Absolutely delicious! Went in for lunch and had the scallops. Seared perfectly served over risotto with marvelous pea shoots. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, delicious food. Highly recommend!!
Friendly, nice atmosphere, good location, great food; overall great dining experience.
This was my third or fourth trip to Wewatta Point and I am still baffled while more people don’t love this place. The food is solid. Delicious, presented well, healthy, flavorful, and decent portions. Definitely worth trying despite the typical light crowd.
If you are coming before 6pm on the week day make sure you get a happy hour menu. We weren't given one until I asked. We had appetizers and drinks and over all it was satisfactory. Check was wrong, don't know intentionally or not, just a warning...
I had the fish tacos which were the best I've had, and my husband had the fried shrimp and fries - not the healthiest meal, but fabulous. It was fairly quiet in the restaurant on a Saturday... we'll be back. Jason was a great waiter.
Cocktails were great. Beer and wine list left something to be desired. Seafood was fresh and well-executed but flavors underwhelming. Service was very good, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This was an okay restaurant but nothing particularly inventive of exciting about this experience.
The food was wonderful and so was Chad, our server. A hidden gem that no one seems to know about! Go soon before the crowds find out!!
The food was excellent but the service was mediocre. It was very quiet, and we still didn't get typical attention from our server.
The regular menu is a bit pricey, but on Monday's the offer $1 oysters which is precisely what drew me in.
We love the Thursday night lobster meal; it is unusual, good and worth the price.
The ceviche was phenomenal! Service was outstanding. Ambiance is super cool. We enjoyed sitting outside. I will definitely go back!
Always great food and wonderful wait staff.
The lobster dinner at this place was amazing! The service was prompt and efficient. Overall great experience.
Service was outstanding and menu was varied. I've never had barramundi before and it's taste is more like catfish but the texture was nice. Oysters from Glacier Bay were outstanding. We will be back again.
Food at fair price
Party of 4: $300 w/tip. 6 glasses wine and 4 entrees.
1-1/2 pound lobster with shell so only had about 6-8 bites. Yellow fin tuna entree was flavorless. Barramundi and Scallops were good as well as calamari. Bananas foster and sorbet was great.
Have to pay for parking- $5- no restaurant validation.
What a fantastic restaurant! We arrived early to take advantage of happy hour pricing on cocktails and appetizers. The crispy rice spicy tuna and crab cake were both excellent. The cocktail was well balanced and perfectly mixed. While it was tempting to keep eating appetizers, we had the salmon and tuna entrees. Again, both were amazing. We didn't love the caper berries on the salmon dish, but that did not detract from how amazing it was at all. The coconut rice cakes served with the tuna are sweet and slightly nutty- almost dessert in themselves! Our waiter was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. We will definitely be back.
Amazing service and food.
The restaurant was mostly empty on Saturday night, an odd occurrence in this town. More people need to discover this great seafood dining option in Denver. Everything we tried was well prepared and tasty. All the servers were very attentive. They were helpful when asked about menu options.
I had an after dinner drink that was too, too spicy for me. Our server gladly swapped the cocktail for one that was more to my liking.
The food is average at best. Will not be returning.
They took such good care of us! We mentioned a food allergy, and they had alternatives ready. They also helped us celebrate our anniversary with some rosé bubbly and dessert. Everything we had was so good!! Highly recommend them.
Love this place - service was fantastic and the lobster roll and oysters are perfect!
Food and service was great!
This is the best seafood restaurant in Denver. We tried the halibut special and the scallops dish - both were excellent entrees. Their mussels appetizer was outstanding and even the coconut cake dessert was fabulous - and I find most desserts disappointing. Why this isn't on the top 10 list in Denver is beyond me. Great service, gorgeous restaurant, great outdoor patio and a great bar too.
Was there on a Saturday night and no one was in the restaurant. So weird.
Ceviche didn’t have a lot of flavor
Bar tender/waiter was very personable but not good at follow up for more drinks
Waiter did not give reward points when we gave him our number
Lobster and bread puddings were great
The staff and service was excellent. They were attentive, helpful and engaging. The Thursday Lobster night is an excellent value and filling! We are already looking forward to trying out other items on the menu! Highly recommend.
While the service was excellent, the food left a bit to be desired. Not sure if we just ordered the wrong thing - but one of our apps was great, the other so-so. The meal, which i was really looking forward to had really undercooked rice so i just ate the veggies and fish and left the rice behind.
A bit expensive, but the food is good, and so are the cocktails. Parking is tough, best to ride share to this place.
Nice new spot. Made a reservation for 7:00 pm on a Saturday night but there were quite a few tables open. Service and food was good but portions were quite small for the price.
Was in Denver on Business. Wanted a good, simple seafood restaurant with solid wine list for dinner. Checked out the restaurant's pictures online and the food shots were quite persuasive. Also wanted to impress some business colleagues with my restaurant savvy. After a nice walk from a downtown hotel, we arrived to a cleanly decorated (unpretentious) restaurant with a most gracious and cordial staff.
SCORE! It was a beautiful evening so we chose an outdoor table. I noticed the Orin Swift Mannequin on the wine list right away. We ordered the Cast Iron Mussels and Spanish Octopus to start. After my friends finished their starters, I asked our wonderful host Chad for some most grilled bread to finish the broth for the mussels. simply divine.
My friends ordered the Barramundi while I had the grilled Branzino. The entrees were rightly portioned and exquisitely presented.
Another bottle of Orin Swift...
A delightful dessert. The Bread pudding, Bananas Foster followed by a 10 year tawny port. The best way to leave Denver... Contented.
Wewatta Point does not disappoint. Very friendly, honest and knowledgeable staff. Great food. Memorable times.
Went here for a Father's Day brunch, the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict was fantastic and the Potatoes are delicious. The "Morning Libations" are really fun and tasty. Must go back and try the Dinner Menu.
We dined on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. We enjoyed the crab cake appetizer (all lump crab!), branzino and sea scallops. Our initial drinks took a little long so they gave us a tasting of the cold corn/fritter soup. It was good! We had the coconut cake for dessert and it was not quite what we expected. It was really just cake with raspberry filling and toasted coconut on the plate. I would not recommend it. Servers were helpful with recommendations. Many places in the area to dine so we're hoping this place survives long enough so we can go back for Lobster Thursday!
Nice find. The staff, atmosphere and food were all excellent. I had a bad experience with a lobster roll and they took care of it right away. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations of types of oysters and was very knowledgeable about the sea food they served.
Excellent service, wine recommendations and food. Will definitely go back
The food and service were both excellent. Always an enjoyable evening at this restaurant.
The waiter was nicely sociable and helpful describing the menu items. This place sits near a busy yet quiet intersection, so it is a great place to people watch if you get the outside seating.
It was okay seafood. The one dollar oysters was a good deal and the soup was delicious but when it came to the entrees there is some room for improvement.
Lunch was great...server was good. Don’t know if he just started.
This is a new restaurant near Union Station... a hidden gem.
Currently, it is easy to get a reservation, even on the weekend.
The fish is fresh, portions are good, and the value is excellent.
