Great food, beautiful restaurant! Hamburgers are really good & my husband loves the blueberry pancakes!
The food and service was excellent. The bartender did not understand my order and came over to my table in the dining room to ask a question.
Excellent all around!
Great food and service from Vlad. The vibe of the place was a little arrogant chic like you need to be really hip to be here. That is the only reason it was not a five star rating.
I was not displeased with the dining experience. It is a nice place and great decor. Food was good, just didn't blow me away. Portions could have been larger for the price. Overall, was a good experience. I would still recommend it to others, unless you want larger portions.
My sister graduated from VCU this past weekend and it was also Mother’s Day. We brought our mom to West Coast Provisions and we could not have picked a better restaurant. Everything was PHENOMENAL! We ordered a variety of dishes and did the typical family taste tests, and not a single complaint. The pineapple coconut mojito was AMAZING, and so was the Crab Cake Benedict. The banana pancakes? SOOOOO yummy! Grilled oysters were absolutely delicious. It was a bit cold in the restaurant, but we were blessed enough to be sat right next to the fireplace. Courtney was also a wonderful server! Can’t wait to patronize again :)
We had the same server for Mother’s Day as we did on Easter. And he was awesome. The brunch is amazing and the specialty drinks were great.
We loved our dinner at West Coast Provisions! From the drinks and appetizers we had at the bar (we arrived early so waited at the bar) to the dinner and dessert, everything was excellent. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because we watched the server brush chunks of food on the floor under our table as a way to clean the table before we sat down!? My daughter stepped in food. Although it wasn't a lot nor big deal, I would expect a little better from this level of dining. Otherwise, awesome experience and would come back!
The quantity and quality of the food was not worth the price. It wasn’t terrible, but we probably will not go back again. Also, waiter kept pushing us to order more food which was not pleasant.
Menu same as East Coast in Carytown, but didn’t taste as good. Service was slooooooooow, although server was pleasant. Hostesses were not, and stood around all evening instead of helping clearly overwhelmed server.
Excellent meal and excellent waiter! We highly recommend West Coast Provision.
We had a variety of food, shrimp and grits, sushi, seared salmon, fish tacos and roasted oysters. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much. We all agree a little pricey. Definitely will go again.
Fabulous food and love the decor and ambiance. Wait staff was great too!
dined outside on a great evening. Food and service were excellent.
Beautiful place and food
We had a wonderful dinner as part of Restaurant Week...great choices for their menu. Our server was very attentive with a super nice personality!
Service was so slow throughout the night.
During restaurant week we chose West Coast. Previous experience was not good, but this was outstanding. Our server was enthusiastic, provided information and was genuinely friendly. Food was great. Fish tacos and salmon cooked perfectly. Sat in the bar area to enjoy happy hour; will definitely be back.
Service started slow and got better, food was great.
Love this place! The food is always good. Some had the hamburger with a salad; although a couple of people wanted ranch and nothing like that is available. I love something different so I was fine with unusual dressing choices. The special of the day was quiches and everyone enjoyed that as well. Our server Jason is great!
Great food, great service and a very good dining experience.
Our meal started great, our service was fantastic. When dinner was served we were not impressed. Crab cakes were mostly filler and very small, with a side dish that over had too many flavors to enjoy what was in it. My husbands mahi had so much peppercorn he could not eat it and his side dishes were bland. So, from one end of the table to the other the dishes were opposites. We went with a gift card and glad we did, our total was way to high for what we ate of our meals. Bummer!
Family in town
Crab cakes are amazing. I recommend the Richmond mule.
Excellent food, but way too loud. They need to do something to absorb the noise. It just wasn't pleasant.
Really enjoyed this restaurant, the food, service, vibe. The only negative was it does not have enough soft spaces/items to absorb noise. Since it was a double date on a Friday night, the place was packed and it was difficult for us to hear each other without yelling. Everything else about it is a great experience if they can just recognize and remedy the acoustics.
The seafood entrees are very trendy and pricey. Small plates seemed to be better choices. There was not a large crowd but was very noisy. We were in a booth and had a hard time hearing one another. Our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, friendly and offered suggestions. Great decor. Not sure I'd go back but it is worth checking out.
Nice place with good food. Very small portions for the price on the lunch entree menu.
Very good meal! Everyone enjoyed the burgers, the crab sandwich, fries and lava cake dessert for my husband's birthday! They did not have the blueberries for the blueberry pancakes so had to choose something else. We were very pleased.
West Coast Provisions was an unexpected treat. We took some friends there for dinner and the food and service were excellent. I will go back on my own, as there were several interesting looking dishes.
I had the fish tacos which were the right serving size and very good.
Ate dinner at West Coast on a Saturday night with reservations. We were seated right away as there were very few patrons in the restaurant. I guess that was the indicator of poor quality. Considering this is a specialty restaurant (seafood) I was not impressed by any item that I tasted. Ordered the raw oysters and each one had shell shards. Shouldn't happen at a seafood restaurant. Also had the tuna carpaccio which was very odd in presentation and taste. Not sure it was even tuna as the color of the "tuna" was white. I had the scallop entree which only comes with 3 scallops. The entree is served with rice which was watery. All in all not a good experience and don't think I will return
The customer service, food and atmosphere was fantastic!
We were celebrating 3 birthdays. The tables are very small. Our party of 6 was rather crammed together with seated tables next to us so not much room to spread out. Service is excellent, mixed drinks and beer selection excellent, menu is delicious. We were told we would have an opportunity to have Birthday dessert brought out but that didn’t happen and dessert wasn’t even offered by our waitress, so we just skipped that portion of the meal. Overall, a place we will definitely go back to again.
Food and service were excellent. Ambiance and noise level can be improved with some acoustics and some dividers/partial walls.
Geat service. Amazing happy hour food!
Me and my wife had a dinner date, the server was very attentive and so polite. The food on the other hand wasn’t up to the standard we thought. I had the lamb rack and it was okay, I was hungry so I ate it. My wife had the 6oz filet mignon, she ordered it medium but It was more of mid rare and her asparagus was hard even though it seemed grilled. We didn’t say anything to the server because we didn’t want to be that couple. It seemed as if our food was rushed since the kitchen was about to close in 35 minutes. I understand the cooks point of view on pre-cleaning to leave on time or early. I don’t think anyone should receive Poor quality food, doesn’t matter if the kitchen closes in 2 minutes. Every guest deserves to have a nice meal, that was our first time dining in and don’t think well give it another shot. I’m guessing don’t dine in after 8 pm, you may be disappointed.
Dinner at the bar was very enjoyable - service was outstanding and dinner delightful. My only gripe was the charge for soda water, even with ordering 5 drinks between my wife and I.
Food was great and easy parking and stylish interior - just really pricey
Excellent food and service. Was seated in the room with the fireplace that added a nice ambiance and was quieter.
The donut dessert recommended by Ali was super.
Abby, our server, was terrific. Very knowledgeable from the wines to the special sauces on the fish dishes. Fun, energetic vibe with delicious food. Lots of menu choices.
Fun place with great food and service!
