   We booked a table for eleven am for three people indoors as the weather forecast wasn’t great, however when we got there on time we had to wait 20 minutes and then we were seated outside, and there were people behind us who got served first. Absolutely no point in booking.

   Outstanding food focused cafe in West Footscray with gorgeous pastries and some interesting cocktails and wines by glass too, depending on whether you're after a traditional brunch or a recovery breakfast with some hair of the dog!

   The best thing about this place is the food is consistently good. However, it's loud and busy and the persistence with turning tables by continually interrupting people, essentially 'pressuring' them to order is off-putting and spoils what could be a chill vibe. In all honesty, would not be my first preference.

   The high-level: An odd place, with odd staff and ok food. Read on if you'd like to know more. Booked a table with our parents, we were seated, it was right under a speaker and they were playing house (electronic dance) music, (9am on Saturday?) really loud, weirdly loud. Waiter was nice enough, had a brief chat with us to create rapport, all well and good, until he just wouldn't stop talking about their parent's private/exclusive accomodation for VIP's? Took him an awkward few minutes of him talking before he realised he hadn't taken our coffee orders down. Someone else came to us a few minutes later for our food orders, when repeating back to us to make sure they had it right, there was a few errors, which is fine because that's why you repeat back the order. However, when the food came out, it was still wrong (one of us didn't receive a side of what they ordered, someone got a side of something they didn't even order). Food was good/ok. Coffees arrived *after* the food arrived, so you can imagine how long that took.

   Always love this cafe in close walking distance from my house. Great vegan and vegetarian options. I had the scrambled tofu with mushrooms which was delicious as always. Service not up to usual standard. Interrupted a few times when waitress kept wanting to take my half full bowl of food and then after eating she ignored us and we had to ask for a cup of coffee. She didn’t really seem interested. Other staff friendly and attentive.

    staff were extremely accommodating to Melbourne changing weather, our outside booking with our fur baby. loved the blankets that were on offer for us to use. friendly place. great food and coffee. wait time was as expected due to how busy they were at 12pm but not excessive.

    We enjoyed our breakfast catch up with friends . Such a lovely vibe. We had Corn Fritters , generous servings , The breaky dog was yummy and the Sambal Coconut Eggs had the most delicious home made roti!! Good coffee and great service too . Very happy .

    We were seated quickly. When our order was taken it took 2.5 hours for it to come out. They forgot to put our order in. We watched others who came after us receive their food. We weren’t checked on at all the whole time.

    The corn fritter stack was appalling. I’ve eaten it there before and it was amazing. This time it was like a deep fried corn bhaji. Hardly any avocado. Wasn’t worth the price at all. I was still hungry after.

    Hands down my favourite cafe in the West! My partner and I have taken many of our friends to West 48 as we know we'll always be in for some amazing food and excellent coffee. If you're heading there over a weekend, You should definitely book ahead. Service is always friendly and prompt. I could not recommend this cafe more highly.

    5 of us came for breakfast and was thoroughly enjoyed.... Only complaint was the brisket dish was a little small.... Other than that great food, generous services.... Great service.... And most importantly great coffee
