Awesome food! Awesome service. We had a big table so it seemed a bit slow but totally worth it. Would definitely be back!
Sooo good ! Food amazing
Good brunch - plates were large and we enjoyed the food. Nice bakery items!
I had made reservations for 7 people and a friend showed up after we had been seated. The hostess was so nice about the change and moved us to a larger table. Many restaurants would not be this accommodating!
James the manager is fantastic!! The service is always great and the food is even better!! This is my brunch staple!!!
My friend ordered on the HRW menu while I ordered off the regular menu. While the waiter asked if I wanted my food at the time of her appetizer or entree, that was the only good thing he did. He either put the order in wrong or the kitchen messed up because the table next to us got their HRW appetizer immediately despite sitting and ordering long after us. However, after they got their entrees, the waiter brought something for my entree, and we had to ask about my friend's appetizer. The waiter and the guy who finally brought it out all seemed very surprised. Not sure if it was just our waiter, but all the other patrons seemed to be having an enjoyable experience while we were just an after thought. I enjoyed my food, but not sure that my friend will ever return.
When hosting colleagues from out of the country, I chose Weights and Measures as the perfect luncheon spot. As always, service was second to none. Everyone from the valet staff, the host and the wait staff were courteous and professional. The food was excellent with my recommendations of the chick pea hummus and the Tuscan Kale Panzanella thoroughly enjoyed. I first came to Weights and Measures on a friend's recommendation and will continue to recommend Weights and Measures to my friends and colleagues.
Houston Restaurant Week table for two during lunch. Menu options were varied and the 1st and 2nd courses were excellent. 3rd course was bland, which is disappointing considering that they have their own bakery up front with appetizing offerings.
Service was lacking. Multiple tables around us received the wrong food, and one of us didn't get their 1st course until 2nd course was about to come out because it was forgotten. It took a while to get the check as well when we were trying to get out for work meetings. Lunch took about 1.5 hours for two people.
Again, overall great food but service didn't meet expectations.
Fantastic food, creative approach and one of my top 3 places to dine in Houston
We went for HRW. The food was good. Service was so so. They said they could not do separate checks for the 4 of us, but they could split up the charge in our credit card. It sounded good. When I got my credit card back, I noticed I was over charged, so was my other friend. We were in a hurry, and the amount wasn't great, so I put down tip, wrote the total, and left. Several days later when I was checking credit card, I noticed the amount charged from the restaurant was higher than what I had written down including tip. I called, and was told someone would call me about it, and never received a call.
It doesn't matter how good the food is. If a restaurant is mischarging you here and there without your permission it is dishonest and fradulent. I will not recommend people to go there. If you go, watch out on your credit card bill!
Had brunch before a show at Hobby Center. $5 drink specials were fabulous. I’d recommend the doughnuts and chicken. It was better than any chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Amazing. Wait staff were super and the entire place is just cool.
Excellent brunch, food was amazing and service impeccable.
Was seated right at 8:00pm for an 8:00pm reservation. Food was excellent. However, it took approximately 2.5 hours to complete the meal. The restaurant was packed and the waiter kept coming to the table telling us the kitchen was backed up and food was delayed coming to table. As we were finishing the 1st course, he tells us our main entree was no longer available so we had to select other entree but again took forever to be delivered to table. Other than waiter giving his apology for LONG delay, management never came to table to offer apology.
It was a confusing experience- there were staff walking around everywhere, but no one could seem to accomplish a task in a timely manner. We couldn’t beg enough to keep wine glasses full for a business dinner. The “toast” on the toast app wasn’t toasted. The meatballs were dry as was the snapper. The eggplant pizza featured too thin, overcooked eggplant and raw red onions on an anemic crust. Also, the restaurant was hot and loud (at our table, at least). We were expecting more from a restaurant in our city where the bar is set so high. Hopefully this was a one off. Also, the wine list is well put together and the pricing is solid. If only the staff would deliver bottles in an appropriate amount of time and not cross contaminate the glasses.
The service was very slow. The order was not placed on time. The dessert to go was wrong.
Fantastic, gourmet food and attentive, friendly service. Visited Houston from out it town and would definitely recommend as worth a stop. 4 stars on ambiance was just because tables were so close together it was difficult to navigate restaurant... But that probably shows its popularity.
As usual, the food and service was incredible! The “background music” though was extremely loud and made it difficult for conversations.
Work going on the outside of the building, but nice and clean environment for lunch inside
I have been there many times and it is always good, upbeat, with great service. We recommend it to our friends.
Ladies lunch for HRW and as usual the food was delicious! We had a quiet table which allowed us to visit. And the service was great. One of our favorite restaurants and we will definitely go back!
Restaurant Week menu. Underwhelming. They seemed to try to make up for lack of flavor/seasoning with size. Large portions for a 4 course meal. Tenderloin was not seasoned. Dessert was a tasty berry cobbler but with mostly baked berries and cobbler pastry on top. Sort of an upside down pie but with not enough crust.
Roasted Carrot Pizza was great - I would definitely order again. HH prices are good.
Great food, service, ambiance...neighborhood gem! Love this place!
Really good food!
Outstanding food, very fresh and delicious. Short staffing and incredible long wait for food to be serve. Evening was a loss because of the poor service. Again the food was outstanding. Maybe a off night in the service
First time at this restaurant and I was very disappointed. First of all, it took our waiter 30 minutes to take our order. Then after taking our order, we find out an hour later that the kitchen can’t make 2 of the entrees at our table. We arrived at 7:50 pm and didn’t get our first course until 9:20. The table next to us was so upset that they tried to leave before the manager came. Then, at the end the waiter charged the same card twice. It seemed there was problems in multiple areas including with the chef, servers and management. I would not go back to this restaurant.
There was an issue with the computer so food was a little slow. The wait staff explained the issue and kept us up to date on the wait. Things happen occasionally and they handled it very well. The food was very good and we look forward to coming back.
Food was fantastic
Our first visit to W+M was Friday, Aug. 2, during HRW. What an amazing experience! The interior of the restaurant is just beautiful - and the food was unbelievably delicious. Perfect on all fronts. My choices from the 2019 HRW menu were the Spanish octopus, the fettuccini with wood-grilled shrimp, and the dark chocolate tarte. Still smiling about the experience, and we'll be back very soon. Don't miss this place!
Great food (highly recommend the octopus small plate) and cute ambience. Lots of parking available which is always a nice plus side.
Great meal. While the restaurant can get pretty noisy, we asked for a quieter table and they did that. It made for a nice evening.
We had a great experience here. We had a reservation for 10 people and when we got there, they sat us in a nice little room on the front surrounded on 2 sides by big windows. The drinks were unique and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the drinks and flavors. The food was incredible. We tried almost all the appetizers and the main courses were unique and delicious. Such a great time. The price wasn't cheap, but it wasn't too bad considering how much we ate and drank. Highly recommend!
Great food and great staff. My wife loves the drink selection and I like the wines. Always fun.
Great fresh tasting, beautifully presented food with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Food was good, service was very slow and our waiter was not very warm or nice
Horrible service experience. People came after we were seated, yet received their food and left before we ever got our food. It took an hour and 20 min to get food yet no one would tell us why it happened. The waiter never had any information and kept referring us to a manager who also couldn’t tell us why it was delayed. After 3 complaints and another manager got involved, we got our food and the entire meal was comp’d.
Good food and atmosphere. Eclectic patrons--we dressed up, but also locals stopping by for dinner--seems anything goes. Nice mix. Food was interesting and varied. Have friendly options for various dietary needs (for me, GF and dairy free). Our waiter was knowledgeable about how dish could be modified to meet my needs (this puts a restaurant high on my list.) Complaint: service was slooooooow. Unreasonably so, given that the restaurant was pleasantly busy, not packed. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will be likely to go back again.
Fantastic menu, great selection, very creative. Restaurant is very open, lots of natural light from large windows, sort of industrial-modern build out, with exposed beams and designer accents. Good service. Great drink selection. Overall, very well thought out and well executed. There is a dedicated glassed-in space where they make the homemade pasta. Nice touch! Outdoor patio looked enticing, even on a hot July evening. Great desserts.
The drinks and the service were great, the appetizers and some of the entrees were just ok, the house made pasta was fantastic.
