   I always try something new here. The shrimp boil dinner was the BEST! Absolutely just a fun meal, enjoyed every single bite of it! Love this place, great food and such a great view of the Manatee River.

   The food was okay. The seafood was not the type of quality I was expecting being so close to the water. Our server was very nice, but I think was getting too many tables. He forgot several things, but you could tell he was hustling. I think this would be a fun place for drinks around the fire pit, but for a family meal, I wouldn't go again.

   Thank you for accommodating our party of 16! Casey took great care of us while managing other tables and supporting the bar. She is incredible!! Food all came out quick, hot and delish. After dinner we we enjoyed cocktails and the cool evening breeze on the beach around a fire pit.

   Always enjoy our time here. The food was not up to normal standards…grilled chicken was dry and the wings were overcooked. Drinks and view are really good and the service was good as well. We’ll give them another shot for sure

   Beautiful scenery! We set on the deck and had our meal. It was a hot day, but the fans were blowing so it was very cool. The service was excellent, and food was very good. I also love the fact that the outlets were just five minutes away!

   The chicken on my sandwich was undercooked, which I didn't notice until I had eaten half of it (I had cut the sandwich in half). I noticed it when I picked up the other half of the sandwich. I showed the waiter, Dustin, and he agreed that it looked "kind of funny". Then he said, "it's not that bad though. You're not gonna die." I thought his comment was extremely inappropriate and not amusing in the least, although he was laughing. He did not ask if I wanted to send it back, take it off my bill, speak to a manager or anything. He just turned and walked away and brought us back our checks, with no modification at all and no further comment about the undercooked chicken. Definitely won't return to this location.

   Was great with all of the questions that you needed to ask right there and when we arrived, it was perfect. The table was there we ordered our drinks and our meals after and the service was excellent the drink that I had what I thought was a little pricey, but the meal was good and that was reasonable and so was I at my brother-in-law‘s, and I would definitely eat there again

    Reservation system is great. Seated upon arrival. Our server Quinnlynn was excellent. Funny, sweet, and prompt service. Our food was good, but the pricing is a bit high. Totally enjoyed the patio ambience.

    Food was very good, ordered cajun seafood pasta and crab & shrimp topped salmon. Food and presentation were very good, generous portion. Service from Greg was excellent, very attentive and prompt service. Sat inside but will return to try the outdoor area which looks very beachy vibe.

    I requested inside seating when I made the reservation but they sat us on the beach. We had a baby and elderly parents and it was difficult for them to walk on the beach and too hot.

    This has become our go-to restaurant when we want a relaxed outdoor dining experience. Despite it being Mother’s Day, our service was great. The food was tasty, but simple: huge salad with grilled shrimp -> delicious. We will definitely go back again for our next celebration.

    Fun place to grab a drink at the tiki hut and have some appetizers. We came for Mother's Day. Didn't realize they don't serve brunch. Lunch was ok. Food good but not great. Can't beat the view, though. Waitstaff was wore out. Busy day which is to be expected. My takeaway is that this is a fun place to grab a drink by the water but if you are a foodie, there are better places.

    The only reason why I gave four stars for service was because the gentlemen claimed he could not find my OpenTable reservations even though someone even called me from the restaurant regarding the pending rain and sitting.

    Great view and atmosphere. Beach area for drinks is a must. We had a table on the deck and before we were seated were given an option to move inside because of incoming storm. Luckily we did because the deck got soaked and all those people moved inside which added to the noise. Overall a good experience but the deck covering needs revised .

    Had planned a nice family brunch. Ended up being horrible. The only thing that saved it was that our family took the poor food, service and attitudes in stride and made the best of it. Server was too overwhelmed and could use help. Orders were wrong or missed. I’m still waiting for my burger. The food took forever to come out, and when it did, it was cold. At least deliver it warm. The manager on duty did not have the best attitude. It was the General Manager that ended up getting involved but by the time she tried to fix the situation, it was time to leave and pay the tab. Overall- not recommending this place unless they redo how they do business.

    Chris, the server played his role very well. My only complaint was that I had a fan, that could not be shut off because of a broken chain, blowing in my face all evening. Fix the chain and you would have had 5 stars.

    Without knowing, we made reservations for the deck, but asked to sit on the beach when we got there. We were not told that there are different menus for the beach and indoor/deck dining. Service was super slow, ordered items missed, apps and entrees came out at the same time and blackened shrimp and chicken had no seasoning on it. 3rd time here and very disappointed.

    Fun and lively restaurant and tiki bar right on the water. Great food and atmosphere. We like to take our out of town guests here for a laid back lunch or dinner on the water when they come into town.

    I was waiting for my birthday to see the place. We got there at 9 and there were only 3 tables in the place. The food took 40 minutes and they did not bring it complete, a plate was missing that took another 30 minutes to arrive. We had a bad time, we couldn't even sing Happy birthday.

    Whisky Joe's is a great place to have a casual meal. There were not many patrons the night we were there, so it was rather quite. We sat inside (cooler) and had a great dinner and plenty of time to visit with family.

    Hostess was extremely rude. We had reservations, but they gave our table to someone else even though we were 10 minutes early & basically said “oh well”. We had to wait 30 minutes for our table & the only reason we got it then is because we were willing to split up. Out of 9 of us, only 2 enjoyed their meal. We won’t be returning!

    Great view of course! But food is very mediocre at best and never very fast. The carnitas is my favorite but after ordering on numerous occasions, I have never received it more than lukewarm. Once it was served very cold and I had no choice but to send it back. Asked the wait staff to “nuke it” for a minute or two. She told me they do not have a microwave. Well they need one! If you are looking for a great view, good drinks and average food, this place works.

    Whiskey Joe’s is one of those places that compliments a beach vacation. Our food was delicious: the crab cake and grouper were both amazing. Loved the atmosphere and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Look forward to eating there next trip!

    Met relatives from out of town for lunch. Everyone remarked that it was a good choice. The menu provided something for everyone. Portions were plentiful & food was delicious. We weren't rushed and servers were attentive but not hovering. All in all a nice experience.

    What a wonderful experience! Originally we were sat on the deck but in a back corner and asked if we could move closer to the sand/water and the host made it very convenient to switch tables! Our server Sierra was Phenomenal! Coming from someone in the service industry, she was so knowledgeable, efficient, and so sweet! This was the best service experience we’ve had here! Food was good. Many seafood options and the drinks were outstanding! Great team here!

    When we made our reservations, I added that we wanted a table not a booth. They tried seating us at a booth and they acted visually frustrated that I did not want to sit in a booth. They ended up sitting the three of us at an 8 top under the leaking AC vent. Asked if we could sit at another table and was told no. Our waitress was a 10 out 10, incredibly nice and attentive. The loaded fries were awesome, the spicy shrimp were not good. The three meals were decent. I do not think I would ever go back to eat there, it is beautiful piece of property that I could see having drinks at. Food should be 2/3 the price it is now for what you get.

    We went to Whiskey Joe's for a birthday celebration. The food was served cold - all the meals. Replacement meals were cold too. The quality of food was low too. The pizza was disgusting, and the burgers were tasteless. It was one of the worst experiences we've had eating out in a long time.
