So glad that the Chopped salad w/Salmon was brought back to your menu -- the Asian substitute was not very good. Love the "Johnny-cake" (your excuse for bread).
Service was terrific. thanks for being there.
We always enjoy Westside Grill for the warm atmosphere and very good food and service
Really nice dining spot with a great bar. Comfortable, casual atmosphere, great service and really good food. Noise level wasn't bad either. Even in the bar area it was still possible to hold a conversation across a table without shouting. Definitely a good spot for drinks and/or dining, especially pre-movie.
We go there every Friday night for date night, and I cannot rave enough about their bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions. The combination or the juicy grass-fed beef with the melted cheese, aioli, and arugula, on that perfect bun just melts in your mouth. But, I don’t think anyone has better ranch dressing. It’s pretty amazing, especially with the sweet potato fries. We also had exceptional service from Megan. She was friendly, patient, and extremely attentive and efficient! Another great experience!
if your destiny is Landmark and you reserve in advance, this is a good value and great location. the crab cake is reliable. the burgers deliver and the wine and beer selections more than serviceable. Good servers.
I go to this restaurant all the time and enjoy the fact that the menu includes a casual and more formal menu which gives me lots of options. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful and the menu is varied and creative but old favorites are included along with a changing blackboard. I enjoy the cozy booths and the staff at the front desk are very accommodating as well.
We have been regulars at Westside Tavern for many years, they never cease to impress. Everythiing is done artfully and the sticky toffee cake at the end of the meal is TO DIE FOR. We find it kid-friendly and convenient.
This is so convenient when going to the Landmark to see a movie.....Now that they take reservations, it is even better.....no long wait. Good value. We particularly like the mushroom flat bread....Caesar salad is very generous, but could use a better dressing. Service always very accommodating.
Food selection was good - our server was knowlegable about specials. We were greeting quickly after we were seated and our drink order was brought right away. This restaurant is very convenient for after movie dates.
Consistently good food, service is excellent, comfortability. Never feel rushed or hurried to leave. Always enjoyable to go.
So happy they take reservations! Great casual dining, always good food- soup, salads, love the appetizers: tempura green beans, Brussels sprouts, calamari, burrata
Highly recommend anything on the menu. Save room for the sticky toffee cake!
The food and drinks were tasty. The ahi appetizer was delicious as well as the lamb ragout tagliatelle special. I was very disappointed that their chicken liver mousse is now a special and not available all the time. I will definitely return when I know that they have it.
The reception desk attitude needs improvement
I know they are busy but especially on weekends u need more staff
This place is convenient because we go to the Landmark Theatres in the same building. We ate there a few weeks ago and had better service but it is convenient. It was not that busy but we were there on the early side. No one came to our table until I called a waiter who seemed to be helping other tables. He told me we were "not in his section" but he took our order and was polite. It became apparent that he was waiting on nearly every table so who knows.
Did not think the lamb sandwich was up to ur high standards. The lamb was a bit chewy and too well done. Plus had to ask for more horseradish cream!
The poke serving was on the small side ( I order it often . so I know)!!
Now that they take reservations - at least, for dinner – it's as easy as taking an escalator from the theatres above to enjoy a terrific cocktail or glass of wine with dinner. I am slightly addicted to their lamb dip sandwich. Outstanding flavor and tenderness. Terrific Sweet Potato fries too.
And the bartender whips up some great cocktails.
Music too loud. Food great, as always.
We came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. When we finally got seated, the booth we were sitting at had no lighting. It was so dark that I had to ask if we can be seated elsewhere or if they could replace the burnt out bulb. The hostess told me they couldn’t replace the bulb and couldn’t move us because there were no available tables. I then requested at the very minimum for them to bring out more of the motive candles they had on each table...she brought us two little ones which really didn’t help. We all had to resort to our phones flahslight to read the menu and eat our meal. Our server literally took our order and brought the check. He never once offered refills on our beverages, never asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Overall this wasn’t a good experience for any of us.
It's a difficult place to review because sometimes the food is prepared well, but the service is terrible. Sometimes it's the other way around. About 40% of the time, both the food and service are good, but I wouldn't say that that anything I've ever had there was "great". On my most recent visit, I had about an hour before I was going upstairs to see a movie. Ordering my meal was fine, and a runner brought it in a timely manner, but then I didn't see my server again for about 40 minutes. I finished my meal with about 30 minutes to spare. I kept looking for the server to get the check, but she was nowhere to be seen for about 20 minutes. Then I briefly spotted her far away, but could not get her attention. She finally showed up 3 minutes before the movie was going to start, just as I was about to go to the hostess stand to see about paying my bill. I then requested the check, paid it immediately and had to run up the escalator to make it just as the previews were starting.
I ordered well the Salmon was excellent and the appetizer of vegetarian chilli and cornbread were delish....the person I went with ordered the calamari which was good but the trout was inedible it was way too salty. could not eat either of the 2 pieces of trout that arrived so we just let it go...so I think if you order correctly you will have a great meal here...also if youre watching a movie its hard to beat this location...the bathrooms are REALLY nice too FYI
Sat at the bar. I was able to hang my Macy’s bag on the hook under the rail. Bartender was pleasant and attentive. Ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich with tomato soup. Both were very good but I had to ask for black pepper, was not offered
Jessica, our server, was so sweet, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and extremely efficient. All three of us ordered a different variation of the cheeseburger. I ordered mine medium rare, with bacon, extra caramelized onions, and a side of ranch to dip it in. The combination of flavors literally makes my eyes roll back in my head. This would be my Last Supper for sure!
This has been a favorite for years for pre or post movie theater dining. The food and service are always good. But I must note that on this visit I was informed they no longer serve freshly shucked oysters. For me this was a HUGE disappointment as this was something I almost always ordered. The oysters here were always fresh and high qualit, often better than in some of the top seafood restaurants in LA. Please bring them back!
Always reliable good creative menu and service in the mall where Landmark Theater is located so great before or after a movie
Clark was our server and he was incredible. He was able to answer all of our questions with great depth. He was just a joy to be around. The food was very tasty. We had the Bistro Filet and Cheeseburger. Both cooked to perfection. Made our experience worth it.
It was fine
We were seated in the Cedar Room which was small and nice and quiet. The warm cornbread is always delicious and is a good beginning. My quinoa and farro salad with yogurt is healthy and surprisingly tasty, and my friend's cheeseburger and fries were wonderful. We will eat here again as soon as we return to the theatre again, which is next week.
Good overall. Service is Great! Need more veggie options and use less oil but tasty
Reason we go there, it is close to a movie theater we go to.
I ordered the turkey burger without cheese.
Tim, our waiter delivered it to me with cheese.
When I mentioned this to him, he told me that it was the chef's fault and not his and I could order a desert, free of charge. I looked at the desert menu and there was nothing to my liking.
He didn't offer me another burger without cheese, which I would have [preferred. Especially after spending most of of my afternoon having an upset stomach from the meat and cheese combo.
Thank you for another great meal. Our servers, Aaron, Alice and Shelby were fantastic!
Always consistently good. I like almost everything I have ordered (the flatbreads aren't great. Dough tastes like crackers. Otherwise everything is delicious.
Shelby’s service was terrific. Salmon was cooked perfectly.
Thank you for another wonderful meal and drinks. Our server was fantastic too!
Mediocre. Also, shouldn’t pressure people to write more!
I didn’t think the hostess was very friendly when we arrived. Server was nice and friendly however, he neglected to come to the table for 20 mins after we ate and then he brought the check. Never asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee which we ordered both . Wasn’t impressed and it was a client lunch.
I've been there many times, often taking guests there. I usually have the French dip sandwich,
in honor of my late father, who loved the one at Philippe's downtown. Tomato soup is good too.
I've liked Mary's chicken.
I love the food. My only complaint is that it is always sooo cold in the restaurant.
The best shrimp tacos in Los Angeles.
Great place to dine before the movies.
