Been going here w friends after Friday nite movie.
So glad we can now make reservations. Will keep coming back!!
Surprisingly good food for a mall-based restaurant, courteous and efficient service3, reasonable prices make this a good pre-theatre spot. Noisy in the bar and main room, but really comfortable if you are lucky enough to get seated in one of the private dining rooms which is opened when busy.
I have been a devoted customer for 7 years. Unfortunately, my favorite shared appetizers have taken a turn for the worse. Also there is no consistency. I usually order the macaroni and cheese and barbecue chicken flatbread. Sometimes the flavors taste better, and sometimes they taste awful, no consistency.
With the increase of inflation, I don’t feel your prices are worth the less than satisfactory taste in food. I’m disappointed and upset at the money I have wasted as a loyal customer.
We were seated quickly when we arrived. Service was good and food delicious. I do wish Westside Tavern would expand their menu. Food selection is limited although very tasty.
Lots of great choices. Perfect place to go before the movie. They had a kielbasa reuben as a special that was heavy but DEELISH
We LOVE this restaurant. The only thing that makes me sad is they no longer serve Bundaberg Ginger beer. They switched companies. But otherwise a 4 star experience.
I wish I could remember our server’s name bc every time we have sat with her she has been so friendly, sweet, and fun. The food was amazing as always. We eat there every Friday night before our movie, and I look forward to it all week.
Great restaurant...delicious food. The flatbreads are amazing!! One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants.
Excellent location and parking. The food and service were fabulous.
We were accommodated very nicely in a side room when we asked for quiet seating because of two hard-of-hearing members of our group. The rest of the restaurant was incredibly noisy! The meal was delicious.
Excellent service and fabulous food! So enjoyable!
Mary was a great server, food was delicious!
Good westside option for casual business lunches and meet-ups with friends. Pricey for lunch since the portions are on the small side but there are healthy options. Service was a bit inconsistent as the server seemed somewhat overwhelmed. I will be back, but mostly because there aren't that many options in this part of town...I wish the value was a bit better and the server wasn't clearly ADD.
I'm a frequent visitor to the Westside Tavern, primarily as a place to eat after the movies. The food is always good, and the setting is excellent. It's better now that you can make a reservation as you would often have a long wait. I would recommend it both for casual dining and a good venue for a date.
Thank you so much for another great dining experience. And a special thank you to our server, Kelly, for great service.
Service was the best I’ve had!!!!
My fav brunch! Best hollandaise, pancakes, bakery. Beautiful room with comfortable seating and gracious service.
So glad that the Chopped salad w/Salmon was brought back to your menu -- the Asian substitute was not very good. Love the "Johnny-cake" (your excuse for bread).
Service was terrific. thanks for being there.
We always enjoy Westside Grill for the warm atmosphere and very good food and service
Really nice dining spot with a great bar. Comfortable, casual atmosphere, great service and really good food. Noise level wasn't bad either. Even in the bar area it was still possible to hold a conversation across a table without shouting. Definitely a good spot for drinks and/or dining, especially pre-movie.
We go there every Friday night for date night, and I cannot rave enough about their bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions. The combination or the juicy grass-fed beef with the melted cheese, aioli, and arugula, on that perfect bun just melts in your mouth. But, I don’t think anyone has better ranch dressing. It’s pretty amazing, especially with the sweet potato fries. We also had exceptional service from Megan. She was friendly, patient, and extremely attentive and efficient! Another great experience!
if your destiny is Landmark and you reserve in advance, this is a good value and great location. the crab cake is reliable. the burgers deliver and the wine and beer selections more than serviceable. Good servers.
I go to this restaurant all the time and enjoy the fact that the menu includes a casual and more formal menu which gives me lots of options. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful and the menu is varied and creative but old favorites are included along with a changing blackboard. I enjoy the cozy booths and the staff at the front desk are very accommodating as well.
We have been regulars at Westside Tavern for many years, they never cease to impress. Everythiing is done artfully and the sticky toffee cake at the end of the meal is TO DIE FOR. We find it kid-friendly and convenient.
This is so convenient when going to the Landmark to see a movie.....Now that they take reservations, it is even better.....no long wait. Good value. We particularly like the mushroom flat bread....Caesar salad is very generous, but could use a better dressing. Service always very accommodating.
Food selection was good - our server was knowlegable about specials. We were greeting quickly after we were seated and our drink order was brought right away. This restaurant is very convenient for after movie dates.
Consistently good food, service is excellent, comfortability. Never feel rushed or hurried to leave. Always enjoyable to go.
So happy they take reservations! Great casual dining, always good food- soup, salads, love the appetizers: tempura green beans, Brussels sprouts, calamari, burrata
Highly recommend anything on the menu. Save room for the sticky toffee cake!
The food and drinks were tasty. The ahi appetizer was delicious as well as the lamb ragout tagliatelle special. I was very disappointed that their chicken liver mousse is now a special and not available all the time. I will definitely return when I know that they have it.
The reception desk attitude needs improvement
I know they are busy but especially on weekends u need more staff
This place is convenient because we go to the Landmark Theatres in the same building. We ate there a few weeks ago and had better service but it is convenient. It was not that busy but we were there on the early side. No one came to our table until I called a waiter who seemed to be helping other tables. He told me we were "not in his section" but he took our order and was polite. It became apparent that he was waiting on nearly every table so who knows.
Did not think the lamb sandwich was up to ur high standards. The lamb was a bit chewy and too well done. Plus had to ask for more horseradish cream!
The poke serving was on the small side ( I order it often . so I know)!!
Now that they take reservations - at least, for dinner – it's as easy as taking an escalator from the theatres above to enjoy a terrific cocktail or glass of wine with dinner. I am slightly addicted to their lamb dip sandwich. Outstanding flavor and tenderness. Terrific Sweet Potato fries too.
And the bartender whips up some great cocktails.
Music too loud. Food great, as always.
We came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. When we finally got seated, the booth we were sitting at had no lighting. It was so dark that I had to ask if we can be seated elsewhere or if they could replace the burnt out bulb. The hostess told me they couldn’t replace the bulb and couldn’t move us because there were no available tables. I then requested at the very minimum for them to bring out more of the motive candles they had on each table...she brought us two little ones which really didn’t help. We all had to resort to our phones flahslight to read the menu and eat our meal. Our server literally took our order and brought the check. He never once offered refills on our beverages, never asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Overall this wasn’t a good experience for any of us.
It's a difficult place to review because sometimes the food is prepared well, but the service is terrible. Sometimes it's the other way around. About 40% of the time, both the food and service are good, but I wouldn't say that that anything I've ever had there was "great". On my most recent visit, I had about an hour before I was going upstairs to see a movie. Ordering my meal was fine, and a runner brought it in a timely manner, but then I didn't see my server again for about 40 minutes. I finished my meal with about 30 minutes to spare. I kept looking for the server to get the check, but she was nowhere to be seen for about 20 minutes. Then I briefly spotted her far away, but could not get her attention. She finally showed up 3 minutes before the movie was going to start, just as I was about to go to the hostess stand to see about paying my bill. I then requested the check, paid it immediately and had to run up the escalator to make it just as the previews were starting.
I ordered well the Salmon was excellent and the appetizer of vegetarian chilli and cornbread were delish....the person I went with ordered the calamari which was good but the trout was inedible it was way too salty. could not eat either of the 2 pieces of trout that arrived so we just let it go...so I think if you order correctly you will have a great meal here...also if youre watching a movie its hard to beat this location...the bathrooms are REALLY nice too FYI
