Wonderful dinner experience! We were out on a Saturday night and all restaurants in the Del Mar Plaza were packed at 7pm. A quick look at Open Table and West End showed up as having an open reservation at 7:30pm. I called them after booking the reservation to make sure it was ok to bring a small dog. When we arrived there was plenty of parking and they sat us right away. The food was really good, everyone raved about their choice. Loved the chipotle pasta and the crab ravioli, and the duck dish looked very good. Kara made our dinner a lot of fun, even brought a small treat for my friend's puppy. I am not a local to San Diego but my friends are and I can tell you they will be returning soon. I definitely will next time I am down there.

Very nice outside seating areas and a partially outside covered area. Happy to have back in our rotation. Food is always great. Full bar. Nice winelist. One of our regular favorites.

This is a wonderful restaurant and dining experience. Sal and his crew made our dinner an enjoyable experience and the food was excellent! Highly recommend the experience.

First time at the restaurant. We were one of two tables occupied in the whole restaurant. The fish tacos were too salty to eat. The pancakes where flat like cardboard. We complained and they still made us pay for us. Service was horrible we had to walk into the indoor dinning area twice to get our waitress attention. She didn't even follow up with us to see if our brunch was good. The whole experience was horrible.

Food was fantastic. Ambience was very cozy and covid friendly. Lovely evening

Great menu and value for brunch and a definite improvement from the previous place Iris.

The food is consistently delicious and great quality as well as a good value. Sunsets are very nice there as well. We felt they did a good job of spreading out the tables outside and felt safe. We were able to see the football game from inside through the glass which was nice. Great spot!

We always have great meal at West End! They had half off all wine bottles that weekend and we took advantage. Service was great and the food was excellent. Loved the Brussel sprouts appetizer!

although we were able to get a table well-distanced from others, Ithoughtinmany place the tables were too close together to be safe during the pandemic.

Nice setting looking toward Torrey Pines beach. Duck potstickers, $12, decent flavor, a little dry, pan fried, with sweet chili and lemon grass dipping sauce. Crispy calamari, $14, crusted with Panko. Small, circular, portions, sausage-sized, about a half inch in radius, tough, served with marinara sauce and soy wasabi. Prime beef short rib stew, $33. Braised short ribs, with carrots, mushrooms, potato. A bit dry. Disinterested service, as if in a hurry to turn the table.

West End Bar & Kitchen was such a pleasant surprise. We went for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was good, the service friendly and prompt, and the view was fantastic. Overall great experience.

Excellent food and service. Due to Covid went very early hoping for fewer diners and that worked well.
The crusted pork, duck, clam chowder were excellent. Good value and will definitely return and recommend.
