The food and drink were womderful (although a $21 Redbreast Irish whiskey really should be a longer pour or a shorter price tag). But the true difference-maker was our server, who introduced herself as Bella. She was attentive without hovering; knowledgeable about the oysters, and was among the most peasant people we've ever come across. Truly. 5 stars for W&O; six for Bella.

Unfortunately, the service was substandard; our server was not attentive and a shift change only made matters worse. While the menu was extensive, the portions were fairly small. The raw oysters were good. IMO the seafood gumbo lacked flavor and the lobster rolls were quite small at $25 a pop. Overall, it was kind of a disappointing experience.

We had a fantastic experience at Whiskey and Oyster. The oysters were fresh and amazing- some of the best we have ever had! The food was also delicious and our experience was brought to another level thanks to our fantastic waitresses Alba and Merina. They were friendly, attentive, and very efficient. They managed to spend a good amount of time with us, answering all of our questions, while juggling the needs of other tables in a timely fashion without rushing us or delaying others. Couldn’t have asked for more from the food or the staff. Thank you ladies! It was so good, we made reservations to go back the next day!

I attended the Mother/Daughter Brunch with my daughter and it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The vendors were great we were able to get some great items. The brunch menu had something for everyone, and the Mimosa bar was perfect! Can’t wait for next year!

Our server, Bella, was great. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great info. She was appropriately attentive, and we waited less than a minute when we arrived for our reservation. Great time from start to finish. We started with hush puppies, oysters, and the cream of crab soup, which had an amazing smoky flavor throughout. Everything was delish. Other dishes tried was the seafood pasta, Caribbean rockfish (chefs kiss, soo good I can still taste it and feel the fish melting in my mouth), and the beignets, which surprisingly felt like a croissant bread and it was delightful! Our drinks were good too and the No booze old fashioned was not a terrible alternative for someone looking to stay away from alcohol but still feel social.

The food was ok. My old fashioned was filled up as if I ordered a shot on the rocks which was disappointing for a $14 cocktail. We ate outside but the inside looked really nice. I expected the food to be better but some things tasted “off”. Duck egg rolls were smothered in duck sauce and didn’t really have a duck confit flavor. The cole slaw was mostly red onions and that threw off the flavor. We ordered a range of things and nothing really jumped out as a great dish. We were disappointed and won’t be back. The location is nice because it’s easier to park than most locations in old town if that helps any.

Reservation made on open table for two. Arrived and was told only a 2-top in the bar was available. Finally seated at a table but was told a group of 20 was coming and we needed to be finished by 6:45. Table was dirty, had to ask to get it cleaned. Appetizer arrived after the entree's. Never offered an apology. Asked for more water but never received. We have eaten here before a half dozen times but we will not come back. Service is no longer to goal in the restaurant. Maybe it's under new management?

Excellent meal and ambiance. My server, although very personable, was not very attentive and basically disappeared for a good deal of time. I wanted to order another cocktail, but finished my meal before I could do so. She later appeared and apologized because I was her only table and forgot about me. How does THAT happen? Then she disappeared again. Another server checked me out. Other than that, my meal was delicious. I may give it another chance.

My husband and I spent his birthday here, and we were so pleased we did. Everything was amazing! From the second we walked up, a gentleman opened the door for us. We were seated immediately and our waitress (Emily) was a gem. She wa a knowledgeable and so kind. The food, let’s talk about the delicious food. I orders the fried oysters for my appetizer and they were OMG amazing. My husband had the steamed clams and coconut shrimp. Wowzers. Our entrees were just as good. We had the crab cakes and lobster Mac. Last but not least, the CHEESECAKE. I could go on and on, but I won’t. Don’t walk to this place, run! 😋

I went here on a rainy Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. The decor is very cute and they have a wide variety of whiskey ( hence the name) :) we tried one of their whiskey flights which was cool and we ordered food. The egg rolls were really good. My friend had the lobster grilled cheese which was to die for ( who knew?) and lobster bisque which he said was okay. I opted for the fried catfish sandwich and she crab soup ( i think it was) but I was accidentally given Luke warm clam chowder. When I told the waiter, he looked annoyed but he was the one that got the order wrong. He brought the right soup later and it was hot and tasty. The sandwich on the other hand? Not so much. Flavorless and soggy. Wouldn’t order that again.

$1 oyster night! Then we had peel n eat shrimp and fish and chips! Both delicious! Maybe the best meal we've had at W & O. Also beignets with melba and lemon sauce - to die for!

We had an impromptu family outing and W&O was a great place to sit outside, have a drink, and enjoy the food.

The food was ok but my pricey cocktail had way too much ice and the service should have been better. Our waiter kept disappearing and not checking in on us; we had to flag him down so we could put in a dessert order and then again so we could call for the check. I've been at this place on nights when it's been a lot more busy, so I don't understand why he didn't just walk by our table more often. I don't know if I would bring guests here again.

Overall a good experience.I wish they had a special menu for Easter. Also, some of their items tasted bland (like the hush puppies) and needed more flavor.
