Nice and siren environment. The locating is really convenient too. It’s close to everything else.
View was great, service was great and food was pretty good. Not having the ability to tip felt foreign. Overall, I'd come back.
First time and very impressed! Coming back this week for a birthday celebration. Staff & service was great, food was delish, and ambience/view was very nice. And the “gratuity-free” environment makes this place a luxe 5-star bargain. Been telling all my friends! Keep it up West!
When we arrived, the hostess was friendly and sat us immediately. The section across where we were seated had just been trashed as if someone dropped a few meals all over the table and floor. Someone came and cleaned up after a few other associates just walked passed the tin can of ketchup that was spilled on the floor and other food particles. I requested a window seat, but the hostess said none were available. We noticed three tables near the window but they were dirty. Our server was was friendly when we asked can we move near the window which I requested in the reservation. She gladly cleaned the table and moved us. Service was good and food was okay
Christmas dinner. Had to ask for bread 4 times. Brought a side dish as an appetizer. Took almost an hour to receive main course. Service was friendly, but hideously slow.
the only negative thing in the service was that no one asked to take our coats and the seats we set on it were not capable to hang our jacket on it
Lovely Christmas celebration with vegetarians and carnivores alike - all were happy! Great views handy location. Loved it.
When I made the reservation I was not told that the dining room with the primary view had been reserved for a private party. It was for this view that I'd booked a table. It wasn't until we'd already valet parked that we were told the main dining room was closed to the public. This is very bad public relations and I'm not inclined to return.
Great food and great service. The wait staff was top notch
Food, ambiance view and our waiter excellent! Just the bartender the way he treated one of our guest (who was kind of tipsy) very unprofessional, unpleasant
We always celebrate our special occasions at the West. Our lunches and service has always been outstanding. But for some reason our service yesterday was very very slow. Lunch took almost 2 1/2 hours when we are normally out in an hour and a half. So needless to say we were very disappointed.
Excellent! Food and service! Top notch great cocktails and wine list
This is my restaurant of choice for business meetings, for out-of-town friends, for family celebrations. Delicious food, great ambiance, excellent service, and The View.
Just fantastic place to have dinner or just come for drinks. The lounge is comfortable, cozy and the views are superb. The service is beyond comparison. Our server Russell was incredibly professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The food choices were awesome, and so delicious! Overall one of the best LA dining experiences you can have!
Lovely ! Tasty food and great view
Our service was slow and inattentive.
I ordered a crab salad .. it was served with canned crab. It was terrible.
The wine took forever to be searved.
The only good thing i can say is the bread was good.
I will not go back or recommend to anyone. Waste of money
While food was a typical SoCal fare, service was excellent, friendly and non-obtrusive.
Perfect night but skip the Mac and cheese. Sorry.
Dont waste your money on this. Only thing remarkable about the place is the view
This place was amazing and the menu was superb and in fact our server was more than attentive and surely made us feel at home and welcomed.
I've been here before, many times, this time the brunch food was naaaasssstyyy!!! Even the straight forward pancakes, dang!
I was very very disappointed!
Location was excellent. Service was excellent. A bit noisy when I arrived but was better once the music ended.
Easy parking and nothing was overpriced
The view, the nice service people and the jazz - really nice!
The dinner was one of the best I have ever had. Home made ingredients were superb and welcome
to be able to taste. The homemade dessert with the chocolate syrup stuffed in to the chocolate
cake and topped with the homemade ice cream was excellent as well. Service was great and the no tipping policy for West was a pleasant surprise
fantastic views, convenient valet parking, sufficient menu selection, aging interior furnishings.
Great views/food was great/noise level was good you could hold a conversation without shouting.
This is a non-gratuity restaurant so tip is included in cost of the food since the workers are paid a
living wage although we did leave a nominal tip.We will definitely be back
Food is great!
Soup was good but small portion in a cup. Not much presentation. Jambalaya was very good.
I am not alone in writing that the view is spectacular. Service and food were outstanding.
My stay at the Hotel and Restaurant was very elegant. I enjoyed the amenities. Valet parking was not a problem. The food was good. The locations and view from my room and restaurant was great. I was well pleased!
Overall, a lovely experience. Drinks were excellent. Food was very good with generous portions. Views were amazing. Staff were very attentive. We had a wonderful evening!
Restaurant is on the 17th floor , a spectacular view of city and ocean.
Food is delicious , nice presentation and large potions.
Great view, the restaurant looks bigger in pictures it’s a decent size. It’s not require to give tip that’s why I think the waiter wasn’t attentive. The food was ok for the price.
Food was great. Service was horrific.
Waitress came to our table and greeted us with. “what do you want to order”? No hello. No would you like a drink?
When she came by the 2nd time I gave my drink order. She asks “do you want to order any food? I said yes. Would you like to tell us if there are any specials? She says oh yeah then explains and doesn’t know how any of the items are prepared. Ie grilled, fried, baked?
Doesn’t offer bread but other tables have so we asked for some. Had to ask for table to be cleared after waiting 20 min. Another 20 min I ask do you offer dessert or should we go somewhere else ? She tells us about desert we order then have to beg for our check. Was our anniversary stayed overnight at the hotel - I put this in our dinner reservation. No mention of it during dinner
Great view, mediocre food, slow service.....
This is our favorite spot when we visit LA from San Diego. After having slogged our way thru LA on the 405, we love to got to West and relax while looking at the city and the 405. Good food and service. We have recommended it to friends visiting the Getty.
It was ok. We were moved into another room, so it changed the whole feeling of what I expected. The host was fantastic. Had orderves earlier and the were good. The bar tender male could have been more pleasant. He looked like he did not want to be there.
I was referred to WEST for my anniversary and I can definitely say that we’ll be back! I’ve already told my friends and family that they need to go here. There was a waiter named Henry and he is PHENOMENAL!!! Henry is the nicest guy, really on top of everything, and a waiter that I wish would work at every single restaurant I’ve ever been too. He was a total class act and there aren’t enough amazing words that my girlfriend and I could say about Henry :) If you are lucky enough to have him serving you then you will definitely understand. Best waiter I’ve probably ever had and definitely helped make this anniversary memorable for a very long time. In addition, the food was terrific and very reasonable prices. We had the ribeye and jambalaya and both were delicious and so was the lava cake. Also, picture perfect views to take of Los Angeles if you want a great photo! :)
We arrived, found our way up to West on the top floor only to be told fairly rudely that the restaurant was booked for a private event and dinner would instead be served on the rather depressing lounge on the 16th floor. No apologies offered!
Terrible service, terrible on beyond, average food. I want to this restaurant thinking I was going to see great views of the city and eat some scallops. But instead I was placed in some random overflow room at a small table with an air-conditioning blowing on me. Absolutely terrible I will never go back
