The service and food were generally very good. However, I did notice a decline in the quality of the fried chicken—it wasn’t as flavorful as it used to be. It seemed like the seasoning or marinade had changed, resulting in a less satisfying taste. That said, the rest of the dishes were excellent. The fish was outstanding, and both the pork rice and beef noodles were delicious. Overall, it was a positive dining experience, though I was quite disappointed with the fried chicken.

The music was loud so it was hard to hear even the people at the same table as me. The service was fine, if anything it felt like we were being rushed with the speed food was being brought out, unless that's something you like. The portions are kind of small, so order several dishes. One rice dish was just enough for four people, so definitely order more for a bigger crowd or if you want more rice.

Amazing, we can’t wait to go back. Four of us got there at open to secure one of the FIVE available yellow fat chickens, among a bunch of other dishes, the dong bei, lo ba beng, whole striped bass, beef fat chili oil noodle and dessert, we shared all of this. It was nonstop explosion of flavor throughout dinner. The team here know what they are doing, the drinks were great as well. In borough full of standout places, Wenwen should move to the top of people’s lists.

I have dined at Wenwen twice and intend to return soon. I cannot critique a single thing about this gem of a restaurant. From attentive service to delicious food served in a comfy atmosphere, Wenwen checks all boxes. The dishes are authentic and packed with flavor, while the portions are generous, perfect for family-style dining. A few highlights include Sacha Hot Honey Popcorn Chicken, Lo Ba Beng, Lill Flemming Fried Rice w/ Shrimp, FenZheng Pork, and last but certainly not least, Beef Fat Chili Oil Noodle - Miso Baijiu Short Rib, Shallot, Charred Chinese Broccoli, Thicccc Noodle. This dish is a must if you like spicy broad noodles. They are arguably the best I've had in NYC.

Great food and service. Great song choices especially the mandarin and Cantonese songs. It’s fairly expensive for the serving size and what it is though all dishes we ordered are great.
