Service was awesome, food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun. One of my favorite places in Tampa!!!!
Fish was excellent, as always. No one does grouper like Joe's. They used to have the BEST salads around, but now they are just ok. Still wondering if I had any dressing...
Birthday celebration at sunset. Great food, service and views.
Regarding the valet service - absolutely terrible. Having an app for my car, I saw that they sped over 40 mph right in the parking lot while parking my car; almost crashed into another valet parker when car was being returned to me. Never go back/disgusted me
Started off great but service became worse throughout the meal until we couldn't find our server anywhere and waited 30min to cashout. They were slammed though so not sure if he had tables inside but still shouldn't have happened.
Good food. Nice water views. Menu can be a little overwhelming as there’s a lot on it.
Server Mike was very busy and fish wasn’t too good
Had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night and arrived an hour early
Put our name in and went to the bar where it was a zoo.
after about 10 minutes of standing around trying to get attention of bartender the people just to our left vacated their seats and another 10-15 minutes before we were acknowledged once we were sitting at the bar.
At 7:30 I went to check on our reservation only to be told they could seat us right away.
After being seated I could count 6 of 24 tables within eyesight that were empty.
Food was ok nothing really stood out.
We were in town for an event at Whiskey Joe's. I made a reservation ahead of time anticipating that there might be a long wait. We showed up and overheard them tell the people in front of us there would be two hour wait. We were seated instantly! Our waitress was fantastic and attentive even with them being very busy. We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. Would definitely return next time we're in Tampa!
I have been to Whiskey Joe's several times, and each time it has been a good experience. The food is good, the staff is friendly & attentive, and there is a beach next door. The only downside is the parking, which is cheap but sometimes hard to find.
Upon arrival we were turned away from valet parking because it was supposedly full. When we walked through the parking lot after parking off property we clearly saw numerous spaces available.
Service in the restaurant was prompt and courteous. The food arrived quickly and was well prepared.
Good food and nice servers, didn't realize you could go right out on the beach at this location. Live music and lots of energy.
The restaurant experience was awful it took an hour plus to find a parking place which was nowhere near the facility Whiskey Joe's the valet parking was full of people who were not eating they would not put you in line for valet parking it was a disaster the food was highly mediocre and expensive I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone a very very bad experience
The view is breathtaking especially during sunset. The food was very good & you mix that with a great waiter & you have yourself a great time. The parking was really bad which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
Fun place. Busy and loud. The service was great. Great sunset over the water.
Food was very pedestrian like processed food. I ordered jambalaya and my husband ordered the ribs and felt likewise. The parking situation was just plain unacceptable. We were turned away and told the lot was full and were sent down the road to pay parking at the beach lot which was a good walk about a quarter mile before we found a space. The real issue was the flavorless food. Some people may go for that but not us.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good and the scenery was great.
Great food. Great view. Great atmosphere. Jambalaya was good. Could’ve used a little more spice to it but overall great jambalaya.
We went for an early dinner on Valentine’s Day. There weren’t very many people so it was fairly quiet and they seated us by the water so we had a lovely view. The ambiance was nice and the staff was friendly and efficient. We thought the food was mediocre...not bad but not wonderful. I had the garlic and ginger chicken breast which didn’t taste anything like garlic or ginger but was juicy and tender. I asked for a side of mango salsa to give it a little flavor and that was spectacular. My friend had a pina colada and said it was the best ever. Grouper Taco was about a 6, as was the fish and chips.
Waitress tried to over charged me by charging me more then the menu price order a hamburger with pickles didn't get no pickles waited nearly 20 minutes for pickles ate half my sandwich by the time someone came I would never go here again I just go to Armani's lol
We went for a early Valentines day dinner and very much enjoyed it. We had the snapper and it was very good. There was plenty of food, the plating was nice and the service was good.
I use to go there years ago and decided to take my lady out there. she loved it on the deck at sundown.
Great food, great view! Always a good time at Whiskey Joe's.
Great location and great view of the bay. Was looking for a place to take the family out for the evening and thought this might be a good spot for good eats and a view of the rain over the bay ( it’s actually pretty awesome to watch)...
Our server admitted she was 3rd day on the job but you would never know as she was attentive and very engaging.
Food was good but waaay overpriced. The gift shop at the entryway and souvenier cups along with the overpriced menu give this place more of a “tourist stop” vibe than local eatery
Great place. Beautiful views!
Great food and service. Easy going atmosphere to have a good time with friends.
Fun spot. Great views and lively atmosphere. Our server, Jeff, was awesome. Food was good but nothing special
We always enjoy Whiskey Joe's. It's a great fun location with good food and drinks. The wings were delicious and the burgers are always good too.
Whiskey Joe’s is a wonderful place for dinner. The location is superb! The food we had was amazing (Blackened Grouper, Mahi Mahi and Cobb Salad with Skewer of Broiled Scallops). They were all excellent. Whiskey Joe’s I’d definitely on our list for great restaurants in he Tampa area!
Excellent service and food! Fun place especially for locals to bring visitors for a fun meal on the water!
our friends visiting us from Cleveland Ohio had wanted to eat at a place with fresh fish and we suggested Whiskey Joe’s since we live close in Clearwater..we were not disappointed the food we all ordered was delicious. We mad reservations and was seated right away and had a nice view of the water even though we ate inside. Our waitress made sure we were taken care of . We will return again
It was a wonderful time with a friend of mine from Denver to go to an early dinner for sunset on the bay! She flew in just in time to go straight to Whiskey Joe’s. Enjoyed the food and ambience!
We had a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night. We were a little early and seated immediately. Our servers Michael and Stephanie were very good and upbeat. I ordered jambalaya, and my wife ordered fish tacos. We both had a craft beer. Everything was very good. The restaurant was a little noisy, but a good place for families. My only negative was the mandatory $5 valet parking in the lot right in front of the building. Really? This is not a upscale fine dining experience. Fortunately after reading other reviews I learned there is free parking in the evening in the public lot next to the entrance.
Reserved a table for four next to the window, nice view even though it was at night. 4 people each with a different meal food was very good. Only complaint was had to pay for parking
Fun time! Good food and service.
Good location on the water, although the outside table I reserved was not available for 45 minutes from my time. We sat elsewhere. Typical setting for this type of place. Was OK.
Staff was friendly and timely.
My burger and fries were so loaded with salt that I did not even know I was eating meat and potatoes. As were my colleagues plates that were also loaded with salt. Food could be good but no way to tell. Lay off the salt!
Make try again....based on water side location only
A fun place to land with friends and family to relax celebrate a special occasion, support a sports team on TV, or just casually kick back and enjoy the beach and water setting. Very rustic and pretty touristy, but great bar scene regardless of age. Arrived very early on Sunday, but greeted warmly at the bar...great guy serving us, very attentive, provided a couple beer samples, served us excellent drinks quickly with some fun banter. Wish I’d gotten his name because he was a highlight...full beard on the shorter, stocky side. Table was timely with menus...but then the wait started for both ordering and delivery. Slow for appetizers, incredibly slow for entrees, but only slightly better for desserts. Food, bar fare when it finally arrived was very good...everyone happy...serving sizes were also very good. Our waiter was pleasant and positive, but not all that interested in us as customers (5) in our view...finally acknowledged he’d forgotten to put our main course order in with passing apology. This was a small family reunion and 30th birthday party for our nephew...might go back, but would tell greeters and any new waiter how disappointing our prior server was.
Probably the worst food I’ve experienced in my life and yet at the very end of the night the manager did comp the entire meal for my friend and I. However I would not recommend going there for anything but pub type food perhaps.
Good food with outstanding views of Tampa Bay. Atmosphere is fun definitely not stuffy.
