The Welcome’s dining room in Rozelle reopened in February 2017, offering an Italian inspired menu in a casual yet intimate setting with a beautiful indoor-outdoor courtyard.
Of course, the incredible variety of The Welcome Hotel’s tap beers and Italian and local wines are popular with diners, like the 6Mura Giba Rosso (Sardinia), perfect with our 600 gr. Bistecca with truffle potato gratin, heirloom carrots, garlic purée, roast vine ripe cherry tomatoes .
For a sweet end to your meal, enjoy The Welcome’s indulgent Almond semifreddo with strawberries with a glass of Mesa ‘Orodoro’ (Sardinia).

This is my third time here. Food is always excellent. Delicious, creative, authentic. Service ranges from average to poor. The staff we had serve us are always nice and friendly but they need a bit more support & direction to be really consistent. Lots of potential, and I hope they nail the service soon as that will keep us coming back.

A fairly frequent restaurant location for us, (a visit every couple of monts or so) must say things weren't running as smoothly last night. Service very slow and eratic, new overheard lighting has been Installed that kills the ambience of what's a nice room, and food not the usual excellent standard. Not our usual good experience, hopefully just due to the long weekend short staffing.

Been here multiple times. This time it was below par. $75 steak full of fat and not high quality Entrees lacking in flavour. Disappointing considering I brought two local friends in and it was underwhelming.

The experience was marred by the blonde waitress who seemed to think we were children in her school room that she need to bring to order. She passed food/drinks across diners without any comment - just an arm poked in front of a diner. Food and drink could have, as the brunette waitress did, pass it from the side of diners. One friend said the blonde waitress was abrupt another said she was lacking in customer service. The 'background music' was too loud for easy conversation and for the waitress to hear our requests.

We had a great 3 course lunch special for $40 which was incredible good value. Food was delicious.

A fantastic neighbourhood gem, the Welcome is authentic, with great bar and lovely little Italian restaurant. Four of us in the restaurant’s courtyard, it was just so pleasant with wonderful and perfect service.
