West Main Crafting Co.
Our food menu is a thoughtful, Kentucky Proud, exploration of fresh and regional produce, with shareable plates as well as entrees, and daily specials. After 10:30 on weekend nights we also have our Late Night menu of lifesaving, breakfast-inspired food.
As much as we love enthusiasts of all ages, we are strictly a 21 & up venue, and can accommodate no minors, toddlers or infants. For parties over 6, please call 859.618.6318, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Great food and drink, first class experence, we loved the lamb dishes and the hand crafted drinks!
Best dinner experience in Lexington! Drinks and food were amazing!
Great atmosphere, outstanding cocktails. Really appreciate the dedication to providing drinks built from scratch ingredients. Food was very good with one exception. Portion sizes were fair but not generous. Other three in party were pleased with their entrees. I had the half rack of lamb special at $41. Two double cut chops, good flavor but chewy and difficult to manage. Gave up after 5-6 bites. Only thing that caused me to give 4 stars. Overall really good restaurant.
We sat and met Christian (I believe was his name) the bartender and he crafted amazing drink for us while we waited for our table. Davin was our server and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a very amazing experience to celebrate our anniversary.
Great food and drinks along with nice atmosphere. Nice place!
The decor and ambiance were well suited to its 'cocktails with friends, or dinner' vibe. There were a couple of groups near the front having drinks, people at the bar, and the tables were mostly occupied. The high-top table was little used, making the space seem open and probably helped the noise level remain at a conversational level. Our server was knowledgeable about the drink and food menus and helpful in making decisions. His description of the Kaeng Phet was spot on! (If you like a little spice, try it!) The menu was interesting, the food well prepared and beautifully presented. We enjoyed it all. Had we been hungrier or the dessert menu been more compelling, we'd have had dessert but we opted out. Overall a good dining experience I'd be happy to return to. Our server was new to the restaurant and, in his eagerness to assure a good dining experience, verged on intrusive, so I marked service 'very good'.
Although the West Main Crafting Co. specializes in unique cocktails, we were there for the food. Several vegan options were excellent. We had a fresh pasta, hummus, fresh bread, and mushroom scrapple. They were all excellent, and relatively unique. We didn't have to have special requests or modifications--they had dishes that were already flavorful as vegan meals. Cudos!
Food and service were amazing! Awesome date night!
Handcrafted cocktails, with attention to every detail. Artfully prepared. Professional and friendly service
West Main Crafting, our new favorite. Great job 👍
Tried West Main Crafting Co. for the first time. Enjoyed a very lovely anniversary dinner and have already recommended it! It is a REALLY great option for some truly fine dining and craft cocktails without going to the steakhouse giants downtown and without those hefty prices. We had the chicken two ways and filet mignon (which were recommended by our awesome server, Tiffany) and both were simply delicious - as well as the charred carrots to start and the craft cocktails!
Best sazarac ever! Innovative menu with lots of choices...look forward to an opportunity to go back
We made a reservation and modified the time 45 minutes once 2 hours before reservation. Arrived 2 minutes prior to reservation time and front staff told us we were over 2 hours late for reservation. I stated we are still 2 minutes early and she said let me see what we can do. We had multiple couple reservations and were sitting near another reservation. The staff came back and said we can squeeze you in when over half the table were unoccupied. She made us feel unwelcome. Drinks were good. Great place, but service was bad this night!
Outstanding at every level: food, unique craft cocktails and service. So good we went two nights in a row.
Once again our experience was amazing. The cocktails are fantastic, food was savory and very tasty, and the service was perfect. Of we will be back... many more times!
This is one of the best places in Lexington. The cocktails are unparalleled . Beautiful and delicious . The food is also delicious and creative. Beautiful presentation. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly yet unobtrusive .Can’t say enough good things. Go there !
A fascinating selection of interesting cocktails, ours were great. The barbecued carrots were an excellent start and my wife's pork belly was excellent as was my filet mignon.
The food was delicious. The drinks were great. The chef came to the table and was very nice and welcoming.Charles our waiter not to much seemed like we weren’t his favorite customer. My wife hade scrapple and enjoyed every bite. I had the pork belly special and it was just that special, the squash with the Brussels sprouts was a flavor explosion in my mouth.
I had the Panda Panda Panda cocktail again it was just awesome. My wife had a castle in the sky it to was very good.
I would recommend this place highly
West Main has whatever cocktail you need: high-quality basics, or imaginative creations you would never think up on your and couldn’t make at home. The food menu is somewhat short, but still plenty sufficient, with locavore and vegan options. This is the only restaurant in Kentucky that has excited me enough to warrant more than five visits.
This was a truly enjoyable experience from the waiting staff to the charcuterie and finally the main course. My wife had duck breast and I had the halibut special which were both outstanding and creative. We took dessert home which were also excellent. The room was quiet and private. For a bar that prides itself on its cocktail menu, the dinner was quite a pleasant surprise !👍👍👍👍😋
Whole meal experience was very lovely. We were only visiting the area for the night and know next to nothing about Lexington. West main happened to be a few steps from our hotel. Very happy with everything! Definitely try the hickory smash.
Way too boujee. Not friendly for groups, overpriced, and not worth your value, with mediocre at best cocktails. For starters, if you have a group of six or more, you are sitting at high top tables with stools. It is dark, really dark. They need some additional lighting for the bar area. Multiple people in our group needed to use their phones to see the menu. The food is very very good but well overpriced for the portion sizes.
To anyone looking for a good dinner and cocktails in Kentucky, I'd recommend Middlefork, OBC Kitchen, or Carson's over this wannabe.
Sat at the bar as it is fun to watch them prepare the specialty cocktails. Highly recommend.
We had an awesome time. Only small glitch in the evening was there was only one bartender which made bar service slow. Our server, Tyler was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and fun.
The food, drinks, ambiance and service were exceptional. The chef was receptive to limiting salt where h could for a friend who is salt intolerant. We’ll be back!
Great service and fun drink menu. So many options. Food menu is not extensive but very high quality.
This restaurant's cocktails were amazing and unique. A tad pricey for the dinner with the amount of food you get, but tasty nonetheless.
A very classy and intimate place. The craft cocktails are AMAZING, some of the best I have ever had. I would say its on par with "Japps" in Cincinnati. Food was excellent. A limited menu but interesting choices that are well made. I do highly rate this place for its ambiance, cool without being pretentious.
Great food and service! Definitely going back! Has best original drinks and cocktails in Lexington.
Amazing cocktail selection and the food was outstanding.
West Main crafting was okay, not great. First we made reservations and were sat at a high top, community table
The stools were uncomfortable and we add to hear the annoying conversation of other diners. So for this price point, I expect better. The food was okay. The only positive of the experience was our server was attentive and nice. Overall, there are better restaurants in Lexington with a better atmosphere.
Hello, We're so sorry your experience was less than extraordinary. We assign our reservations to tables based on their explicit requests as well as offering priority to those who made their reservations first. Please accept our apologies that your seating arrangement wasn't ideal. We are so thankful for your kind words about your service; we work hard to make sure everyone feels they've been well attended. Thank you for your feedback, and we do hope to see you again.
Excellent service. Both the host and our waiter spent an amazing amount of time answering our questions and interacting with us on a very busy night. The food was excellent although I thought extremely small portions. The drinks are the real reason to go here though and everyone should order a cocktail.
We went restaurant week and the scallops were delicious!!
Excellent food and cocktails. Wished they had more options for vegan/vegetarian eaters.
Creative and delicious cocktails. Outstanding service and great food.
Great place. Their craft cocktails are on point!
Drinks and service outstanding.
One dish a bit heavy on salt however, all the food tasty.
Amazing food!!! Can’t say enough about the menu and the wonderful food.
Fabulous food, impeccable service, perfectly crafted cocktails. Will definitely return -and soon!
We made early reservations because we were walking to the Opera House for West Side Story. Our server, Tiffany was doing her last night of training but she clearly didn’t need any more. Tiffany thoroughly and charmingly described the concept and selections. It was hard to choose, but we chose well. The panzanella salad and mushroom bruschetta starters were amazing. Our entrees were also amazing-beef tenderloin cooked MR to perfection and the lamb sausages over couscous and veggies. Ingredients are locally sourced and so fresh. The stars of this show are the cocktails. I loved the pisco punch. Was tempted to try cocktail flight, but our theatre beconned. We did allow for dessert-pavlova which was unique, delicious and not too filling when shared. We will definitely return and ask for Tiffany!
Great atmosphere and drink selection. Very small food menu with not many options and very pricey.
