My go to restaurant...always delicious! The flatbreads are extraordinary and the Caesar salad is one of the best.

The food here is always consistently good. I always enjoy their Caesar salad and also chose the grilled salmon in miso sauce with black rice-very good. I also enjoy the warm chocolate chip cookies.

We got the corn bread b/c if a restaurant has corn bread on their menu one would think it’s good. Wrong... it was dry like it had been sitting out four hours. Didn’t finish

The Westside Tavern never disappoints for lunch or dinner. Addiditionally, the friendly staff is well trained to meet timing issues for movie schedules. And now that reservations are possible it makes dining so much easier.

I was very much looking forward to dining here, I had friends that raved that it was their favorite restaurant. I was very disappointed. The service was sub-par. Our waiter got us water, and then never asked if we wanted other drinks, on top of that I could not get anyone to refill our waters. When we finally ordered, they never brought out the Brussel sprouts we ordered and my husbands hamburger arrived without french frys...we were told that they would be out soon...10 min later they arrived, no explanation about what took so long. My friend ordered the Pumpkin flatbread which was tasteless. Our waiter never checked to see if we were okay. When he came by at the end of our meal I told him to be sure and take the Brussel sprouts off our bill as we never received them...he said "Oh did they not bring them out?" What a disappointment......

Bar, menu, and table service are excellent. Great for lunch or dinner. The ability to make reservations is a big plus. Perfect casual dinner before or after a movie. Very nice casual ambiance.

Had dinner with a few friends, and was worried about my options because I'm not currently eating gluten or dairy. I'm not always a huge cauliflower fan but I ordered the roasted cauliflower because it seemed like a good veggie option, and OMG it was incredible. So delicious. Even when I'm back to eating gluten and dairy, I will still totally order this app!

We took our visiting foodie cousins from Berkeley here and they liked it. One cousin tried three different wine samples before choosing one and was happy that they let her do that. We shared a delicious prosciutto and melon starter. She had trout and had some left over to take home.

Found it odd that our dirty appetizer plates sat on our table as we were eating our entrees. Slow service. Good thing we had time before our move as we were there for an hour and 30 minutes.

The dinner my friend and I had at Westside Tavern was absolutely far and beyond our expectations. I am a big soup fan and very wary of the “seasonal soup” that turns out to just be clam chowder or minestrone. But at Westside, that soup turned out to be parsnip brown butter chestnut soup and it was probably the best soup I’ve ever had. Adding to that, we had the Brussels sprouts+prosciutto and the cauliflower starters and were blown away by how delicious and flavorful both of them were. Between 2 soups and those 2 starters, we were also actually full (and neither of us are delicate eaters).

We initially did not like being sat in the back room bc we feel cut off from the energy of the restaurant, and the service is always slower, which is a given. But, our server was fantastic even though he had his hands full, and as always, the food was amazing. He bacon cheeseburger w carmelized onions is hands-down the best burger I have ever eaten. I savor each bite and NEVER get tired of it.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, as the food and service are usually excellent. That wasn't the case for this visit. Three of the 4 entrees were less than great, and our server was incredibly cold and distant. One person's short ribs were dry and lacked flavor; my wife's halibut was cooked and flavored well, but one piece had almost no sauce; and my tagliatelle was not very flavorful and a little too al dente. We will certainly be back; this visit was atypical.

Everything was delicious and the service was great. This place gets very crowded, so I recommend making a reservation or coming at off-hours if you don't want to wait. I will definitely be back.
