment. Oh, and the view is fantastic! Try out the coconut mojito!
I enjoy the view and food, the service could be better.
The proximity to Tampa International Airport makes it a great place to eat before or after a flight. We enjoy the casual atmosphere and great food and drinks. Most recently we celebrated a birthday and anniversary. My favorite is the Shrimp and Grits paired with a Bloody Mary.
Drinks were horrible.
They do not take reservations for outside just the inside tables. Inside has a beautiful view also. Food is good. I came for the view and was not disappointed.
I took some out-of-town family here, we ranged in age from child to young adult to middle aged and we all enjoyed the atmosphere! Had the pork carnitas and it was phenomenal!
Last meal before flying home from Clearwater Beach to MN
The food was excellent, thankfully, because it was pricey ($15 for my salad but it was big enough for two meals). Everyone else in my group enjoyed theirs as well. The service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal.
Out of town friends loved the water plus sunset. Close to TIA.
Shelby was the best server! Great view and delicious ribs. Brought my folks and they loved it. Really a great place for any age group.
Great server but hostess has awful attitude. Other than initial seating issues after having made a reservation had a great time.
So, it took about an hour to get appetizers. If you go try to sit on the resturant side closer to kitchen. It big place and our server had to go check if food done several times. They need better system or more servers.
I absolutely love this place! I would highly recommend trying the coconut margarita... it is FANTASTIC! Even better than that is the most spectacular sunset view from the deck.
Great find near our hotel. Good was good and price was very reasonable. Service was very good too despite being a busy place. We will be back !
We stayed across the street from Whiskey Joe's and were a little intimidated by the sheer amount of people who were on the beach, not to mention the loud live music. Seemed like a frat party, but someone told us the restaurant was a little tamer. We walked over and the restaurant was great. We had a water view table and our waittress, Grey, was awesome. The food was good -- it's not fine dining, it's a tourist-centered spot, but my jambalaya was delicious and our wing appetizer very tasty. Drinks were good -- and the dessert was to die for -- a churro/coconut ice cream concoction that was memorable!
Cant beat the location, right on the water with Jet Skiiers and boats just outside. Parking can be a challenge on Weekends - even the valet fills up quickly, so keep that in mind and leave a little more time if you make reservations during a busy time (your table will be waiting, but your parking spot will not). Our server was quick and attentive, food was brought out quickly, and was excellent.
This is a popular spot, so expect crowds and noise. I came on a Wednesday at noon and it was fine (quiet, plenty of parking) and also on a Saturday afternoon (4:30pm) where it was packed, and valet lots were full. Not discouraging anyone from going, just plan ahead. Well worth the planning!
Not sure what the big deal is about this place. Cool looking place with a great view but with only average food with poor service. Again, still not sure what the big deal was supposed to be.
Crazy crowded between the tiki bar and the dining room and bar but the valet parking was worth the $5 and the food was worth the prices.
Have been to this restaurant many times. Location is always busy, make reservations if you don't want to be waiting on a seat. Service was very good and food is always good.
Service was awesome, food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun. One of my favorite places in Tampa!!!!
Fish was excellent, as always. No one does grouper like Joe's. They used to have the BEST salads around, but now they are just ok. Still wondering if I had any dressing...
Birthday celebration at sunset. Great food, service and views.
Regarding the valet service - absolutely terrible. Having an app for my car, I saw that they sped over 40 mph right in the parking lot while parking my car; almost crashed into another valet parker when car was being returned to me. Never go back/disgusted me
Started off great but service became worse throughout the meal until we couldn't find our server anywhere and waited 30min to cashout. They were slammed though so not sure if he had tables inside but still shouldn't have happened.
Good food. Nice water views. Menu can be a little overwhelming as there’s a lot on it.
Server Mike was very busy and fish wasn’t too good
Had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night and arrived an hour early
Put our name in and went to the bar where it was a zoo.
after about 10 minutes of standing around trying to get attention of bartender the people just to our left vacated their seats and another 10-15 minutes before we were acknowledged once we were sitting at the bar.
At 7:30 I went to check on our reservation only to be told they could seat us right away.
After being seated I could count 6 of 24 tables within eyesight that were empty.
Food was ok nothing really stood out.
We were in town for an event at Whiskey Joe's. I made a reservation ahead of time anticipating that there might be a long wait. We showed up and overheard them tell the people in front of us there would be two hour wait. We were seated instantly! Our waitress was fantastic and attentive even with them being very busy. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. Would definitely return next time we're in Tampa!
I have been to Whiskey Joe's several times, and each time it has been a good experience. The food is good, the staff is friendly & attentive, and there is a beach next door. The only downside is the parking, which is cheap but sometimes hard to find.
Upon arrival we were turned away from valet parking because it was supposedly full. When we walked through the parking lot after parking off property we clearly saw numerous spaces available.
Service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous. The food arrived quickly and was well prepared.
Good food and nice servers, didn't realize you could go right out on the beach at this location. Live music and lots of energy.
The restaurant experience was awful it took an hour plus to find a parking place which was nowhere near the facility Whiskey Joe's the valet parking was full of people who were not eating they would not put you in line for valet parking it was a disaster the food was highly mediocre and expensive I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone a very very bad experience
The view is breathtaking especially during sunset. The food was very good & you mix that with a great waiter & you have yourself a great time. The parking was really bad which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
Fun place. Busy and loud. The service was great. Great sunset over the water.
Food was very pedestrian like processed food. I ordered jambalaya and my husband ordered the ribs and felt likewise. The parking situation was just plain unacceptable. We were turned away and told the lot was full and were sent down the road to pay parking at the beach lot which was a good walk about a quarter mile before we found a space. The real issue was the flavorless food. Some people may go for that but not us.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good and the scenery was great.
Great food. Great view. Great atmosphere. Jambalaya was good. Could’ve used a little more spice to it but overall great jambalaya.
We went for an early dinner on Valentine’s Day. There weren’t very many people so it was fairly quiet and they seated us by the water so we had a lovely view. The ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly and efficient. We thought the food was mediocre...not bad but not wonderful. I had the garlic and ginger chicken breast which didn’t taste anything like garlic or ginger but was juicy and tender. I asked for a side of mango salsa to give it a little flavor and that was spectacular. My friend had a pina colada and said it was the best ever. Grouper Taco was about a 6, as was the fish and chips.
