We went here from my husband’s birthday. We had a group of 12 of us. Not one person was a bit disappointed with their food. The kids, even like the broccolini. Everything tasted phenomenal. Their steaks are just so flavorful. The drinks are beautiful. The manager and staff are so friendly. My brother-in-law who came in from the far western suburbs wants to make this a regular family place to meet. We’re locals and in the neighborhood and encourage you all to explore and experience the consistency and deliciousness of this Mexican steakhouse.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Service was outstanding, the food was mouth watering, and the prices were unbeatable. We started off the meal with the queso fundido with chorizo. It came with four tortillas that tasted homemade. To say it was delicious would be an understatement. The pull on the cheese would rival any seen on TikTok. The chorizo added a salty, spicy kick to the cheese. For our entree, we ordered the carne asada para 2. The meal, which easily fed 2 people, came with grilled short ribs, flank steak, chorizo, grill onion, corn, and 2 chilis. Each piece of meat was better than the last. Additionally, the entree came with two heaping salads that were perfectly dressed. We had seen pictures of the meal online, but it was even more tantalizing in person. We also ordered the papas bravas as a side. Topped with pickled red onions, the mountain of perfectly seasoned and sauced potatoes was so good that I could have eaten just that. Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert, but I’ll be sure to try it the next time we go. Westso’s address is Chicago, but it’s only 5 minutes from Rosemont and 20 minutes from Old Orchard mall. So after a day of shopping, head over to a hidden gem that takes Mexican steakhouses to a new level.

We dined at 3p on a Saturday. The air conditioning was malfunctioning so it was quite warm inside. It was just us and one other table, yet service was a bit slow and steaks were overcooked. Not sure we will return even though this restaurant is in our immediate neighborhood.

This was our first time dining here. Service was great to start, then tailed off. Definitely recommend the Weso Margarita! The corn ribs and ceviche were solid. We ordered the Carne Asada para Dos which was plentiful but the short ribs were chewy with very little meat. Chorizo was the star of the show and the Skirt Steak with grilled onions was tasty. Our guests seemed to enjoy their steaks but for us likely not a repeat.
