The Brussels Sprouts were tasty, the BBQ was good but cold, and I wish I hadn't poured the mediocre cold BBQ sauce over my food it made it worse. We ordered the rib and brisket platters, I think we would have been better off ordering the sandwiches instead, they looked good and hot, now I know why everyone was eating them except us. Lesson learned.
Over cooked ribs burger not well done server was not very informative about food and alleges never refilled waters.
Philly cheesesteak was no longer on the online menu. When we called we were told, yes we still have it. Got there and nope, no Philly. Still enjoyed ourselves.
The place has a coolness factor of being outside in a live part of town. Unfortunately, that is where most of the excitement ended because the food was mediocre. Had the burnt ends and they were severely dry and actually burnt so I think they took the name too literal. Fish and chips were good but for the price, left more to be desired. Kids food was meh. Service was good though so it saved from being trashed but confused at how this place had a 4.5 star rating to date when I booked.
We were there for CU Parent's Weekend with another family and our server was rude and ultimately refused to serve our table. The Manager was also accusatory and rude and I will be telling everyone I can about the horrible experience we had at this once respected and well known restaurant. Never going to even consider going there again.
Our first server left without saying anything. After a while a new server took over our table and did a good job. Problem with the ambience, we were seated near a bus cart and there were a lot of bees at our table.
Overall the experience was still very good.
Amazing brisket sandwiches! Butter cake was to die for!! Brussel sprout appetizer was delicious!! Awesome ambiance! Super crowded because it was family weekend. Expected long waits! Didn’t complain, but manager, Zach still took care of us, he went above and beyond!!!
Always good food!! Pretty cool on rooftop, but propane heaters do the trick. Service was spotty, but only one server on the roof and place was busy. Probably the best barbecue in town!!! Be sure to go early to get some burnt ends!!
Had wings as appetizer. Excellent.
Had a lettuce wedge with blue cheese. Excellent. Had ribs. Meat was tough. BarBQ sauce was ok but not great. Would not get ribs at West End again.
Should have a reservation as West End is very popular. Great Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Terrific selection of beers. Highly recommend.
Good bar food, especially fries. Server was patient with our changing group. Only issue was that diet coke was flat.
Fantastic meal, great ambiance, and very helpful server. Had planned on getting burgers based on the reviews, but couldn't pass up the BBQ.
It took us about 30 minutes to get a drink, and service was very slow and unenthusiastic throughout the evening.food was fine, but they were out of pulled pork and cheesesteak at our 7:30 reservation. Pretty disappointing experience here.
We received a warm welcome and they immediately set to work on finding us the outdoor table we requested on their upper patio deck. Prompt service, excellent cocktails, and good food.
Took some out of town guests here for lunch and a stroll down the Pearl Street Mall.We had a Cobb salad, two orders of burnt ends, the bbq platter, a chicken club sandwich and an order os cooked Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. Everyone loved their food with the cooked Brussel sprouts being especially appreciated. Atmosphere was great with a well stocked bourbon wall behind the bar. Glad I chose this place to eat.
Good burgers. We ordered medium rare and they came out burnt to a crisp. Someone doesn't know how to use a griddle. The bacon was amazing, bread was good. They upcharged us three dollars on a side of aioli. Honestly the food tasted pretty good. We were imagining what it would be like there if they had the food prep and service in order. They'd be a must-visit bar in Boulder. Overall, still recommended for a sandwich and a beer.
Asked for the burger to be well done. It was pink on the middle. Otherwise it tasted good. Just wish it was well done. They forgot the tomato. Service was slow because of being short handed.
Very good delicious food and drinks. Service was very slow not sure if just short staffed that day or something else but not communicated why. Took over an hour to get our food from when we ordered it. Didn’t knock down to much for that as we have been there two other times and it wasn’t bad. Just wish we had been informed and maybe a complimentary drink for the very long wait.
Y'all were great. We would definitely return. Very accomodating.
Good we got a seat right away but once we got our food we knew why it wasn’t busy. None of us liked our dinners and we left our plates full. Our server was pleasant—not her fault. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Fish restaurant next door was very busy—I’d go there next time.
Food was fantastic and service was really good. Especially as restaurants struggle to find employees…give them a break!
Amy - We really appreciate you and this positive review. The struggle is real and we are trying our best. Thank you
We really enjoyed our meal, but the service was not well calibrated. Our server was well meaning. We ordered a large platter and had a hard time getting enough side plates or drinks refilled. It was all very verbal which made our conversation more focused on that than on each other. The finer points of service could be more closely attended to overall.
I took my son and some friends from CU to dinner and they were able to accommodate a last minute change to our group…from 6 to 8, without missing a beat. The service was awesome and the food perfect. The cocktails were great and their whiskey selections are quite extensive. Would definitely recommend anything from the smoker and off the whiskey menu!
Thank you Gino. Glad you all had a nice time.
The rooftop was very lovely for my out-of-state friends.
Thank you we appreciate the nice review. Thank you Tara,
Went here for dinner while visiting Boulder. Food was tasty and wait staff friendly.
Good "pub" offerings, especially the happy hour choices. However, limited menu for a regular dinner. I would not recommend the bed brisket, as it was extremely fatty.
The service was subpar. The restaurant is understaffed and the servers were uninterested, unenergetic, unaware of the menu, and unmotivated. I will not eat here again which is a shame because the food is actually good.
Spent the day on Pearl street and this was a great way to end the day! Great food and service. The rooftop dining was wonderful.
The food was outstanding, especially the smoked brisket. Service was spotty, but not shocking for a busy Saturday night. The outdoor table where we sat was a wooden picnic table that got a little uncomfortable after an hour or so.
Delicious food with an awesome rooftop dining experience.
The lobster roll is seriously incredible! We loved the outdoor aspect no matter where you’re sitting in the tavern and the wait staff is super personable and a thrill to dine with!
Thank you Hannah! The Lobster roll is the best!
Rooftop area was fun and the service at the upstairs bar while we waiting was great! Food was tasty and portions were large. The Galactic Lemonade yummy and refreshing!
Thank you! We appreciate the review and support. This is so fantastic we are glad you enjoyed.
Best barbecue in Boulder. Rooftop ding is always a delight. Great food and attentive service
Thank you BOULDERDAVE. We really appreciate you and your support!!!!

Super friendly staff! Food & beverage were excellent. We’ll be back!
Thank you very much.
Thank you !!!!
Burnt ends were the bomb! Cool vibes. Definitely will be back.
Thank you Rob. We are glad you enjoyed.
Food was very good. Had Brussels sprouts, burnt ends ( or something like that) they were so good. Brisket for dinner, also very good.
Thank you Laura. We are so glad you enjoyed.
The falafel salad, lemonade, burnt ends and even the kids meal were so delicious. Great beer variety. Awesome spot for a casual lunch. Service was wonderful too.
Thank you for the nice review.
Food was excellent. Great selection of BBQ options - delicious!! Drink and whiskey selections were wonderful. We enjoyed happy hour and then dinner.
Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed the BBQ. Hope to see you soon.
